Job Description :
The Sr. Specialist, Software Configuration Management is a critical specialty engineering support role that performs software configuration management (SWCM) functions to establish and oversee consistency of product performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information. The primary goal of this role is to contribute and support at a high level of configuration managment for maintenance and integrity of system and software documentation, artifacts, baselines, media records, and associated configuration information using established configuration processes and controls. This role also provides on-demand support to various engineering and program management teams as a subject matter expert for analyses, consultations, special topic discussions, tools support, DevOps support, and other tasking as required.
Essential Functions:
Interface with multiple disciplines and levels of management regularly to ensure adequate control and traceability of all software products and security compliance
Responsible for meeting software configuration management technical, schedule and cost objectives on assigned programs and oversee delivery of software media
Acts as a liaison between management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding software configuration processes and records.
Participate with JIRA scrum board on team ticketing system
Administer existing software configuration management toolsets, to include Agile Product Data Management (PDM), Rational ClearQuest, Windchill, JIRA, and others.
Implement established software configuration management documentation, processes, training and principles in an Agile development environment (JIRA, Confluence, Artifactory, Bitbucket and others).
Perform audits to verify compliance with contract requirements
Participate with software configuration control boards as needed, including creation of agendas, facilitation of meetings and follow up of action items
Perform problem solving and provide creative solutions, drawing from prior experience and in-depth analysis of issues
Contribute and facilitate suggestions for improvement or enhancements to systems and processes to improve performance of job area
May provide other functional support as assigned to assist in the execution of various engineering and program management activities.

Active Top Secret (TS) clearance is required.
Requires higher level technical knowledge in the functional job area including analytical and troubleshooting skills typically obtained through advanced education in a technical field and/or prior experience in an relevant engineering or technical support role such as: Configuration Manager (CM), Data Manager (DM), Quality Assurance Technician (QA/QE/QC), document controller, design drafter, technical writer, program operations analyst, systems support engineer, software engineer, integration and test engineer, specialty engineer, or similar.
Requires experience providing a high level of customer service and support to multiple internal customers, external customers, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Requires experience using version control tools such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Agile PDM, JIRA, Artifactory, Bitbucket, ClearCase, Subversion, Confluence, Windchill or similar.
Willingness to work overtime and/or outside of normal business hours as needed to meet critical deadlines and business requirements.
