Overview

The Navy Federal Financial Group (NFFG) Training team partners with every division in NFFG to help build a skilled, engaged, and empowered department. We are the learning branch that develops the training, facilitation, documentation, communication, and change management needs of the department. The Summer Associate will spend their time with us helping to refine policies and procedures for both Training and NFFG, as well as provide project support. We are seeking to broaden our impacts on knowledge transfer, upskilling, and employee development.

The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2024 and ending in August 2024. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2024 or later.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and preparation of reference material

  • Maintain documentation library to ensure accuracy of processes

  • Review proposed policy and procedure changes for technical adequacy, completeness, and compliance to regulations

  • Ensure clear, concise, and effective communication of material

  • Interact with various sub-teams to determine user requirements and specifications

  • Write online reference material, instructions, and communications

  • Assist Instructional Designer on project to map existing learning items to roles and identify gaps

  • Assist with data mining to track material engagement and success ratings

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Education, Instructional Design/Technology, Finance, Business, or other related degree

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Project management or coordination experience

  • Effective skill in presenting at and/or facilitating meetings

  • Experience working with ambiguous problems

  • Desired: working knowledge of the Adobe and Microsoft product suites

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Salary Range: $26.44 - $38.70

Overview

To perform difficult work to ensure collateralized loans have valid and appropriate proof of ownership to minimize Navy Federal financial risk. Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries via various communication venues (e.g., inbound telephone calls, and RightNow eMessages, etc.) to provide explanation for action taken on member collateralized loans

  • Review member account data and/or documentation to ensure data is accurate, up-to-date and in compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and Navy Federal policies and procedures

  • Contact registered owners, state and federal titling agencies, vehicle dealerships, etc. to resolve discrepancies with title issues and loan compliance; identify and perform related follow-up actions

Overview

The Principal Engineer for Core Banking Foundational Services will serve as subject matter expert and consultant for the transition to the new Cloud Core Banking system at NFCU. The Principal will be responsible for driving forward the implementation of the new Cloud Core banking system. This individual will need to become knowledgeable in our current on-premises mainframe batch driven Core banking system and make recommendations to solve problems around migrating this to a real-time cloud-based Core Banking system. The Principal will be consulted on the strategy, design, engineering, and integration efforts within Cloud Enabled Core services.

The Principal engineer will provide technical expertise on the new Cloud Core Banking system as well as other technologies and ancillary systems that are used to support or integrate with the Core Banking system. This role will use engineering principles and technology to construct necessary systems to interface with the new cloud core banking system as well as champion the proper usage of configuration and extensibility capabilities of the new core banking product. This will require close collaboration with the Technology Product Owner and Technology Product Managers in Cloud Enabled Core services, vendors and other departments in ISD. This person will interact with ISD, business unit leadership, and vendors to support the development of a roadmap that addresses the necessary milestones needed to support the implementation of the new cloud Core Banking system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise in distributed and cloud technologies

  • Ensure appropriate thought and considerations are applied to sizing and performance metrics of the new cloud banking core

Overview

The Principal Engineer for Core Banking Foundational Services will serve as subject matter expert and consultant for the transition to the new Cloud Core Banking system at NFCU. The Principal will be responsible for driving forward the implementation of the new Cloud Core banking system. This individual will need to become knowledgeable in our current on-premises mainframe batch driven Core banking system and make recommendations to solve problems around migrating this to a real-time cloud-based Core Banking system. The Principal engineer will provide technical expertise on the new Cloud Core Banking system as well as other technologies and ancillary systems that are used to support or integrate with the Core Banking system. This role will use engineering principles and technology to construct necessary systems to interface with the new cloud core banking system as well as champion the proper usage of configuration and extensibility capabilities of the new core banking product. This will require close collaboration with the Technology Product Owner and Technology Product Managers in Cloud Enabled Core services, vendors and other departments in ISD. This person will interact with ISD, business unit leadership, and vendors to support the development of a roadmap that addresses the necessary milestones needed to support the implementation of the new cloud Core Banking system.

Overview

To support the IT division and the enterprise by developing innovative solutions that leverage the latest technologies in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Azure cloud. As a team member, your role will be a Microsoft Dynamics CRM engineer working in a Scale Agile environment. As a Microsoft Dynamics CRM practice team member, you will be responsible for creating and implementing CRM Dynamics solutions and drawing out functional requirements from business subject matter experts. Some of our many solutions include the Sales and Servicing functions of CRM. Responsibilities

  • Provides subject matter expertise and mentorship in developing and maintaining system software code using the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platforms

  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day oversight for assigned Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) systems in compliance with NFCU standards processes

  • Provide oversight and responsibility in following the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) utilizing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices

  • Identifies, analyzes, designs, develops, and maintains cost-effective information technology solutions that align with business initiatives and corporate strategies

  • Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, and operating systems environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external controls, and output

  • Identifies and resolves conflicts between proposed solutions and existing systems to ensure compatibility

  • Oversees and leads the preparation, execution, and documentation of development tests and evaluations

  • Responsible for preparing and maintaining all project documentation per the SDLC phases of an Agile Scrum model. Mentors team members in developing these artifacts

  • Ensures all revisions and refinements of software account for all changes in functional system requirements and equipment configurations that may occur during the product life-cycle

  • Responsible for and leads the implementation of systems/applications into test and production environments. Prepares implementation plans and change requests required for system migration

  • Responsible for consistent, concise, relevant, reliable, and timely information to all appropriate internal and external stakeholders through various communication channels

Qualifications

  • Experience with Dynamics 365 elements, including D365 custom entities/fields, views, dashboards, interactive dashboards, model-driven apps, business process flows, workflows, and business rules

  • Experience with native Dynamics 365 import templates and non-native tools like SSIS

  • Experience and knowledge of Dynamics 365 and the O365 platform regarding feature sets that integrate with Dynamics solutions, including SharePoint, MS Office, and OneDrive/OneNote

Work with a team of Splunk SMEs to administer Splunk Cloud instances supporting both cybersecurity and fraud initiatives. Work with other cybersecurity and IT personnel, product owners, and security teams to develop and maintain Splunk content for cybersecurity and fraud use cases. Lead complex projects and solve complex problems as they relate to Splunk service offerings taking a broad perspective to identify solutions and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, modify, build, and deploy SIEM correlation rules in alignment with client requirements utilizing change management best practices

  • Act as a subject matter expert to guide internal staff with a primary mission to proactively prevent incidents by utilizing the SIEM and complimentary technologies as appropriate

  • Normalize data to ensure CIM compliance and align with data models to accelerate queries, dashboards, and correlation searches

  • Work with existing and custom Splunk applications and add-ons to fulfill customer requirements
