    Qualifications :

This is an exciting opportunity to join the L3Harris Accounting team as a Senior Associate, Accounting team member in Norfolk, VA. The individual selected for this role will be responsible for the project setup, billing and cash collection for all Government and Other Contractor programs on a bi-weekly to monthly basis, among other deliverables and responsibilities. The role is critical to project execution and cash collection for the business.

Essential Functions:

  • Employee has frequent contact with Customers, Program Managers, Program Finance and Division Contracts.

  • Employee works under moderate supervision. Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects or assignments. Sets objectives for own job area to meet the goals of projects and assignments.

  • May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support level employees.

  • Travel will be 10-20% primarily during month-end or quarter-end close periods

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed during heavy transactional periods and/or during the month-end close.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree in accounting or finance or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

  • Knowledge of CostPoint

Our site near Culpeper, VA, in beautiful, rural Orange County (1.5 hours from Washington, DC) is growing! This site is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs.

This individual performs assignments requiring an application of advanced principles, theories and concepts in the propulsion field with a working knowledge of other related disciplines (thermal, structural, ballistics). Responsible for leading (technical), organizing (cost and schedule), and implementing tasks directed by a Technical Manager (Department Manager, Technical Fellow, or equivalent) and providing chemical guidance. Specifying chemical testing, evaluation of data, and preparing and presenting reports of results are typical of the job function.

Essential Functions:
