Responsibilities
Contribute toward the planning and execution of integrated operational audits in accordance with Navy Federal and industry audit standards
Identify and assess risks to develop and execute a risk-based audit work program
Occasionally act as Auditor-In-Charge on audits of lesser risk/complexity, providing guidance, coaching, and direction to Internal Audit staff regarding Navy Federal practices and industry standards
Coordinate with points of contact and first/second lines of defense to conduct preliminary research, lead process walkthroughs, document process narratives and workflows, identify key risks and controls, and obtain audit evidence for testing
Identify opportunities to leverage data analytics and technology to drive deeper risk coverage and insights to business partners
Work across multiple audits concurrently. Apply critical thinking skills by seeking to understand and execute assigned control testing and document results according to professional and internal standards
Independently review and analyze audit evidence and results of testing to determine design and operating effectiveness of controls
Identify and quantify issues and provide risk-based recommendations to implement and enhance internal controls to management in a timely manner
Prepare audit workpapers to document relevant information obtained, analyzed, and evaluated that support audit observations/issues and conclusions
Work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
Partner with business areas to ensure adequate remediation plans are developed and implemented
Contribute toward the development of high-quality, well-written, and timely audit reports for senior management, the President/CEO, and the Supervisory Committee
When asked to operate as an Auditor-In-Charge, review work papers prepared by internal auditors assigned to audits and provide coaching and mentoring
Manage audit timelines to ensure the timely reporting of identified risks and issues; report delays and issues in overall audit to management and lead resolution of audit project issues
Participate in Internal Audit strategic initiatives and act as a champion of change and continuous improvement
Stay abreast of and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and industry laws, regulations, and guidelines
Actively monitor and stay current with evolving industry trends and emerging risks that may impact the company
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum three years of experience in internal audit
Advanced knowledge of internal control concepts and practices and risk-based auditing techniques
Experience leading audits and/or overseeing other audit staff in the execution of audit work
Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, including experience working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, and vendors
Significant experience in collaborating across organizational boundaries and building partnerships across various functions
Experience in presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, and information clearly and concisely
Advanced organizational, planning and time management skills
Advanced word processing and spreadsheet software skills
Advanced critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Advanced skill in managing multiple priorities independently and operate well in a team environment to achieve goals
Advanced skill to influence, negotiate & persuade to reach agreeable exchange & positive outcomes
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
Desired Qualifications
Experience with credit union financials and/or regulations

Overview
To coordinate the repossession process and disposition of property (e.g., cars, boats, motorcycles, airplanes, etc.) that serves as collateral on Navy Federal loans. Serve as point of contact and subject matter expert regarding section functions, systems, policies and/or procedures. Work is performed under moderate supervision.
Responsibilities
Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the repossession process
Remain familiar with payment methods available to members (e.g., direct remittance, recurring deposits, Western Union Quick Collect, Speed Pay, etc.)
Communicate to members, co-makers, and/or joint owner on all aspects of the repossession process
Prepare all documents required to initiate the repossession process
Contact insurance companies for payoffs; send Letters of Guarantee, monitor for payments and send titles to insurance companies
Serve as point of contact for internal departments regarding repossessions
Select repossession agents and negotiate fees for repossession
Document all member related contact in the Repossession Tracker and in other applicable systems throughout the repossession process
Process impound notices by contacting tow companies; negotiate fees, obtain vehicle condition, reason for impoundment and documents needed to recover the collateral
Monitor and ensure updates are provided by repossession agents; assist agents with skip tracing to locate collateral as needed
Recommend accounts to skip companies and/or License Plate Recognition staging if unable to locate
Recommend accounts to be returned to LCR, or Bankruptcy if unable to locate
Submit requests for required letters for redemption/reinstatement; ensure letters are accurate and mail them in accordance with State regulations to members
Assist members with reinstatement or redemption of their vehicle; contact the agent or auction to have the vehicle released to the member
Prepare documents to submit to the Department of Motor Vehicles to process a repossession title or to sell the collateral
Maintain an overall quality assurance audit rating of 90%
Determine floor price and send required documents to auction; release vehicles for sale in Auto IMS
Receive auction bids received thru various communication channels (e.g., email, telephone, fax, Auto IMS, etc.); determine if auction offer can be accepted and that the number of bids aligns with State requirements; determine if counting the bid will be required, or decline the offer and request that the vehicle be run on the next sale date
Review and process sale proceeds with accounting department to ensure funds are applied properly to the member's account
Submit requests to reduce interest rates to "0" on open book loans with a deficiency balance
Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and Navy Federal policies and procedures
Maintain records of repossessions and prepare reports for management
Track and reconcile expenses with general accounting incurred during the repossession process
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Working knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations (e.g., Fair Debt Collection Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, etc.)
Experience in the collection of delinquent loans
Experience using auditing/accounting principles and methods, preferably in a financial institution
Experience in financial counseling, negotiating, and explaining decisions to members
Experience in financial transaction/processing related responsibilities
Experience working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, and vendors
Ability to describe and discuss mechanical conditions of automobiles
Ability to comprehend, analyze, interpret, communicate and apply government and financial industry regulations, related principles and practices, and company instructions, procedures, and policies

Overview
Collection Technology Solutions (Collection Systems) serves as the primary liaison between our business partners and ISD and/or select vendors providing project support including documenting requirements/features, system testing, coordinating UAT, outage resolution, etc. Our primary business partner is the Collections Division; however, we also provide project support for other non-Collections areas including Credit Bureau Governance, Financial Systems Recon, and Transaction Processing. We provide production support for multiple applications (both on prem and hosted) used by our business partners and work with ISD and/or vendor support personnel to investigate and remediate system issues.
Collection Systems is the system owner for the major applications used by the Collections Dept. Applications include the CACS Enterprise which includes Recovery Accounting, SpeedPay, and the Extensions Application. As the System Owner, analysts manage workflows within the application(s). Additionally, Collection System Analysts serve as product owners for Enterprise level projects affecting Collections.

Evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness of supported systems and applications

Overview

Responsibilities
Develop, plan and deliver solutions to drive the NFCU strategies ensuring processes, systems, operations, quality assessments and service standards are targeted to support superior objectives
Provide strategic analysis and recommendations to assist key decisions made by senior leadership regarding technology, financial market trends, by identifying departments strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats

Overview
To coordinate the repossession process and disposition of property (e.g., cars, boats, motorcycles, airplanes, etc.) that serves as collateral on Navy Federal loans. Serve as point of contact and subject matter expert regarding section functions, systems, policies and/or procedures. Work is performed under moderate supervision.
Responsibilities
Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the repossession process
Remain familiar with payment methods available to members (e.g., direct remittance, recurring deposits, Western Union Quick Collect, Speed Pay, etc.)
Communicate to members, co-makers, and/or joint owner on all aspects of the repossession process
Prepare all documents required to initiate the repossession process
Contact insurance companies for payoffs; send Letters of Guarantee, monitor for payments and send titles to insurance companies
Serve as point of contact for internal departments regarding repossessions
Select repossession agents and negotiate fees for repossession
Document all member related contact in the Repossession Tracker and in other applicable systems throughout the repossession process
Process impound notices by contacting tow companies; negotiate fees, obtain vehicle condition, reason for impoundment and documents needed to recover the collateral
Monitor and ensure updates are provided by repossession agents; assist agents with skip tracing to locate collateral as needed
Recommend accounts to skip companies and/or License Plate Recognition staging if unable to locate
Recommend accounts to be returned to LCR, or Bankruptcy if unable to locate

Assist members with reinstatement or redemption of their vehicle; contact the agent or auction to have the vehicle released to the member
Prepare documents to submit to the Department of Motor Vehicles to process a repossession title or to sell the collateral
Maintain an overall quality assurance audit rating of 90%
Determine floor price and send required documents to auction; release vehicles for sale in Auto IMS
Receive auction bids received thru various communication channels (e.g., email, telephone, fax, Auto IMS, etc.); determine if auction offer can be accepted and that the number of bids aligns with State requirements; determine if counting the bid will be required, or decline the offer and request that the vehicle be run on the next sale date
Review and process sale proceeds with accounting department to ensure funds are applied properly to the member's account
Submit requests to reduce interest rates to "0" on open book loans with a deficiency balance
Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and Navy Federal policies and procedures
Maintain records of repossessions and prepare reports for management
Track and reconcile expenses with general accounting incurred during the repossession process

Qualifications

Overview

Overview

Overview
To provide operational support to the business unit. To support the performance of studies, analyses, and evaluation of processes, products, or services. To contribute to projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Provides operational support that directly affects the business unit functions
Completes and/or monitors internal processes and performs quality control to ensure adherence to regulations, Navy Federal policies, and industry practices
Identifies, research, and documents operational correlations and may administer operational workflow and functions
Detects errors and initiates or arranges for corrective action; follows through with cognizant parties to ensure resolution
Assists management or analysts with developing and recommending enhancements to improve operational processes and procedures
Assists in the development of user requirements; may test new/enhanced systems and assist in training staff
Acts as the business unit point-of-contact for cross-organization matters; resolves/oversees resolution of customer issues
Develops and applies a sound understanding of the business unit's functions and their relationship to those of other business units
Serves as a backup to other staff members during peak business volume
Assists management and/or analysts in compiling, reviewing, and preparing data to be used in the analysis of operations, services, and products
Researches, gathers, and synthesizes data; presents conclusions and recommendations to management
Prepares summaries, analyses, reports, charts, graphs, instructions, memoranda, and manuals/reference materials for benchmarking purposes or for inclusion in required and ad hoc reports
Reviews studies, reports, and surveys and provides summaries to department leadership
Supports projects and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
Participates in the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing programs, campaigns, and special offers
Administers project plans, coordinates the collection of input from functional areas, and assists in the execution of related activities
Research audit findings, prepares response, and forwards to management
Participates in the review of Navy Federal Instructions, policy/procedural documents, and study/survey responses
Maintains knowledge of corporate business plans, marketing efforts, and operational/business requirements
Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
Uses discretion to modify work practices and processes to achieve results and/or improve efficiency
Analyzes facts and general principles to develop alternative courses of action based upon precedent/policy
Develops and presents alternatives and recommendations which have impact and/or complexity
Leads portions of projects or projects that are routine within the business unit or function
Coordinates reporting input from various sources and creates, maintains, and delivers reports, queries, and data to analysts and/or management
Participates in the implementation of changes and may coordinate or deliver training on new processes
Acts as a resource to others regarding business unit's functions and resolves or arranges for resolution of operational issues, inquiries, and complaints
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Demonstrated work experience that provided knowledge and understanding of the processes, procedures, systems, policies, and activities of the business unit
Ability to multitask, work independently, and exercise initiative and judgment
Ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external contacts
Familiarity with training techniques and practices
Proficient using, interpreting, and explaining regulations, instructions, policies, and procedures and presenting findings and conclusions clearly and concisely
Ability to represent the business unit in task groups and planning meetings
Strong research, planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualification(s)
Knowledge of, and experience with, credit union or retail banking operations
Knowledge of Navy Federal Credit Union, its organization, operations, policies, procedures, products, and services
Education above the high school level with course concentration in business or related field
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Overview
To provide members and prospective members the full range of products and services offered by Navy Federal Credit Union including depository accounts such as checking, savings, certificate IRA, revocable trust and estate accounts; Lending products; and credit/debit cards. To perform moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision. Provide assistance/training to lower level team members.

Responsibilities
Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans
Assist members with submitting consumer/mortgage/equity loan, overdraft protection and credit card applications
Counsel current and prospective members about Navy Federal's products and services
Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly
Identify opportunities to cross service products and increase product penetration
Perform platform banking functions
Assist level I team members
Understand and comply with federal and other regulations relating to financial products and services
May assist with Branch Office vault opening, closing and balancing procedures
May serve as a Branch Office and/or ATM vault custodian
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Working knowledge of savings and checking products, accounts and services
May be required to participate and complete specialized training (in Business Services, IRA, MLO, notary, etc.), per business need
Effective active listening skills to accurately respond to inquiries and account requests
Effective organizational, planning and time management skills

Desired Qualifications
Experience in member/customer service preferably in a call center, retail banking or financial institution
Experience in working in a credit union environment
Hours: Available Monday - Saturday, hours based on business needs.
Part-Time hours are typically 20-25+ hours a week. (Please note, during training longer hours will be required)
