Hiring for all shifts - Weekend Day Shift

In this role, individuals may be responsible for conducting tests on a variety of RF or digital printed circuit boards, subassemblies, or end products. Must be capable of using a variety of test equipment, logging information in technical databases and have a basic understanding of engineering schematics. Basic troubleshooting skills are required. This should include troubleshooting product, subassembly, and circuit board failures to component level. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a cross-functional team.

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Currently enrolled in a electrical technican degree program

  • Basic knowledge of Electrical Engineering theory

  • Associates degree (technical discipline)

  • Electronics / RF Troubleshooting Experience

  • Experience with Harris RFCD products and assembly processes

  • Able to perform LabVIEW driven automated tests

  • Familiar with basic test equipment, i.e. Signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers

  • Able to read and understand schematic diagrams

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $33,700 - $57,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. This position directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. This PM will drive program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs. Essential Functions:

We are seeking an Assoc Manager, Manufacturing Engineer to join the team at our Culpeper, VA site.

Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, this position will focus on Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Defense Production Act (DPA) Title III efforts to accelerate site development and, program optimization and transition to support business growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The successful individual will be responsible for technical and administrative leadership of the OSD/DPA Title III program and team within the larger Manufacturing Engineering/Operations group. Scope includes both inert and energetic operations.

45% - Provides OSD Title III program direction, control, and coordination. Responsible for management and contract performance of the program and all associated elements. Develops and maintains an understanding of program scope. Manages the program schedules and budgets in accordance with applicable contractual and Aerojet Rocketdyne policies. Provides guidance and assistance to project team in meeting established schedules and budgets, and resolution of problems.

30% - Responsible for communicating, engaging, and effectively utilizing functional organizations to integrate production, quality assurance, test, production support, procurement, contractual and financial data. Assures, through the assigned program team, that contract performance responsibility is properly delegated to performing organizations and suppliers.

25% - Acts as primary interface for communications with internal and external customers, including senior leadership and US Government entities. Establishes and maintains program and operations metrics. Prepares reports, presentations, and documentation to support OSD/DPA initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and at least six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires the ability to manage direct reports and control overall organizational resources. Additionally, the successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong leadership, problem solving and written/verbal communication skills

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Skill to analyze, evaluate and develop solutions to a variety of situations (technical, organizational, etc.).

Essential Functions:

  • Uses independent judgement to create and release engineering drawings with 3D CAD tools, specifically PTC Creo Parametric.

  • Provide CAD support (PTC Creo) to engineers and designers.

  • Generate new drawings and documentation, as well as modify existing drawings and documentation.

  • Manage and control mechanical digital data files and drawings.

  • Applies use of applicable government and industry standards including: Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5) and Engineering Drawing Practices (ASME Y14.100).

  • Prepare and incorporate engineering change orders.

  • Input data and manage hardware structures in a Product Data Management tool (Windchill / Agile).

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and general understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques.

  • Pro Cable experience desired.
