HVAC TECHNICIAN - SPLIT SHIFT
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, repair, adjust, maintain and troubleshoot the following equipment:
Chillers and associated pumps/valves
Refrigerant controls and metering
Humidifiers
All types of compressors
Heat pumps to 15-ton
Split systems to 25-ton
Packaged units to 100-ton
Ductless split systems
Electric motors and associated controls (3-phase and 1-phase) such as contactors, starters, and relays
Various types of water pumps
Intake and exhaust fans
Heating systems (furnaces, boilers, and strip heat)
Economizers
Braze and solder using industry best practices
Use email and SpaceX's internal ticketing system to respond to repairs and requests in the day-to-day business operations of the company
Show a high regard for personal safety and safety of others and driving a culture of safety excellence
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
5+ years of experience in the operation and maintenance of modern HVAC/R equipment and systems
Must be EPA 608 Universal certified
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience with commercial building codes and knowledge of 2014 California Title 24 Building Code
Thorough knowledge of materials, equipment, methods and tools of the HVAC/R trade
Ability to read, interpret and understand technical language in specifications, schematics, and blueprints
Understanding of the basic refrigeration cycle and electronic/electrical theory
Strong work ethic and a hands-on -can-do- problem solving attitude
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Previous experience as a manager, supervisor, or leader
Ability to read technical instructions related to the trade in order to comprehend written work instructions, equipment operating instructions, and/or other documents related to the job functions
Able to work in a manufacturing environment safely and follow safety practices and regulations

Able to work all shifts, overtime and/or weekends as needed. Estimated shift times: 11 AM - 8 PM

MATERIAL PLANNER (STARLINK)
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining a material movement system for the Starlink program with the ultimate goal of creating a production assembly model. This individual will serve as a liaison between engineering, fabrication, supply chain and material handling organizations to ensure that components and assemblies flow smoothly through the production and assembly process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with supply chain to maintain production schedules through assessing production demand and driving to mitigate material shortages
Work with inventory and material handling to execute inventory requests and procure parts for production
Iterate on instruction steps and material kitting strategy to drive towards optimum assembly order and reduce the probability of technician error
Interface with production supervisors to schedule builds and make adjustments based on material and resource availability
Maintain floor stock and work to adjust supply to reflect production needs
Support operation sequencing and implementation of part demand to streamline assembly and improve production timeline
Interface with engineers and technicians on the release of work orders for build and ensure that part demand is accurate and reflected accurately in inventory
Assist engineering and fabrication teams in incorporating redlines/edits to existing work instructions
Work with production customers for priority and schedule requirements
Communicate part status and estimated completion dates to leadership upon request
Actively support productivity improvement efforts and work to streamline processes
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree in STEM discipline, OR 2+ years of experience working in a construction/manufacturing setting
1+ years of professional experience with manufacturing processes, including mechanical and/or electrical assemblies
1+ years of professional experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
Experience in manufacturing planning or technical writing
Experience with 2D and 3D graphics and both raster-and-vector based image-editing software
Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changes in project direction

Fabricate and assemble high quality, high reliability wire harness and electro-mechanical assemblies.
Self-monitor work progress against area benchmarks and achieve on time delivery of all work.
Read, interpret and work from drawings as well as from controlled documentation and processes.

SR. COST ACCOUNTANT
We're looking for a Sr. Cost Accountant to join our cost accounting team. This position will be involved with many aspects of accounting and finance and will be a key contributor in confirming that our books are accurate, producing timely financial reporting, and ensuring strong cost performance tracking.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and implement flexible costing models and accounting classifications across a variety of products (Falcon, Dragon, Starship, Starlink), including both low volume actual costs and high-volume average cost metrics
Manage inventory valuations for multiple production locations, including reconciliation of WIP work orders and on-hand inventory, as well as set up capabilities for new sites/programs
Prepare key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational and production execution
Develop new business processes with supply chain to ensure accurate tracking of materials
Forecast future unit costs with cross-functional teams and track progress
Review and update standard costs and bill of materials with labor, burden, and outside service costs
Analyze and record R&D inventory expenses to the correct projects and departments
Lead cost reduction/spend savings efforts
Manage year-end audit request on inventory, cost of goods sold, and R&D spending
Support cost estimates for percent completion revenue accounting and perform project accounting analysis
Present monthly inventory close metrics to finance leadership
Perform production and supply chain FP&A activities as needed
Establish, document, and deploy control procedures over accounting and financial activities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, mathematics, engineering or other technical discipline
4+ years of experience in general accounting, cost accounting, financial operations, or financial analysis

SR. TURBOMACHINERY ENGINEER (MERLIN)
As a Sr. Merlin Turbomachinery Engineer, you will own all aspects of ongoing Merlin turbopump design, development, qualification, and production support. In this role, you will utilize your strong technical knowledge of turbomachinery as well as your ability to work with a wider team of specialists in the various pump sub systems to ensure maximum reliability of the Merlin engine. You will fully integrate with the Merlin development, refurb, and flight operations teams as we fly commercial, national security, and crewed missions at a pace of 50+ flights per year.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support build, test, and flight of Merlin turbopump s for SpaceX's Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy reusable launch vehicles
Review and/or update detailed mechanical analysis on all the turbopump components/systems, and confirm that they meet the required standards for life and reliability targets
Work with other engineers to ensure rotordynamics/bearings and other mechanical elements (i.e. seals) are correctly defined and implemented or perform analysis as needed
Work with designers to support accurate and correct models and drawings for turbopump assembly and components, and ensure that these drawings are correct and able to be manufactured with the available processes (or develop process to enable them)
Ensure that detailed layouts and stack-ups are up to date and ensure all the correct build clearances and fits are set such that the turbopump can be assembled and run correctly
Work with manufacturing engineers to ensure turbopump and key sub-assemblies are manufactured correctly and efficiently
Work with teams developing other systems on the engine (i.e. combustion devices, valves) to ensure optimal turbopump integration, and that risks are minimized across the engine
Lead the resolution of issues encountered with the turbopump during testing or flight operations
Support ongoing design, manufacturing or reliability improvements to Merlin turbomachinery
Support M1D and MVacD engine test teams for development, qualification, and production engines
Support launch and refurbishment teams on-site to ensure reliability during continued engine reuse
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

SR. LIGHTNING EFFECTS ENGINEER, DIRECT AND INDIRECT
As a member of our fast-paced electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) team, you will be responsible for ensuring avionics hardware performance through some of the harshest and varied electromagnetic environments imaginable. Your explicit goal will be ensuring that our orbital class boosters and spacecraft are designed to handle direct and indirect effects of lightning phenomena. The E3 team at SpaceX performs exhaustive analysis, design, and test at the board, unit, subsystem, and system levels with extensive opportunity to interact with a vast array of rocket, spacecraft, and ground support equipment hardware and electronics. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform lightning zoning analysis and design SpaceX orbital vehicles to survive lightning direct and indirect effects including propulsion systems, recovery systems, autonomous flight safety systems, solar arrays, structures, avionics, ground support equipment, RF and communications systems, TVS sizing, structural design, grounding and bonding

MECHANICAL ENGINEER (CREW STARSHIP)
After 50 years, humankind will once again return to the surface of the moon using SpaceX's new vehicle, Crew Starship (also known as HLS or the Human Landing System) - this time for good. As a Mechanical Engineer on the Crew Starship team, you will design and build spacecraft systems that are critical to the success and safety of future astronauts. Disciplines within this team include primary and secondary structures, mechanisms, and crew-interfacing hardware. Your design solutions will be driven by the all future Crew Starship missions (Lunar, Mars, etc.). This role requires full hardware ownership, from initial design requirements and concepts all the way through design, analysis, prototype, qualification, and integration.

HRIS ANALYST
As an HRIS (Workday) Analyst on our Data and Automation team, you must be eager to solve problems and have a strong interest in optimizing end-to-end processes through complex systems configuration and implementation. Additionally, you should be able to handle multiple high-impact projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. You will bring a knowledge base in Workday HCM to help us implement changes that maximize the platform's utility for SpaceX.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer and maintain the company's human resource information systems (HRIS) with a strong focus on configurations and administration of the core human capital management system (Workday)

Develop user guides and system documentation
Assist in maintaining project plans, folders, milestone, and resource requirements and communications related to HRIS projects

MECHANICAL ENGINEER (SITE DEVELOPMENT, HVAC, AND MEP)
As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, you will oversee all design, construction, and operations of HVAC systems that are critical to production, launch, and facilities. You will be accountable for overseeing existing system performance and modifications, new system design and construction, companywide specifications/compliance, capital project management, and preventative maintenance efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as the primary technical advisor on HVAC technology, design, construction, controls, and equipment operations across all production, launch, and general facilities
Work with internal customers on HVAC design requirements, construction schedules, and costs
Set priority and drive agenda on install projects to meet schedules
Continuously challenge HVAC design requirements, find ways to delete parts, simplify designs, and accelerate the construction process
Design and build HVAC systems with very short timelines
Manage external design consultants, contractors, technicians, and equipment suppliers
Design and build building automation systems to remotely monitor and control equipment
Analyze existing asset performance and find ways to optimize existing systems
Monitor critical production and launch assets, identify failure modes, and ways to improve reliability
Oversee HVAC preventative maintenance programs
In some cases, prepare plans, details, specified and cost estimates of plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and general piping system
Organize the review and evaluate the work of consultants, contractors, and others
Undertake general project site observation/inspection of the mechanical services works for contractor's adherence to the approved shop drawings and consultant's specification, good working practices, and construction schedule
Undertake a prior review of the contractor's proposed mechanical system testing and commissioning methods and schedule
Witness on-site piped system pressure test, air conditioning duct leakage testing, and another testing that may be required during the first fix works and advise the project manager accordingly
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or other engineering discipline
5+ years experience with HVAC system design, environmental sensors/components, industrial system monitoring, and/or data collection systems
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of construction experience with working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
Has knowledge in reading and leading MEP plans to construction
Experience with NX/Teamcenter designing mechanical parts and assemblies
Professional Engineer license

LAUNCH ENGINEER, CONTROL & FLIGHT OPERATIONS (FALCON)
SpaceX is currently seeking an all-star to join the Launch Operations team in Cape Canaveral, FL. As a Launch Engineer in the Operations group, you will have the opportunity to utilize your multi-disciplinary knowledge, experience, and creativity to develop methods that maximize launch efficiency without sacrificing safety or reliability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Control launch vehicle, launch pad, recovery vessels/sites, and launch countdown as a primary launch controller for SpaceX's fleet of vehicles
Serve as the main point of contact for launch readiness, launch anomaly resolutions, and day-to-day launch pad operations
Evaluate ground and flight operations to drive streamlined control room operations

DEVELOPMENT TEST TECHNICIAN
This position is for a Development Test Technician on the Starship Structures Test team. The role is highly multidisciplinary and this individual will be tasked with a wide variety of test equipment and test article fabrication and operations. The team consists of technicians, engineers and specialists working closely together to build mechanical and fluid assemblies, modify and integrate test articles, build data and control systems, and execute test operations. The ideal candidate is highly skilled with mechanical, welding and/or electrical disciplines, hands-on, flexible, a quick learner, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is highly self-motivated.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with engineers to rapidly bring designs to fruition through collaboration and feedback by interpreting drawings and schematics, updating documentation and owning the build process
Fabricate metallic piece parts to print using machine shop equipment: mill, lathe, etc.
Assemble test equipment to print, including on-assembly fabrication operations: precision match drilling, welding, and riveting
Assemble large mechanical assemblies that require strategic part manipulation and heavy lift operations and equipment
Fabricate and assemble high-pressure pneumatic and hydraulic fluid systems, including bending/flaring/assembling of stainless steel and flexible tubing
Independently fabricate instrumentation and wire harnesses for ground support electro-mechanical test equipment and spaceflight harnesses that connect to test articles
Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and harnessing. including pressure transducers, flowmeters, temperature sensors, accelerometers and strain gauges
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ years of experience in mechanical fabrication
3+ years of experience with one of more of the following: working with and troubleshooting mechanical systems, high pressure fluid systems, cryogenic systems or test operations
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
A&P (airframe and powerplant) license
Able to read mechanical and engineering drawings and interpret tolerances (including GD&T)
Experience with hydraulic plumbing repair/fabrication
Knowledge/experience with cryogenic systems (gaseous and liquid)

Experience with precision measuring instruments/equipment

Experience building and activating data and control system, wiring harnesses, and instrumentation
Welding experience
Experience welding on steel and aluminum, and stainless-steel projects
Proficient in Flux core, GTAW, GMAW with strong understanding of AC and DC processes
Proficient in plasma cutting as well as oxyacetylene cutting
Able to pass AWS D1.1 & AWS D1.2 tests
