We have an opportunity for a highly motivated person whose work will reflect Instron's commitment to customer satisfaction. Working from home, out of the Detroit, MI area, you will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform a variety of services including verification, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation, on a wide range of Instron's products.
You will be provided with a company vehicle, appropriate tools/equipment, including a laptop computer, cell phone, and MI-FI device and the assurance that you have the support of well-established service operation. You will have regional responsibility in the greater Detroit area. Occasional travel to other locations in the US may be required, as much as up to about 40% overnight travel.
Successful applicants will have a two or four-year technical degree from an accredited university and knowledge of electro-mechanical systems. Equivalent military / trade school training may be accepted in lieu of degree. Must have the ability to read, comprehend, and interpret basic technical information involving mechanics and electronics associated with materials testing systems. Must be able to interpret blueprints and schematics, understand electrical, mechanical and electronic systems and be familiar with PC's including operating systems and Windows applications. This role requires a high level of autonomy, as well as superior organizational, time management and customer service skills.

. Automation systems experience is a plus
. Experience performing preventative or corrective maintenance on servo hydraulic systems preferred

The Buyer will be required to perform a variety of tasks related to supply chain management including purchasing, negotiating, inventory control and production scheduling. Job to be performed following ITW/IDS safety, inventory, and manufacturing policies/processes. Must possess strong computer and strong oral and written communication skills. Required to complete tasks accurately and timely and to maintain system information while striving to support the culture of -Flawless Execution-.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct daily procurement functions to ensure timely delivery of both production and indirect materials to meet production schedules and customer demands, negotiate pricing and terms, and adhering to ITW Corporate metrics of maintaining appropriate MOH (Months of Hand) and grading reserves.
Work within Supplier Segmentation best practices to develop strong supplier relations, identify preferred suppliers and be involved in supplier performance monitoring
Play an integral role in inventory control management by reviewing quantity levels, doing daily transactions, cycle counting, investigating inventory discrepancies, coordinating physical inventories, and meeting annual objectives / metrics.
Actively involved in production scheduling, releasing Purchase Orders per customer and production demands, and working closely with department managers to monitor finished goods.
Provide Excellent customer service to internal customers from departments including but not limited to Customer Service, Sales & Service, Marketing, Production and Engineering.
Ensure all orders confirmed by suppliers and agreed upon delivery dates are accurate in ERP system.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery goals are met.
Maintain valid due dates in the purchasing database, files and planning reports. Expediting as required
Ensure that non-confirming product is processed and that dispositions are completed in a timely manner.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with supplier
Resolve billing issues and supplier problems that may arise
Report problems that affect the production schedule to appropriate manager(s)
Maintain effective inventory levels to achieve month on hand (MOH), on-time delivery (OTD), and customer satisfaction. Adjust accordingly.
Maintain up to date SDS for all products on our T-Drive and master SDS book for associate's reference. Make sure website is updated with new/revised SDS. Send copy of new and updated SDS to Infotrac for emergency phone contact.
Perform all related ISO functions, including contacting our suppliers regarding compliance of products we purchase from them and keeping files of our supplier's compliance to ISO objectives
Follows safety policies and wears prescribed PPE, maintains work area (housekeeping), PC/laptops and other company property

Primary Objective: To act as an authorized agent of the company by making purchase commitments that meet Company requirements at the best value while managing supplier performance.
Major Areas of Accountability:
Support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, negotiate pricing and supply agreements for assigned commodities and services
Analyze MRP data to ensure appropriate ordering levels to meet Company objectives
Execute purchase orders, including schedule line agreements and blanket orders, to meet Company demand for materials and services, which are sometimes complex in nature. Ensure all requirements, pricing, terms and conditions, and expectations are clearly documented, and manage exception messages by expediting, delaying or canceling orders as required.
Support internal customers by providing information on purchasing processes, products and suppliers. Mitigate problems by understanding customer requirements and anticipating issues that provide value in resolving supplier and purchasing related issues.
Administer bid processes, including preparation of RFQ packages, to ensure product and service requirements are documented. Evaluate suppliers' proposal for price, requirements, terms and conditions, risk and performance and value.
Maintain master data in the ERP system for Info Records, Routes, Material Masters etc. Determine MRP system settings to optimize inventory, based on established guidelines. Resolve system reconciliation issues such as invoice and receiving discrepancies.
Negotiate with suppliers by developing negotiation strategies based upon the proposal analysis to include price/cost factors, terms and conditions, and technical issues and documents and maintains contractual agreements.
Address day-to-day issues with supplier performance, such as rejections/quality issues and supplier requested schedule changes, ensuring SAP system is accurate. Support or facilitate supplier performance review meetings.
Provide feedback to support strategic sourcing, including assessments of the current situation (e.g., internal direction, suppliers, pricing trends) and identify future purchase strategies and actions to proactively reduce total costs and optimize performance.
Develop and apply technical knowledge of products assigned for purchase to add value into purchasing functions

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment; or in lieu of bachelor's degree, 8 years of continued advancement in a manufacturing, technical, or business environment, plus three years of technical purchasing experience. Total experience of at least 11 years without a bachelor's degree.

- Support line review presentations: create PowerPoint presentation slides using internal and external data sources, coordinate mock-ups of new products and support national sales team requests from our retail partners.
- Champion a social media strategy with in-house Digital Team, propose content ideas for monthly content calendar and manage approvals of assets and budgets.
- Internal and external cross-functional project leadership.
- Work with brand team to identify and develop new products, help create all brand related tasks such as packaging design and selling materials.
- Support account level projects as needed.

Position Overview:
E.H. Wachs, an ITW company, currently has an opening for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in its Lincolnshire, IL facility. This Shipping & Receiving Clerk will keep records of all goods shipped and received. They also be responsible for maintaining records, preparing shipments, sorting packages, and accepting deliveries.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for the shipping and receiving function which includes maintaining records by entering all received shipments into system
Prepare shipments, sort packages, and accept deliveries. This includes unloading freight
Schedule freight pickups and deliveries. Ensure competitive shipping rates on all pickups
Resolve customer shipping complaints
Fulfill sales orders by picking parts, packaging, labeling and shipping required parts
Work with other departments to ensure efficiency and timeliness of shipping and receiving function
Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly
Adhere and comply with state and federal law, the ISO Quality program and procedures, and the safety program
Willing to flex between departments within company

BASIC DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:
The Toolroom Apprentice - Deltar Fasteners will report to the Production Service Manager - Deltar Fasteners and will learn and assist in the duties to construct, alter and repair molds of a complex, intricate, and precise nature. This position will also use machine skills and techniques to build and revise engineering related components including: gages, fixtures, End of Arm Tooling, test panels, etc.

. Assist with making, altering, and repairing gauges, jigs, fixtures, special machines, and other devices.
. Learn to set up and operate all tool room equipment including EDM and improvise where equipment is limited.
. Learn to build and repair molds from part prints, 2D electronic prints, 3D CAD detail
. Use of variety of precision measuring instruments, hand tools, machine shop equipment and mills, lathes, grinders, EDM.
. Follow safety rules and keep work areas in a clean and orderly condition.

The Electronics Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst provides critical leadership for the Electrical and Electronics Category Team and support for the Electromechanical Category Team to deliver cross-segment sourcing strategies for the larger ITW organization. Job Responsibilities:
Process and issue payments to vendors timely. Payment process may include checks, ACH, wire transfers, and inter-company netting.
Process vendor invoices including verifying invoices are properly approved prior to entry and payment.
Set up new vendors and maintain vendor Masterfile.
File invoices orderly and promptly.
Resolve payment issues with vendors.
Manage employee expense reimbursements and responsible for maintaining the web based expense system (Concur). Maintenance includes the approval hierarchy, periodic audits of expense reports for compliance with ITW Policy and initiating weekly ACH payments.

The Application Engineer will reside in Hebron, IL and will report to the Sales Manager. This position will be responsible for supporting the sales account managers by means of communicating technical information with the customer and internal product engineers. The Validation Technician will perform a wide variety of engineer and performance tests to validate new designs, product improvements and process changes. The Validation Technician will conduct robust testing in accordance with documented test plans, protocols, and applicable standards to determine whether test specimens meet the effectiveness, durability, and safety criteria specified in the test plan.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of the validation protocols and reports (IQ, OQ, PQ)
Set up and run development and validation testing
Document results from testing and prepare validation reports
Support technical root cause and resolution of issues found during testing

Summary:

Work with freight brokers and forwarders to find the most efficient and cost effective method of shipping product (LTL, FTL, premium etc.)
Coordinate with production operations to package and cube freight for most efficient trailer utilization
Prepare necessary documentation for international shipments and arrange appropriate freight needs
Coordinate freight with our 3rd party Canadian manufacturing partner
Monthly reporting of shipment vs freight dollar efficiency
Foster, communicate, and exemplify the values of ITW; act with integrity and trust, operate with simplicity, treat everyone with respect, take shared risk.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education - Experience - Other Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years freight, logistics and transportation experience to include international shipping and trade compliance
4 year degree in business, supply chain/operations mgt. or equivalent experience
Understanding of freight rates, schedules and tariffs
Freight brokerage or customs broker experience a plus
Hands on self-starter
Excellent problem-solving and follow-thru skills
Team player with ability to communicate at all levels including external customers
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions as related to the job.
Ability to travel as needed.

Job Description
We are currently seeking candidates for a 2nd shift Material Handler in the Distribution Department. Hours will be 3:00pm - 11:00pm Monday - Friday.
The Material Handler is responsible for the following:
Required to accurately pick, check, and transport customer orders to designated location in a timely manner.
Required to prepare customer orders for shipment using the most efficient, effective and economical method to meet D.O.T. packaging requirements and customer needs.
Required to label and fill air/ocean/truck freight following domestic and international regulations.
Must possess experience in operating all Material Handling Equipment: low-lift, sit-down, and hi-lift; and must follow all lift safety guidelines and procedures and obtain certification for same.
Will be responsible to actively participate in our SAFETY PROGRAM.
Will be required to interact with numerous associates and Carrier contacts, and interact in a clear, concise, professional manner. Must be able to prioritize workflow.
Good math skills are a must.
Will be expected to keep assigned areas clean on a consistent basis.
All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
The selected individual will possess a high school diploma or equivalent with a preferred minimum of 2 years prior Shipping and Warehouse experience.
Must have reach truck (high lift) and low-lift forklift experience
Pay Rate: $17.50 - $19.50 an hour depending on experience. Plus $.50 shift differential.

Permatex is currently looking for a 2nd Picker in our Distribution Department. The hours for this position are 3:00pm - 11:00pm (Monday - Friday). This position is responsible for the following:
Will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders paying special attention to customer specific requirements.
Will utilize R/F technology to fulfill these orders and generate appropriate labels and will also be required to generate appropriate paperwork at times.
Will be required to stand/lift /bend the entire shift and able to lift 65 pounds.
This incumbent will be picking 5 gallon pails and gallon boxes approximately 90% of everyday
Must be experienced in driving motorized material handling equipment.
Will independently perform housekeeping aisle audits on a routine basis.
Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a team environment as well as be able to independently plan work activities and meet daily productivity goals.
Must be detail oriented and able to perform basic mathematical functions
Is able to plan and carryout movement or flow of materials or products in a productive manner.
Assures that accurate customer orders are completed with efficiency.
Qualifications

Must have low-lift forklift experience
Pay Rate: $16-$17 an hour depending on experience. Plus $.50 an hour shift differential.
