Located about 60 miles southwest of Toledo in Defiance, Ohio, our facility was constructed in 2002 and designed to promote a healing environment. It also has state-of-the-art technology and private rooms that feel like a home away from home.

Position Summary:
The Patient Care Tech under direction of a registered nurse, performs various patient care activities necessary in caring for a patient or a group of patients and performs clerical/receptionist services as required. The PCT will assist nursing personnel in all areas while complying with established policies, procedures, and standards of practice in conjunction with all members of the healthcare team. Understands level of independent practice and performs duties with appropriate supervision. Has a service oriented attitude toward patients, physicians, families, and coworkers.

POSITION SUMMARY
Functioning as a team member within a patient centric care delivery model for high quality and service within the practice setting. Able to proficiently and effectively navigate through multiple information technology platforms and applications. Renders direct patient care services under supervision demonstrating ProMedica's values to the patient.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reports for scheduled shifts on time and in a professional manner with regard to behavior, telephone courtesy, dress, identification, and communication with patients' colleagues, and outside agencies.
Works closely with the provider and leadership to continually improve the patient experience though daily patient care, clerical support, ongoing projects and assumes additional duties as needed in a self-directed manner.
Prepares the patient for the visit by taking vital signs, documenting and order entry within the EPIC system, arranging and coordinating support and ancillary services for patient care, preparing patient rooms for visits, stocking exam rooms, preparing schedules, and providing general support to the providers and patients. Performs specific specialized tests (i.e. pulmonary function tests, phlebotomy procedures) as needed.
Provides for a safe patient experience through adherence to clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, manufacturer standards and reports any potential equipment malfunctions or safety violations.
May support a variety of clerical office functions including calls, documentation, scanning, etc.
Within scope of Medical Assistant, demonstrates clinical knowledge and focuses on customer service to answer and triage patient telephone calls. Records complete and accurate messages and obtains necessary instructions from providers and nurses, etc. when appropriate.
Supports internal and external customers, to maintain a superior customer experience across the continuum of care through teamwork. Communicates professionally with patients, providers, and co-workers at all times. Actively participates and is engaged in staff meetings.
Collaborates with leadership and other staff to recommend changes to improve the safety, quality, and efficiency of patient care.
Performs other duties as assigned that support ProMedica's core values.
Education: Must be a high school graduate or its equivalent.
Skills:

Certification: BLS (CPR), must present a current BLS course card from the AHA at time of employment or obtain certification within 90 days of hire

Education: Completion of a recognized MA program at an accredited college or university.
Years of Experience: 1+ years experience in direct patient care preferred.

The Paramedic/PTN functions on an ambulance performing prehospital emergency responses and interfacility transports normally as the senior member of a two person care team. When paired with a EMT-B, the Paramedic would be responsible to direct the care of the patient and delegate as appropriate for the scope of practice. The two person care team is responsible to assess and apply appropriate medical treatment protocols to care for the patient. The Paramedic directly reports to the Operations Manger which handles non-clinical job performance items. The Paramedic provides patient care under the authority of the Medical Director and reports to the Clinical Manager for clinical care issues.
Operates and maintains PTN vehicles in a safe and ready condition. Provides safe, quality care to ill or injured patients in prehospital or intrahospital setting. Will be primarily responsible in field situations if holding senior medic status. When performing SCT, will act under the direction of the Transport Nurse during care and transport of interhospital patients. Provides ongoing monitoring and management as directed of the critically ill or injured during transport
Must interact well with people and be flexible in assuming a variety of tasks in a hospital and pre-hospital setting. Must obtain in (6) months of hire and maintain: BCLS, ACLS, ITLS, PEPP, NRP Ability to work independently and make decisions away from the controlled hospital environment. Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent public relations skills. Must be able to maintain composure and utilize tact in stressful situations. Must be able to tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, temperature changes, and exposure to bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids. Must be able to tolerate exposure to odors such as diesel, jet fuel, and truck/aircraft engine exhaust. Must be able to tolerate working in environment of extreme heat, cold or weather changes. POSITION SUMMARY Operates and maintains PTN vehicles in a safe and ready condition. Provides safe, quality care to clients during non-emergency transports.
Accountabilities:
Supports and adheres to the State of Ohio, Michigan, ProMedica Health System and ProMedica Transportation Network policies and procedures. Maintain PTN vehicles in a constant state of readiness and cleanliness. Document checks of PTN vehicles and equipment every shift. Practices within their scope of practice as defined by the appropriate State certification and shall be accountable for their actions. Provide a safe, therapeutic and efficient patient care environment through collaboration with other disciplines. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Must be a certified EMT-B in the state of Ohio. Michigan licensure must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Must be CPR certified. Must maintain a good driving record as required by PTN and PHS. POSITION SUMMARY
This position plays a critical role in advancing ProMedica's mission by securing and stewarding philanthropic support for the Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital and ProMedica Monroe Community Hospital Foundations. The executive director role will be a key facilitator at the board and hospital leadership level and will serve as a liaison to multiple volunteer committees and at external community events. Alongside other team members, the executive director will provide strategy and implementation of all facets of philanthropy ranging from annual fund, events to capital initiatives.
ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for providing leadership support for philanthropy-related activity to the executive leadership and governance boards and committees at each assigned business unit. Maintains a good working relationship with business unit senior leadership. Works closely with hospital and department leaders for donor stewardship engagement and updates. Actively manages assigned donor and prospect accounts - participating in new donor identification/discovery, existing donor cultivation, gift solicitation, and stewardship following gifts. In this role, maintains current and timely donor notes in the philanthropy software database, as well as prepares and executes donor cultivation plans leading to solicitation. Actively participates as philanthropy liaison to committees planning special event fundraisers and any capital campaigns of assigned business units. In this role, coordinates with appropriate colleagues within the philanthropy division. Cultivates personal relationships with governance volunteers on the business unit and foundation boards. The Paramedic/PTN functions on an ambulance performing prehospital emergency responses and interfacility transports normally as the senior member of a two person care team. POSITION SUMMARY The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be competent to care for patients of all ages to include infants, children, adolescents, adult and geriatric population dependent on the area assigned. This individual performs the duties and responsibilities outlined below as assigned, under minimal supervision from the Respiratory Care Department leadership team and the Medical Directors of Respiratory Care. The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs these assigned duties and responsibilities according to regulatory standards, clinical practice guidelines, policies and procedures approved by the Medical Directors and Administration. This individual will frequently make independent decisions regarding modification of therapy in accordance with clinical practice guidelines, policies and procedures.
Additional Information: This position offers a repeating set schedule per pay period that allows for a better work-life balance as well as only two holidays per year on every 3rd year rotation currently.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Achieves and maintains a level of competency to perform prescribed therapeutic and diagnostic procedures within their scope of practice, as required per business unit, in accordance to departmental competency standards, which include general care, critical care, emergency care and diagnostic procedures, including, but not limited to, the following: - General Care: patient identification and assessment, medical gas delivery, medication administration via nebulizers and MDI/DPI, bronchopulmonary hygiene and hyperinflation therapy - Critical Care: initiation, management, and weaning of invasive and non-invasive ventilation; airway management and suction, including tracheostomy, endotracheal and pharyngeal; cuff and ETCO2 monitoring, intubation and extubation; set-up, calibration, insertion (arterial lines) and maintenance of indwelling lines and catheters, and high risk newborn deliveries - Emergency Care: responds to rapid responses and emergency codes; performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), airway management, and actively participates in patient stabilization, internal and external transports - Diagnostic Care: blood sampling and analysis, specimen collection, continuous and/or noninvasive monitoring, bedside pulmonary function screens, spontaneous breathing parameters and electrocardiograms (EKG) Note: critical tests and values will be reported in a timely manner per Hospital Policy.

Understands and applies Respiratory Care Clinical Practice Guidelines, to provide safe, highly efficient and cost effective care, using evidence based best practice.
Provides educational needs of patients on disease specific process, tobacco cessation and respiratory care services provided, including instruction for home care equipment and medications.
Assist with clinical instruction of respiratory care, nursing, medical students and residents, as needed. Actively participates in the orientation of new staff and contributes to the growth of others.
Understands and acts in accordance with all Respiratory Care and Hospital Policies and Procedures for those areas assigned and is able to independently function in those areas.
Completes accurate patient documentation, including billing and productivity standards. Participates in creating a plan of care, evaluate achievement of identified goals, record results and communicate pertinent information to appropriate members of the health care team

Education: A graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program and maintain credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). The Athletic Trainer's primary job responsibility is to perform various sports related functions as outlined in the primary duties within the school setting and in collaboration with the sports medicine department of PPG. The Athletic Trainer may also provide School Based Outreach athletic training services. This individual provides superior customer service with the goal of exceeding the customer's expectations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provides the athletes, coaches, and parents with education on the prevention and recognition of athletic injuries. Participates in sports medicine clinic and collaborates with the physician for ongoing medical care. Safeguards the health and well-being of students in athletic activities. Minimizes conditions that would otherwise limit athletic participation. Prevents injuries which have appreciably adverse effects on successful programs. Accepts responsibility for the recognition of athletic injuries and refers patient to appropriate site for ongoing care. Advises family members, coaches, and collaborating phsyicians on matters pertaining to the status of the injured athlete. Maintains records of all injuries seen at the high school. Accepts responsibility for patient's personal care and collaborates with supervising physician throughout the treatment process. Documents all student contacts to contribute to the continuity of care and management of sports injuries and training. Documents treatment programs and patient progress in medical record. Follows established procedures and observes safety precautions. Carries out positioning and reconditioning exercises. Trains patients in exercises, ambulation, use of equipment and daily activities. Cares for braces, prostheses, bandages and other active assistive devices as needed. Collaborates and maintains a student trainer program. Provides assistance with game and practice coverage. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or other related fields. Graduated from an accredited Athletic Trainers Program. Maintains current licensure with appropriate state Athletic Trainers Board. Maintains current membership with professional associations.
Skills: Must keep abreast of current trends affecting athletic training through professional journals, attending seminars/workshops pertinent to area of practice and complete the required amount of continuing education units for re-licensure.
Must be skilled in all athletic training/physical therapy related modalities, equipment, and documentation procedures. Must be familiar with Hospital policy, function and procedure relative to physical therapy. Ability to pass competencies of the position according to the job description, evaluation and departmental policies.
Years of Experience: 1-2 years experience.

Graduate of an accredited nursing school. BSN preferred Current State license as a Registered Nurse 1 year of experience as an RN Current CPR / BLS Certification Specialty certifications as required for the department
**RNs for this unit will be required to obtain ACLS Certification

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to the Surgery Supervisor/Manager and does not have any direct reports.
POSITION SUMMARY
Functions as a member of the surgical team performing assigned duties of the technologist in the scrub role. Applies knowledge of concepts necessary for maintain integrity of the sterile field. Serves the following populations: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Demonstrates proficiency in proper scrub technique and the handling of instruments, supplies and equipment for the assigned cases following department policies and procedures and job description. Demonstrates age related competency in the scrub role for the following age populations: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Utilizes preference lists, in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, departmental policies and procedures and the patient's age-related needs in preparing for and carrying out case responsibilities. Shares responsibilities with the clinical nurse for keeping preference cards current.
3.Maintains integrity of the sterile field by utilizing aseptic techniques and observation of the surgical team. Promptly addresses any observed breaks in sterile technique.
Collaborates with the circulating nurse to effect accurate sponge, instrument, and sharp counts as per departmental guideline.
Checks daily schedule to maintain proper supply of instruments, set-ups, and supplies specific to patient's age and physician preferences. Assists other personnel with procedures.
Participates in the process of orientation of new employees and students to the scrub role. Acts as a role model and resource person for staff and students.
Maintains certification according to professional requirements and presents proof of certification to the Service Coordinator.
Serves as a liaison between co-workers and other departments demonstrating good guest relations with physicians, patients, and other staff. Functions as a cooperative and supportive member of the surgery department staff.
Maintains understanding of departmental goals and objectives and works with co-workers and management to obtain goals and objectives.
Performs other duties as directed. Education: Must be high school graduate or equivalent. Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or a Licensed Practical Nurse educational program.

License: Current, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure from the state of employment if hiring into the LPN capacity
