Overview

A CICS and MQ Systems Programmer at Navy Federal Credit Union provides 24x7x365 administrative, configuration, troubleshooting, and software deployment support for CICS Transaction Server, WebSphere MQ, and supporting software products. The CICS and MQ systems programmer is responsible for maintaining the high availability production CICS and MQ environments as well as a number of test CICS environments. An MQ and CICS experienced professional who enjoys resolving system problems, and providing technical guidance on all things CICS and MQ will be a great addition to our team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-6 years of work experience in mainframe CICS and / or WebSphere MQ systems programming.

Additional requirements we are seeking in an Engineer/Systems Programmer:

  • A demonstrated ability to carefully plan, document, and deploy software updates to multiple environments.

  • WebSphere MQ queue sharing group configuration and tuning experience.

  • Recent experience with CICS configuration, tuning, and production support. Experience in a highly available CICS environment is a big plus.

  • Ability to interact with management and to actively participate as a member of a team.

  • Experience with VSAM (including Record Level Sharing), DB2 in CICS, Unix System Services or Linux, monitoring tools, CICS and MQ automation tools, web interfaces, and dump diagnosis / debugging tools is helpful.

  • Experience programming in assembler, COBOL, Python, and / or Java is helpful.

  • Experience working with Docker, GitHub, ServiceNow, and Ansible can help you help us serve our members.

To provide technical direction and engineering support for projects and infrastructure. As a Digital Engineering Anchor (Performance Testing Lead), you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end load & performance testing activities across multiple initiatives in the Digital realm. Qualifications

  • Experience in working with cloud-based environments and performance testing in both on- premises and cloud settings.

  • Extensive experience in performance testing, with a solid background in software development and quality assurance.

  • Extensive knowledge in monitoring performance of applications using observability platforms.

  • Extensive knowledge of DevOps, automated testing, and script development with NeoLoad and/or LoadRunner to performance test non-functional behaviors of applications.

  • Extensive knowledge of the software testing lifecycle.

  • In-depth knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Neoload), scripting languages, and mocking frameworks.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and how performance testing integrates with them. Proficient working in Azure DevOps.

Overview

To provide administrative support to the Administrative Services Divisions by setting up and operating the high-speed automatic envelope sorter, inserting equipment and/or associated computerized control system and other postal equipment. Act as mentor, coach and trainer to new Mail Sorter/Insert Equipment Operators. Provide guidance on all of the different incoming work/jobs that are received daily 7 days a week. Organize incoming insert work and prioritize high level jobs that need immediate attention and have time sensitive material to be in compliance with job schedules. Act as Shift Supervisor during his/her absence. Perform basic/routine tasks with limited latitude and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Operate both sorting and inserting equipment

  • Ensure the proper maintenance of automated equipment

  • Serve as mentor/trainer and provide guidance and assistance to team members

  • Monitor recurring workflow or operational issues and escalate to management

  • Determine proper equipment configuration and operating procedures according to envelope size, number of inserts, etc.

Overview

To coordinate the repossession process and disposition of property (e.g., cars, boats, motorcycles, airplanes, etc.) that serves as collateral on Navy Federal loans. Serve as point of contact and subject matter expert regarding section functions, systems, policies and/or procedures. Work is performed under moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the repossession process

  • Remain familiar with payment methods available to members (e.g., direct remittance, recurring deposits, Western Union Quick Collect, Speed Pay, etc.)

  • Document all member related contact in the Repossession Tracker and in other applicable systems throughout the repossession process

  • Process impound notices by contacting tow companies; negotiate fees, obtain vehicle condition, reason for impoundment and documents needed to recover the collateral

  • Monitor and ensure updates are provided by repossession agents; assist agents with skip tracing to locate collateral as needed

  • Recommend accounts to skip companies and/or License Plate Recognition staging if unable to locate

  • Recommend accounts to be returned to LCR, or Bankruptcy if unable to locate

  • Submit requests for required letters for redemption/reinstatement; ensure letters are accurate and mail them in accordance with State regulations to members

  • Assist members with reinstatement or redemption of their vehicle; contact the agent or auction to have the vehicle released to the member

  • Prepare documents to submit to the Department of Motor Vehicles to process a repossession title or to sell the collateral

  • Maintain an overall quality assurance audit rating of 90%

  • Determine floor price and send required documents to auction; release vehicles for sale in Auto IMS

  • Receive auction bids received thru various communication channels (e.g., email, telephone, fax, Auto IMS, etc.); determine if auction offer can be accepted and that the number of bids aligns with State requirements; determine if counting the bid will be required, or decline the offer and request that the vehicle be run on the next sale date

  • Review and process sale proceeds with accounting department to ensure funds are applied properly to the member's account

  • Submit requests to reduce interest rates to "0" on open book loans with a deficiency balance

  • Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and Navy Federal policies and procedures

  • Maintain records of repossessions and prepare reports for management

  • Track and reconcile expenses with general accounting incurred during the repossession process

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations (e.g., Fair Debt Collection Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, etc.)

  • Experience in the collection of delinquent loans

  • Experience using auditing/accounting principles and methods, preferably in a financial institution

Responsibilities

  • Analyze mortgage loan information on loan documents such as income, assets, and credit criteria to confirm loan eligibility based on Navy Federal guidelines as well as adherence to investor requirement with or without independent scoring systems

  • Analyze exceptions and rejections; recommend alternative mortgage products that could bring the loan within guidelines

  • Analyze self-employed borrower income documentation

  • Approve mortgage loans and authorize loan disbursements based on a complete analysis of submitted documentation and applicable rules and regulations
