Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking an experienced electrical, software, or computer engineer to join our Field Test Validation team. This role will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager of the Field Test Validation team and will be responsible for successfully verifying requirements and validation of operational and mission scenarios by executing field test exercises. This person will contribute to the company's success by ensuring L3Harris product and system requirements are fully verified with user-oriented focus in valid over-the-air operational and mission scenarios, successfully exceeding the quality expectations of our current and future customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Testing of L3Harris products and systems in customer scenarios with an end-user focus.

  • Developing test strategies for over the air (OTA) field and lab testing.

  • Documenting test plans and procedures.

  • Set up, configuration, and operation of sophisticated data and voice communication equipment.

  • Developing small software applications/tools to assist with data collection/analysis and for automation of repetitive testing tasks.

  • Generating trouble reports (TRs) to communicate issues found and characterize repeatability.

  • Collaborate with development engineers to suggest and support TR resolutions.

  • Refining team procedures, practices, and collection and reporting of performance data to ensure continuous improvement in the execution of tests.

  • May also include occasionally supporting new business pursuit activities including demos, proposals, generation of applications info (e.g. diagrams, write-ups, etc.), and/or occasional travel and/or customer interaction to support these activities.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related engineering experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Theoretical knowledge of RF communications including RF propagation

  • Knowledge of networking including TCP/IP, LAN and WAN technologies.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $85,500- $158,500.
