Inventory Clerk - 1 st Shift

As an Inventory Clerk at Siemens, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of goods and materials in our inventory. You will work closely with the inventory team to ensure that inventory levels are optimized, and the supply chain operates smoothly. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be crucial in maintaining accurate inventory records and facilitating efficient operations.

We are looking for an Inventory Clerk. This position will be based at our Memphis Distribution Center in Southaven, MS.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records:

  • Track and update inventory levels in the company's inventory management system.

  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records.

  • Identify and investigate discrepancies and take necessary corrective actions.

  • Ensure accuracy in recording stock movements, including receipts, transfers, and disbursements.

  • Inventory optimization:

  • Collaborate with the inventory team to analyze inventory levels and identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Monitor stock levels and forecast demand to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.

  • Implement and maintain stock rotation practices to minimize obsolescence and maximize product freshness.

  • Supply chain coordination:

  • Collaborate with purchasing and production teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.

  • Communicate with suppliers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues or delays.

  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

  • Receiving and inspection:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the delivered items against purchase orders.

  • Inspect received goods for quality, damages, and compliance with specifications.

  • Document and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate departments.

  • Shipping and delivery:

  • Prepare items for shipment, ensuring accurate labeling, packaging, and documentation.

  • Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.

  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and customer requirements.

  • Process improvement:

  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes.

  • Propose and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects to optimize overall supply chain performance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Proven experience as an inventory clerk or similar role

  • Proficient in using inventory management software and MS Office applications.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with inventory control best practices and techniques.

  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items, as required.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional education in supply chain or related field is a plus.

  • Prior inventory clerk or similar role experience preferably in a large-scale manufacturing or distribution environment.

We are seeking a Marcom Specialist to work from home in the US. Must be located near a major airport. Opportunity for hybrid or on-site work for those near Peachtree Corners GA or Minnetonka MN.

You will make in impact with the following duties:

  • Event Management: Coordinate and support the planning and execution of industry events, conferences, and webinars to showcase Siemens' systems and solutions and establish thought leadership. Collaborate with senior executives to develop and execute client hospitality functions

  • Digital Marketing: Plan, manage, and evaluate digital marketing efforts, including website management, SEO, Paid Search, advertising, email marketing, and social media campaigns, to drive demand/lead generation and customer engagement.

Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility Customer Services is seeking a Product Manager Alternative Parts to lead its alternative part development business based in Sacramento, CA. Customer Services is the service arm for Siemens Mobility rolling stock products (Light Rail Vehicles, and Main Transit Lines), covering customer needs throughout North America.

As the product manager in the alternative parts program, you will work on new product development to expand and improve the current service vision for existing products and develop an ongoing strategy of new product development and sales. You will use your new product development skills to assist in creations of a portfolio of -form-fit-function- aftermarket part equivalents for customers. This role may encompass replacement of obsolete hardware or developing new alternative parts with better performance than original equipment.

The position will support the planning and execution of product line initiatives and overall category strategy. This includes development of new products, optimizing and increasing profitability of existing products, and vendor management. The position assists in leading product development from conceptual stages through its entire life cycle to optimize profit and meet marketing, sales, financial, and corporate growth objectives. What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Support product strategies and proactively help lead products throughout the lifecycle to ensure success of products.

  • Support product category strategy and Spares department P&L to achieve established revenue, margin, and profit goals.

  • Work with Engineering, Operations and Strategic Sourcing to identify and implement initiatives to maintain market competitiveness.

  • Assist the technical publications department as necessary in creating and verifying content for operations manuals, instructions sheets and service bulletins.

  • Work with suppliers to ensure acceptable product quality, conformance, and support to include communicating product quality issues and product improvement requests through established formats and resolving warranty issues.

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure current and accurate product manuals and service/parts manuals are published and shipped in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Monitor warranty and ensure that product issues are resolved.

  • Develop and maintain a product management backlog for the Aftermarket Parts business as process owner.

  • Develop and present detailed business cases for new products to management ensuring alignment to strategy and ensuring that the team prioritizes products based on input from management.

  • Develop and maintain timelines, communicate project status to stakeholders, and monitor progress to the end product launch.

  • Champion and communicate the value proposition, technical differentiation, and advantages of products in the portfolio.

-Assists in the design and configuration of Electronic Security Systems and building control systems as defined by the contract documents. Creates flow diagrams, floor plan device placement, floor plans, conduit layout, trenching details, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics as required.

-Assists in the development and testing plans from vendor related manuals and installation instructions necessary to operate the system per the intent of the project requirements.

-Assists in the coordination and creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.

-Selects, orders, and tracks the delivery of materials for assigned projects.

-Assists in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required. Assists in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.

-May provide field change information to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software.

-Keeps management and customer informed of job progress and issues.

-Assists in developing site-specific training documentation for owner / operator on specific installed systems.

-Participates in release meeting with project field team.

-Adheres to safety standards. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.

Our processes include material handling, metal fabrication, powder coating and plating, final assembly, and quality tests. The position is responsible for ensuring material availability for manufacturing to be able to meet customer orders on time in the most cost-effective way to meet our financial targets as well.

We are looking for a professional Demand Buyer (material and inventory planning) for our manufacturing facility. This position is based at our Pomona, CA site.

Role Description:

  • Coordinate and balance supply and demand with suppliers and manufacturing

  • Ensure clear and robust delivery, performance from suppliers

  • Works closely with planning, manufacturing, and procurement to plan and prioritize supply to fulfill customer requirements on time and ensure maximum performance, the factory's requirements and financial goals.

  • Manages MRP via SAP, monitor requisitions and place Purchase Orders with internal and external suppliers.

  • Reviews SAP master data including, but not limited to, minimum order quantities, safety stocks, lead times, purchasing info records, etc.

  • Responsible to ensure production schedule at supplier matches with factory demands

  • Work with Strategic procurement to make sure pricing updates are performed on timely manner.

  • Oversees and maintains inventory, working closely with materials/inventory management teams

  • Support the coordination and execution of customer/engineering changes.

  • Support Logistics to resolve delivery and shipment issues

  • Resolve invoicing issues

  • Responsible for meeting the inventory targets, and delivery reliability

  • Responsible for forecasting

  • Works closely with Logistics team to resolve PO receiving issues

  • Document project events that impact the acceptance schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency, identify solutions and review with project manager to drive actions to minimize schedule and cost impact to the project and orientate for project field service technicians and provide all necessary project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, project contacts, etc.

  • Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation and ensure field service personnel scheduled to visit project sites have reviewed project documentation ahead of site visit.

  • Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups during project development and support completion of project-specific close-out documentation and own and drive all aspects of the close milestone processing to achieve timely and clean project quality gates.

  • Work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or state-recognized GED

  • Experience (either on-the-job or through education) with project management and engineering

  • Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of commercial building automation controls or related including the ability to read and understand basic electrical drawings and customer specifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project

  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Construction industry experience

  • Associate degree in engineering or related field

Position Overview:

The CRM Analyst is responsible for all aspects of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process including ensuring monthly S&OP data analysis, reporting, tools management, driving sales excellence, leading monthly cross functional consensus meetings and process improvement initiatives.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Drive the execution of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) business cycle for RI Products and Mass Transit Manufactured Products. This includes establishing and/or monitoring all relevant and required analytical tools and presentations.

  • Develop annual orders and sales volume targets for Products.

  • Drive Sales Excellence by creating account plans, monitoring the achievement of product order targets and/or forecasts, and utilizing opportunity management tools such as Dynamics.

  • Support critical Product bids and champion the Bid Approval process (LOA) for the Products Organization, as needed.

  • Analyze, report, and improve the accuracy of orders, sales, and margin forecasts at both detailed and aggregate levels to ultimately enhance customer service levels, maximize labor utilization, and optimize inventory levels.

  • Oversee backlog management to ensure the accuracy of backlog customer promise dates and resolve large or abnormal orders while striving to meet operational and customer excellence.

  • Ensure a systematic approach for plant manufacturing teams to receive soft (not yet booked) demand inputs and assumptions from account manager reviews and forecasts.

  • Lead and facilitate the Sales & Operations Planning cycle by conducting a monthly consensus and demand review meeting with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, procurement, sales, customer relationship management, engineering, and management functions). Communicate any relevant demand and supply planning results, constraints, and support mitigation efforts.

  • Act as a key stakeholder in managing plant inventory levels to accommodate the Sales, Inventory, and Operations process.

  • Collaborate with the sales and customer relationship management teams to understand unique market requirements and trends.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 6+ years of equivalent or related experience in business analysis

  • Knowledge and/or experience with manufacturing procurement strategy and processes

  • At least 2 Years of Relevant Experience with sales excellence and/or sales and operations planning

  • Experience in SAP is a plus
