Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: - Receives provider applications and contacts providers for any additional supporting documentation or clarification. - Builds file documentation and prepares file for credentialing committee review. - Applies general guidelines in determining whether provider meets criteria and documents deficiencies. - Prepares correspondence to providers regarding status. Assists in researching pended and probated applications and resolving discrepancies. - Refers non-approved providers or questionable situations to senior representative. - May assist in provider education and preparation of provider training materials.

The Credential Specialist builds provider credentials file and makes file determinations regarding required credentialing criteria based on general guidelines, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires high school diploma or GED. - A minimum of 1 year of credentialing or related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- CAQH experience preferred. - 1-3 years of credentialing experience.

Provides expert advice, analytic and consultative support to Medical Directors and management on cost of care issues.
Works on large scale initiatives with high dollar cost savings opportunities.
Partners with provider contractors to develop contracting strategy and supports all aspects of the contract negotiation process.

Supports a full range of contract arrangements and pricing mechanisms.
Works on complex enterprise-wide initiatives and acts as project lead.
Uses analytic tools to track both health risks and compliance, as well as supporting the contract negotiation process.
Types of analyses include performing sophisticated retrospective data analytics.
Building new and modifying existing complex models to create predictive impact decision making tools.
Performing healthcare cost analysis to identify strategies to control costs.
Projecting cost increases in medical services by using analytic techniques for PMPM trending via multiple variable analysis.
Preparing pre-negotiation analysis to support development of defensible pricing strategies
Performing modeling to compare various contract scenarios based on member utilization patterns and 'what if' logic.
Measuring and evaluating the cost impact of various negotiation.
Researching the financial profitability/stability and competitive environment of providers to determine impact of proposed rates and projects different cost of savings targets based upon various analytics.
Identifies cost of care savings opportunities by analyzing practice patterns in relation to office visits, referral practices, and specialty care procedures.
Recommends policy changes and claim's system changes to pursue cost savings.
Reviews results post-implementation to ensure projected cost savings are realized and recommends modifications as applicable.
Recommends standardized practices to optimize cost of care.
Educates provider contractors on contracting analytics from a financial impact perspective.
May recommend alternative contract language and may go on-site to provider premises during contract negotiations.
Participates on project team involved with enterprise wide initiatives.
Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff.

In this role, you will use your expertise and deep knowledge of the payment integrity process, ensuring accurate and timely management of all stages of claims processing. Your work will involve close partnership with product and data science teams, advising and supporting them to ensure that clinical guidelines, member outcomes, bias, and safety are all considered as the team builds artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms into their core product. You will also ensure that impacts on provider workflows and relationships are considered in the product. The LTSS Service Coordinator-RN Clinician is responsible for overall management of member's case within the scope of licensure; provides supervision and direction to non-RN clinicians participating in the member's case in accordance with applicable state law and contract; develops, monitors, evaluates, and revises the member's care plan to meet the member's needs, with the goal of optimizing member health care across the care continuum.
Responsible for performing telephonic clinical assessments for the identification, evaluation, coordination and management of member's needs, including physical health, behavioral health, social services and long term services and supports.
Identifies members for high risk complications and coordinates care in conjunction with the member and the health care team.
Manages members with chronic illnesses, co-morbidities, and/or disabilities, to insure cost effective and efficient utilization of health benefits.
Obtains a thorough and accurate member history to develop an individual care plan.
Establishes short and long term goals in collaboration with the member, caregivers, family, natural supports, physicians; identifies members that would benefit from an alternative level of care or other waiver programs.
The RN has overall responsibility to develop the care plan for services for the member and ensures the member's access to those services.
May assist with the implementation of member care plans by facilitating authorizations/referrals for utilization of services, as appropriate, within benefits structure or through extra-contractual arrangements, as permissible.
Interfaces with Medical Directors, Physician Advisors and/or Inter-Disciplinary Teams on the development of care management treatment plans.
May also assist in problem solving with providers, claims or service issues.
Directs and/or supervises the work of any LPN/LVN, LSW, LCSW, LMSW, and other licensed professionals other than an RN, in coordinating services for the member by, for example, assigning appropriate tasks to the non-RN clinicians, verifying and interpreting member information obtained by these individuals, conducting additional assessments, as necessary, to develop, monitor, evaluate, and revise the member's care plan to meet the member's needs, and reviewing and providing input on the non-RN clinicians' performance on a regular basis.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Requires an RN; 3-4 years of experience in working with individuals with chronic illnesses, co-morbidities, and/or disabilities in a Service Coordinator, Case Management, or similar role; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Current, unrestricted RN license in applicable state(s) required. Masters in Health/Nursing preferred.
May require state-specified certification based on state law and/or contract.
Travel Required
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous home health experience preferred.
Previous experience working from home preferred.
Previous experience working at MLTC/Care Management/Managed-care/Home Care/LHCSA
Master's Degree in Nursing.
