Role Definition

This role will give you the opportunity to play a key part in the newly formed Global Operations and Supply Chain organization within the Large Electric Power Division. In this role you will lead teams who are assigned to multiple complex programs or projects. This role will own the strategy development and then deployment, business and facility cadence, organizational development, lean manufacturing in operations, supply chain, and customer quality. The role will additionally act as chief of staff reporting to the Director of Operations and Supply chain.

Responsibilities

- Overseeing the development, and management of all project teams within the program, including both internal staff and external contractors. Also, directs day to day work assignments while coaching, mentoring and setting priorities.

- Requires broad experience in Project Management tools and processes, and ability to: facilitate projects, lead chartering sessions, develop / validate network diagrams, lead integration and compression sessions.

- Designing, establishing and monitoring the organization's project management goals.

- Collaborating with clients on using a disciplined project management approach and coaching them on their project-related roles and responsibilities.

What You Will Do:

Caterpillar's Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is seeking talented individuals for Material Specialist roles.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Safely perform the material handling and warehousing functions required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.

  • Utilizing order pickers, reach trucks, and sit-down forklifts. Keep in mind, not all available positions operate equipment.

  • Operate handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing.

  • Perform housekeeping functions as required and reports defects and need for repairs.

  • Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

What You Will Get:

  • Starting wage is $20.07/hour plus $.75/hour shift differential for second and third shifts.

  • Starting wage is $20.07/hour for AWS shift.

  • Overtime opportunities paid at time and a half (some may be mandatory).

  • Double time on the second worked day outside of the employee's regular workweek schedule.

This position is for a AWS- Level 3 Machinist Technician within the Large Power Systems Division located in our Lafayette, IN facility. Candidates must have a strong machining background with experience in boring milling, drilling and reaming. Must have knowledge of CNC programs and be able to make offset adjustments as required. Candidates will machine engine components using lathes, mills, drills, boring machines, and / or grinders. Must be able to use various gages to verify part quality.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for production, quality, housekeeping and other related duties associated with the operations.

  • Set up and operate NC machines, transport material, audit, operate wash tanks and operate some manual operations

  • Interpret Job Instruction Sheet, Standard Work Documents, GageIt (gage tracking), CMM data, and accountable for processes by monitoring Infinity.

  • At times may be required to work overtime to support the manufacturing requirements.

  • Troubleshooting ability to solve everyday problems.

  • Flexibility to float from one machine to another.

  • Must be able to manage time and work well in a team environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong working knowledge of machining principles; basic SPC, blueprint reading; understanding of geometric tolerances; ability to interpret CMM reports; quality data; and work experience in a lean manufacturing environment.

  • Required to stay in section for 12 months except for a promotion or nights to days move

Physical Requirements:

  • Candidates for all positions must have the ability to work in a fast pace, medium to heavy duty assembly, technical environment.

  • Work may involve frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for 8+ hours.

  • All positions also require the ability to lift 40 pounds and withstand frequent repetitive movement of hands with a variety of tooling.

  • Some positions require the ability to perform tasks on a moving conveyor under time constraints

  • Some positions require the ability to climb ladders, stairs, work on platforms and work at heights

  • Some positions require the ability to work in confined spaces

Caterpillar is hiring a Senior Sales Support Consultant within the Construction Industries Aftermarket Managed Accounts team to lead and implement the future of Framework Agreements for Managed Accounts, which serve as the key mechanism to provide the foundation for strategic customer relationship building and growth.

This person will be instrumental in driving a strategy, project plan and proposing core commercial offerings to suit the variety of needs for CI Managed Accounts customers, ensuring overall alignment with key business partners and adherence to legal and compliance standards. The output of this role directly contributes to sustainable services growth in this key segment as the structure of these agreements are designed to help customers, dealers and Caterpillar win.

Building the Foundation

  • Serve as the primary consultant and Subject Matter Expert on standard Framework Agreement offerings, as well as tailored solutions that can be leveraged based on the unique needs of each customer

  • Create and lead a strategy and project plan to represent the journey to mature Framework Agreements from the -as-is- to the -to-be- state

  • Serve as the liaison between Account Management and Global Construction & Infrastructure Division (GCI) and CISD Legal Services to build the foundational elements required for an effective and compliant Framework Agreement

  • Lead projects in collaboration with key business partners to identify and deliver a consistent (yet customizable) suite of commercial solutions to be leveraged when building and negotiating Framework Agreements

Contract Execution

  • Collaborate and support Account Managers with structuring the best overall aftermarket package via Framework Agreements for customers

  • Lead contract review sessions with all applicable stakeholders prior to executing

  • Collaborate with GCI and CISD Legal Counsel on appropriate contract terms and conditions by contract with a focus on risk mitigation for Caterpillar

  • Participate in customer negotiations, as appropriate

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive repository of all contractual agreements and monitor adherence to contractual terms and renewal/expiration dates

  • Monitor performance against key contractual terms that represent significant risk across agreements and highlight findings to business partners in order to provide proper visibility and align risk mitigation actions as needed

Caterpillar is seeking a 3rd Shift Assembly Production Manager in Sanford, NC. In this role, you will collaborate with the team and maintaining and improving processes and systems and the manufacturing of the products produced in the facility. Further you will analyze and recommend current and future systems procedures and equipment needs based on manufacturing requirements.

Job Summary:

This position is for a dedicated security engineer to provide cybersecurity consulting within the Autonomy and Automation (A&A) areas in support of the IT environment. As a Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) Project Team Leader (internally known as 6 Sigma Black Belt), Medium Tractor Product (MTP) CPI black belts utilize the corporate CPI process and tools for leading teams to resolve product and process issues and implement improvements in production and/or on existing products with dealers and customers. In this role you will assemble components and perform adjustments on both diesel and natural gas engines. This position is for a dedicated security engineer to provide cybersecurity consulting within the Autonomy and Automation (A&A) areas in support of the IT environment.   • Assist in the creation of Logical Technical Architectures (LTAs) for A&A platforms and solutions

  • Assist with product or system risk remediation and mitigation activities as needed.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • Strong progressive experience in Information Security, infrastructure, or architecture roles

  • Strong understanding of on-premises infrastructure (servers, networking, storage) and cloud concepts including IaaS and PaaS

  • Basic understanding of:

  • ISO 27001

  • NIST CSF

  • Experience with a wide variety of information security processes and principles, such as:

  • Vulnerability detection, ticketing, and remediation

  • Risk analysis

  • Defense in depth

  • SDLC and product development processes

  • Networking concepts (routing, design, TCP/IP)

  • Web services security

Desired but Not Required:

This IT Application Analyst position will provide application and technical leadership for Data Integration products within Caterpillar IT. The incumbent will have product ownership of Data Services (DS) Extract-Load-Transform (ETL) tools and responsibilities.
