Job Summary
The Application Developer position within Generation Technology Solutions will develop and maintain custom C# .NET Web and Batch applications. Responsibilities include working with technology leads and business partners to implement new business requirements, remediate software issues, and maintain the heath of applications across the Engineering and Plants portfolio.
Application Development, - Essential Duties Include

Participate in the creation of Technical Design documents.
Collaborate with Senior Programmers to plan for coding and overall program development.
Able to translate specifications to create code that meets performance expectations/coding requirements.
Modify existing software to correct errors or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance based on specifications, with supervision.
Able to troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing software with limited supervision.
Participate in system testing as required.
Develop solutions and corresponding system documentation to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity while building the skills to increase complexity.
Participate in deployment activities to implement designed solutions.
Maintain and follow production support processes focused on identification and mitigation of root cause.
Prioritize work and deliver on project commitments.
Work, with supervision, to ensure code development is aligned with Technology Organization goals and strategies.
Skills/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
2-years hands-on experience implementing and supporting application software solutions
Experience with mobile development and responsive web design
A full working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and development principles
Ability to identify root cause for routine problems while working with other technical staff
Basic understanding of Technical Design Documents and Specifications
Exposure to software development projects
Ability to develop unit testing of code components or complete applications
Experience in system development practices, methodology and tools
Excellent communication skills
Languages: C#, Blazor, SQL

Coordinate and communicate with other engineering groups, sales, marketing, and operations. Be an active participant in project meetings including handoff, release review, and design meetings as required with the necessary stakeholders.
If made aware of long lead material, notify appropriate personnel.
Create and verify the BoM (Bill of Materials). Coordinate with the SCADA team to ensure appropriate communication components are ordered. Coordinate with the Systems team to ensure appropriate communication components are ordered. Design is responsible for setting up Vault structure (folders, items, ECOs) and coordinating with Manufacturing Support.
Review and verify the drawing packages prior to submittal and release.
Ability to design electrical circuits for LV, MV, and DC applications ensuring compliance to common design standard.
Review Powered Electrical components and drawings. Including Fire Alarm drawings and Panel Schedules.
[AutoDesk] AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor, Vault and IFS.
Work on the electrical/control systems defined in the construction documentation or product specifications for the following.
Controllers, PLC, Woodward, HMIs, Switches, Industrial PCs, etc.
House Power. Transformer, Panel Board, distribution and conduit, receptacles, lights and switches, HVAC, and switchgear heaters. Interface with switchgear controls, Engine block heaters, alternator strip heaters, Gas Train electrical needs, etc.
DC Systems. Station Battery, Racks, consoles, chargers, DC panel Boards and distribution details.
Special electrical/control needs such as Comms, gas leak detection, ventilation, fire detection and alarm interface to controls.
Develop document set; including BOM, schematics, wire/conduit schedules, and other drawing details that will ensure the safe and efficient installation of this equipment.
Identify and execute processes that reduce the overall cost to manufacture, install and operate our products.
Ensure schedules and milestone dates are achieved in the ERP system. Provide feedback to Engineering Manager if issues arise.

The Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing internal and external communication strategies and serves as point of contact for communication counsel for various departments and initiatives. Major responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Ash Pond Project Engineer is responsible for managing technical activities related to utility Customer's Coal Combustion Residual (CCR) and ash pond closure projects. Dependent on experience and qualifications, the Engineer could also be responsible for coordinating a multi-disciplinary team to deliver quality engineering packages on time and on schedule. This individual will focus on technical oversight and coordination of the design and engineering of the ash pond closure projects, as well as managing external contracts related to quality assurance and engineering activities. Frame design: engine/alternator steel baseframes, SCR/Silencer mounting frames, aluminum enclosure frames, enclosure steel baseframes.
Fuel Tank Design: UL142 diesel fuel tank designs, including placement of nozzles, instrumentation, and other ancillary equipment.
Switchgear frames, bussing, breaker support structures, lug pads, and other ancillary features.
Develop document set; including BOM, schematics, schedules, and other drawing details that will ensure the safe and efficient installation of this equipment. Ensure drawings are as-built, documents and manuals are filed on the server for use in O&M development.
Develop CAD models to automatically drive complete BOMs in PDM software with proper product structures, assortments, and other metadata.
Perform calculations, both by hand and using computer, for various parameters such as fluid flow, friction, CFD, FEA, etc.
Interface with design team for placement and code clearances of electrical and mechanical equipment.
Assist with Product Development initiatives including new component design, fitment, etc.
