SAIC is looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer with experience in enterprise networks to provide Tier IV level of support. This position is a Hybrid/ Remote role in San Diego, CA. Must be able to go to customer site at NAVWAR Old Town Campus as required.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide Tier IV (fault tolerant site infrastructure) technical support to both Fleet and NIWC Enterprise customers in support of Navy networks and applications.

  • Provide engineering services to support the Request for Change (RFC) process (in support of speed to capability for Navy networks).

  • Provide on-site ashore engineering subject matter expertise in support of OCONUS and at CONUS networks.

  • Assist with installing and integrating network systems to replace legacy networks in support of OCONUS Theater Network Operations and Security Centers (TNOSCs).

  • Provide SME services to assist with preparation and analysis of integration designs, implementation concepts and systems to include reviewing and assisting in the reduction of program risk per applicable risk management plans.

  • Assist enterprise program offices and Fleet customers with the employment of technical solutions.

  • Be available travel to OCONUS sites to backfill permanently deployed personnel on a temporary basis to provide technical support on equipment/systems to perform troubleshooting, correct system casualties reported via Navy Casualty Report (CASREP), provide Tier IV assistance, checkout, repair, and test worldwide.

  • Support Pilot testing and deployment of software upgrades and updates for workstations, servers, and network equipment.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelors and Five (5) years or more related experience; Masters and Three (3) years or more related experience; PhD and Zero (0) years or more related experience.

  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance to start.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • CompTIA Security + certification.

  • Experience with SCCM/MECM.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Windows OS, Software applications Operating Systems and network experience.

  • VMWare.

  • Dell servers.

  • LAN/WAN topologies.

  • Cisco routers and switches.

  • Active Directory.

Job Duties Include:

  • Monitor RF and signal processing design and development and provide independent assessments, recommend system improvements and efficiencies.

  • Review and assess design and supporting analysis.

  • Perform systems engineering for surface based RF systems. Be able to evaluate design solutions and assess architecture analysis.

  • Perform technical support and independent risk assessment and evaluation of program management execution, technical review execution (DoD 5000.02 framework), and systems engineering.

  • Assess viability from a programmatic and technical execution perspective.

  • Translate technical requirements into work packages, evaluating technical proposals, manage modeling and simulation activities, and schedule management to deliver an end product.

  • Provide technical and acquisition support to Government and contractor milestone reviews to assess progress, issues, and meeting mission requirements traceability.

  • Develop and review technical requirements, evaluating technical proposals, review and assess software engineering and algorithm development, and CONOPS development.

  • Provide subject matter expertise to the government in the oversight of RF system development, testing, integration, sustainment and updates.

  • Assess electromagnetic simulation models of hardware (antennas, filters, PCB layout) to design and evaluate performance

  • Review and assess electrical schematics and mechanical drawings for applications as they relate to reliability, maintainability and feasibility.

  • Design and troubleshoot RF (such as UHF, S-Band, X, Ka, or Ku bands) test setups and associated support equipment to support execution of testing strategies

  • Participate in development of new RF designs and drive optimization for manufacturability and cost

  • Provide expertise for technologies, such as: software defined radios, digital signal processing, radio frequency (RF) hardware design, antenna design, waveform design, and wireless communications.

  • Participate in technical reviews, recommending and implementing appropriate corrective action to resolve technical and non-technical issues, define external dependencies and system support requirements, and perform technical research, innovation, leading edge planning and assisting with the implementation of new tools and methods.

  • Conduct independent investigations of system designs, attend program meetings and provide briefings, meting reports, lessons learned and after action reports, identify and evaluate any potential weakness, and develop action plans to resolve current or future gaps in capabilities.

Qualifications

Required Skills, education and experience:

Ability to work with and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders, government technical representatives, and other supporting contractors; excellent written and oral communications; ability to work independently or in a team collaborative environment; ability to brief senior government personnel.

SAIC is seeking a Senior Linux Engineer to support our TACNET program onsite in San Diego, CA Or Norfolk, VA . This role requires up to 25% travel.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide system life cycle systems engineering support for our NAVWAR and NIWC customers.

  • Focused primarily on ACS but will include software and hardware efforts required to sustain currently fielded CANES systems.

  • Serve as Tier 3 technical advisors for ACS development, sustainment, and escalation support.

  • Support will encompass a range of capabilities, from system installations, configuration management enforcement, system sustainment and upgrades, distance support, and emergent CASREP support as needed for the warfighters.

  • This includes analysis and modifications to replace commercial off the shelf (COTS) components that are end of life (EOL), modifications to support new interfaces to other systems, and modifications to existing systems driven by customer requirements.

  • Provide troubleshooting assistance, either remotely or on site.

  • Analyze failure data, trouble reports, and other U.S. Navy Fleet communications to identify current system deficiencies.

  • Propose solutions, conduct peer reviews, and work with production engineers to implement solutions.

  • Create and update engineering documentation and manage solutions through a formal configuration management process.

  • Attend and participate in technical meetings, report on technical progress, prepare briefs, and provide presentations.

  • Participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT), Technical Working Group (TWG) and engineering/design review/meetings.

The RPO operates a combination of a simulated radar display and voice communication system to simulate the actions and communication of pilots and remote ATC facilities during medium and high-fidelity training exercises. RPOs receive voice commands from students, input proper entries into the automated system to simulate pilot actions, translate displayed information into appropriate ATC terminology, and respond to the student via the VCS utilizing proper phraseology.

The candidate will be required to complete the following certifications: Classroom (pass test on airspace and procedures) and Lab (perform as a Remote Pilot Operator on all positions).

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for ensuring that air traffic control specialists provide the flying public with a high level of safety and professionalism. A well-trained Air Traffic Control (ATC) workforce plays an essential role in fulfilling this responsibility. The FAA employs more than 14,000 air traffic controllers. They work in air traffic facilities of varying sizes, safely separating more than 50,000 aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS) each day.

This is an opening for a Firewall Operations Administrator to support a Department of State (DoS) Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT). This program provides transparent, interconnected systems and security supporting the DoS in successfully carrying out its U.S. foreign policy mission. DT provides enterprise architecture design, engineering, operations and maintenance support services for desktops, servers, networks, firewalls, and enterprise applications across the Department. Program is named "Vanguard" and is an IT consolidation consisting of the Department's servers, mainframes, network devices, network perimeter, anti-virus engineering, public key infrastructure (PKI)/biometrics/encryption, monitoring tools, telephony, mobile computing platform, virtual environment, and enclave design/security engineering.

This is a firewall admin position within the Vanguard 2.2.1 program, providing general Tier II monitoring, configuration, and support to multiple firewall and perimeter security systems. The position directly supports DoS on-site to provide perimeter security protection to over 80,000 customers globally.

Shift Information:

  • This role is hybrid and currently requires 3 days onsite weekly. Subject to change based on customer requirements.

  • Sunday-Thursday/ 11pm-7:30am.

  • 90 days of onsite training is required in Beltsville, MD or Washington, DC. Training may be during daytime hours.

Description of Duties:

Provides Tier 2 support in the monitoring, management, and troubleshooting of perimeter devices to include firewalls, proxies, switches, and mail transport agents.

  • Monitor Service Now application for Firewall Operations incident and service requests.

We are looking for a Full-time, Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) candidate to join the SAIC Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at the Seattle ARTCC (ZSE) in Auburn, WA , supporting air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Job Description:

The RPO plays the role of the pilot and other controllers in the Air Traffic Controller training simulator. The RPO operates a combination of a simulated radar display and voice communication system to simulate the actions and communication of pilots and remote ATC facilities during medium and high-fidelity training exercises. RPOs receive voice commands from students, input proper entries into the automated system to simulate pilot actions, translate displayed information into appropriate ATC terminology, and respond to the student via the VCS utilizing proper phraseology.

The candidate will be required to complete the following certifications: Classroom (pass test on airspace and procedures) and Lab (perform as a Remote Pilot Operator on all positions).

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for ensuring that air traffic control specialists provide the flying public with a high level of safety and professionalism. A well-trained Air Traffic Control (ATC) workforce plays an essential role in fulfilling this responsibility. The FAA employs more than 14,000 air traffic controllers. They work in air traffic facilities of varying sizes, safely separating more than 50,000 aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS) each day.

To provide such air traffic services, the FAA trains new air traffic control specialists and provides recurrent training to current air traffic control specialists. The FAA utilizes Contractor-provided instructional services at FAA ATC facilities throughout the U.S. and its Territories to ensure these training needs are met. The scope of the contractor-provided services includes all training and training program support to successfully train and prepare students to become fully certified air traffic controllers.   • Work closely with the IC customer supporting all phases of the acquisition strategy and process to include Requests for Proposal, Statements of Work, Requirements, Contract Data Requirements List and other required solicitation/contract documents

  • Support acquisition source selection activities as an advisor

  • Assist the USG customer with the oversight of technology development contracts and develop status briefings for government and industry

  • Interact with organizations to include DoD, NASA, National Labs and Universities to coordinate activities for maximum effect

  • Provide identification, assessment and resolution of risks during the acquisition phase and during program execution

  • Work with the IC customer to advance resiliency activities/initiatives in RF technology

  • Identify and advise government on relevant current and emerging technologies, as well as tasks affecting the management of the R&D portfolio

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related discipline with 14+ years experience.

  • Experience working in RF technology with Program/Project management experience

  • Knowledge of RF hardware systems and/or device technologies and the RF industry

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and energetic environment

  • Effective interpersonal skills and strong briefing and writing skills

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
