Summary

This position is for individuals responsible for the placement of all the large mechanical components of a Generator. An Assembly tech 2 will be responsible for mounting Genset on its skid using correct hardware and meeting torque requirements, mounting all stands to skid (ECC, GBC, SCR, disconnect) and setting said components in place also connecting exhaust parts and installing using correct hardware, gaskets and meeting all torque requirements. This position will also be responsible for making load cables using correct gauge cable, lug and proper crimp, making CAN harnesses, fuel line and block heater hose. The Tech 2 position in addition to the above will have the ability to read/ understand electrical drawing of both house power and communication wiring, properly landing/ labeling wiring in both TCC/ECC and house power panel, install all phases of load cables, bend install conduit and assemble def pumps, solenoids, and complex def systems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years Manufacturing, Power Generation Equipment, or experience in a related field.

  • High School Diploma or equivalency preferred; however, a combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to read and understand an electrical drawings and schematics.

  • Proficient with hand tools.

  • Able to read a tape measure and other measuring devices.

  • Successfully complete the on boarding training program.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be able to measure to 1/16th of an inch.

  • Must understand torque values and how they correspond to components.

  • Drill and tap holes, crimps, screws, bolts, rivets, mount control units, and to provide openings for elements, wiring, and instruments using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.

  • Electrical wire and cable routing skills and the understanding of standard wiring workmanship as it pertains to quality.

  • Determine if own work is complete and correct as specified by instructions, drawings, and specifications.

  • Work independently and cooperatively.

  • Coordinate daily tasks with others to align priorities for smooth assembly operations.

  • Ability to read/execute electrical schematics and/or drawings, and engineering sketches.

  • Must have troubleshooting skills.

  • Mark and tag components, wiring, and connections to identify circuits and assemblies.

  • Ability to use hand and power tools.

Essential Functions

The main function of this role is the assembly of the enclosure, all mechanical components, and Final Assembly operations, including electrical, fuel system, and Def system. Additional responsibilities and objectives will be added as needed based on business and area of needs.

Physical Demands

This position will require standing, stooping, bending, and limited lifting of up to 50lbs.

Controls Technician, Specialist, Sr.

Description

This position is an entry level position within the SCADA department. This position will assist with the installation and maintenance activities associated with field measurement instrumentation, advanced real-time data communication, and SCADA control to ensure optimum system operation and reliability. Assist with field repairs to rectify issues with RF, land-line, cellular, or WPLS communication systems. Assist with calibration tests to ensure field instrumentation, real-time controls and SCADA equipment are performing reliable and to manufacturer specifications, Company standards and regulatory guidelines. Auxiliary duties include assisting Controls Specialist and above with maintenance of electronic controls and equipment associated with Odorizers, electronic chart recorders, tap heaters, chromatographs, transmitters, phone modems and RTUs.

Job Responsibilities

Functional Expertise:

-Ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair data communication systems using radio, landline, and cellular technology

-Ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair data field communication auxiliary equipment such as radio antennas, modems, routers, and poll servers

-Ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair SCADA RTU field equipment

-Ability to install, maintain, and calibrate field transmitters such as flow, pressure, and temperature units

-Conduct point to point commissioning of SCADA equipment with Gas Control to verify date accuracy

Business Acumen:

-Work towards understanding industry (AGA, SGA, etc.) calibration procedures as they relate to measurement and SCADA devices

-Complete daily work assignments and regional requirements

-Work towards the ability to analyze and interpret data to resolve issues and make process changes

Engagement:

-Collaborate with Gas Control and Real-time System Support to design and configure RTU's

-Become familiar with internal departments to meet company goals and build cohesive relationships.

-Assist with pipeline and measurement field personnel to correct measurement issues

-Assist with work tickets to resolve issues that are identified in the field for repair

-Execute departmental metrics

-Assist Controls Specialist to ensure all regulatory requirements are met

The Brand Strategy Manager is the central point of development and coordination for Georgia Power's brand story. The Brand Strategy Manager will direct all aspects of marketing and advertising programs including strategy, campaign execution, content, community management, advocacy responses, and analytics and reporting. This role will lead the Brand Strategy team and will report to the Brand Director.

The successful candidate must be a seasoned, advertising leader who is passionate about leading a team in ideating and executing best in class integrated marketing campaigns.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, related discipline, or other appropriate experience

  • 5 years' experience in strategy, with an emphasis on brand building; PR and/or agency experience preferred

  • 3 years of supervisory experience; passionate people leader with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams

Job Requirements

Summary:

The purpose for this position is responsible for maintaining the safety, integrity, and reliability for the Pipeline Company's real-time operations of gas transmission and distribution systems. Functional Expertise:

-Support the safe and efficient operations of the Pipeline Company's transmission and storage system at all times.

-Monitor all alarms and respond to such alarms following the established protocol, including documentation and call-out procedures and if needed seek direction from a Controller or Senior Controller to determine level of escalation.

-Identify and examine changes to transmission and storage operating conditions via the use of SCADA data and other operational tools using use operational skills and experience to make the correct, efficient, required operational changes and if needed seek direction from a Controller or Senior Controller to resolve issues and implement required operational changes.

-Examine and troubleshoot SCADA, communications and electronic gas measurement systems issues, as well as issues with various operating tools used by the Control Room and if needed seek direction from a Controller or Senior Controller to determine level of escalation

-Responsible for ensuring all defined processes and procedures relating directly to Control Room Management are followed daily to ensure federal pipeline regulations are within compliance.

-Document all relevant operational information in Gas Control Log shift notes system during the shift.

-Assist in the planning and managing of transmission, distribution, and storage (off system and on system peaking) operations to ensure the operational integrity of the pipeline and storage systems, provide consistent and reliable service and maximize available capacities and revenues.

-Planned Outage - Assist in the planning and evaluation of facility outages.

-Unplanned Outage - Assist in reacting to unscheduled outages and contingency planning around event

Business Acumen:

-Analyze, review, and publish accurate data for all internal and external reporting requirements. (i.e. EIA Reports, Pipeline vs. SCADA measurements, Daily Operations Report, Daily Send-out Report, Daily Odorization Log, and other various reports as assigned)

-Assist in creating, updating, finalizing, and distributing the daily demand forecast for operational balancing of supply to all internal and external parties (i.e. supply managers, asset management, external marketers)

Georgia Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company, is currently seeking an Engineer or Engineering Associate for the Macon Distribution Area. The position listed below can be filled as either an Engineer or Engineering Associate, depending on the skills, education, and experience qualifications of the successful candidate. (Position to be posted for two weeks internally and externally)

Reports to: Engineering Supervisor

Work Location: Macon HQ

City: Macon, GA

Candidate must currently live within a reasonable, daily commuting distance to the selected area OR be willing to immediately relocate to be within commuting distance. Relocation assistance may be available.

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be required to handle all of the day-to-day engineering work activities in an assigned area. Responsibilities include service design, estimating, and coordinating construction for multiple overhead and underground residential, new business and other construction projects. Candidate must provide superior customer service and be able to prepare and schedule construction of jobs to meet committed service dates. Candidate will write and execute switching orders to effectively maintain, operate, and assist in the distribution planning of the system for reliability. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for processing all documentation in accordance with Compliance requirements. Other duties will include handling customer inquiries (voltage complaints, claims, etc.) and assisting with Distribution compliance and asset management programs. Candidate will also participate in the on-call trouble supervision rotation and must be available after business hours for local, out-of-town, and out-of-state trouble and storm restoration.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience for an Engineer or Engineering Associate position:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology OR

- Bachelor's Degree in Math or Science OR

- Professional Engineer's License (PE) in lieu of the above bachelor's degree

- Previous Distribution Engineering Experience is a plus

Education and Experience for an Engineering Representative position:

- Preferred - Not Required

- 2-year accredited Technical Degree, OR

- 4-year accredited degree in a non-technical field, OR

- EUT Certificate

- Distribution and or related Engineering experience with a power utility company is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Proficient with MS office products and other related engineering Software systems highly desired

- Strong Technical Engineering Skills and understanding of Power Systems are highly desired

- Candidate should possess knowledge of general engineering and construction principles

- Knowledge of electrical system operations, distribution systems, underground and overhead construction practices

- Prior experience in writing and executing switching orders preferred

Summary:

The purpose for this position is responsible for maintaining the safety, integrity, and reliability for the Pipeline Company's real-time operations of gas transmission and distribution systems. This position is responsible for ensuring operational compliance with federal, state, local, and company rules and regulations.

Functional Expertise:

-Support the safe and efficient operations of the Pipeline Company's transmission and storage system at all times.

-Monitor all alarms and respond to such alarms following the established protocol, including documentation and call-out procedures and if needed seek direction from a Controller or Senior Controller to determine level of escalation.

-Identify and examine changes to transmission and storage operating conditions via the use of SCADA data and other operational tools using use operational skills and experience to make the correct, efficient, required operational changes and if needed seek direction from a Controller or Senior Controller to resolve issues and implement required operational changes.

-Examine and troubleshoot SCADA, communications and electronic gas measurement systems issues, as well as issues with various operating tools used by the Control Room and if needed seek direction from a Controller or Senior Controller to determine level of escalation

-Responsible for ensuring all defined processes and procedures relating directly to Control Room Management are followed daily to ensure federal pipeline regulations are within compliance.

-Document all relevant operational information in Gas Control Log shift notes system during the shift.

-Assist in the planning and managing of transmission, distribution, and storage (off system and on system peaking) operations to ensure the operational integrity of the pipeline and storage systems, provide consistent and reliable service and maximize available capacities and revenues.

-Planned Outage - Assist in the planning and evaluation of facility outages.

-Unplanned Outage - Assist in reacting to unscheduled outages and contingency planning around event

Business Acumen:

-Analyze, review, and publish accurate data for all internal and external reporting requirements. (i.e. EIA Reports, Pipeline vs. SCADA measurements, Daily Operations Report, Daily Send-out Report, Daily Odorization Log, and other various reports as assigned)

-Assist in creating, updating, finalizing, and distributing the daily demand forecast for operational balancing of supply to all internal and external parties (i.e. supply managers, asset management, external marketers)

-Assist in development of multiple day supply/demand that support gas purchasing, storage/plant operations, 3rd party nominations and system operations.

Engagement:

-Respond to and effectively communicate system emergencies

-Effectively answer internal & external customer questions in a timely courteous manner seeking assistance as needed from Controller or Senior Controller

-Maintain a positive attitude, respect, and promote a learning environment conducive within the control room.

-Assist to coordinate and conveys the daily operation plan for the distribution of scheduled pipeline supplies, storage and peaking assets, and power generation to meet market demand.

-Assist on complex, non-routine system operations.

-Various other duties as assigned by the Controllers, Senior Controllers or Manager.

-Demonstrate continuous improvement within the areas of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform job role.

-Assist in the development of the supply plans efficiently in accordance with contingencies throughout the shift in a non-discriminatory manner and makes adjustments as warranted to meet increases or decreases in demand on an hourly basis and if needed seeks direction from a Controller or Senior Controller.

-Assist in the daily planning for determining the availability of excess capacity based on current operational parameters.

Education, Certifications/Licenses:

-High School Diploma or GED and 2 years in gas distribution or related experience
