As a new member of Wavefront's Solution Architect (known as SVE internally) team you will:

  • Engage regularly (daily) with customers using Wavefront to help accelerate the realization of their business and technical objectives through successful use of Tanzu Observability.

  • Cultivate key relationships with technical stakeholders at customers through continuous engagement, focusing on delivering positive solutions, meeting their business outcomes, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.

  • Serve as the first line of contact in existing customers for features, use, how-to, solutions development.

  • Proactively identify risks to the customer achieving their stated business goals and work with the Wavefront team to build a risk mitigation plan

  • Build deep relationships with people within customer environments at not only the technical level but also the business level

  • New use case and solutions development

  • Developing new use cases based on customer interaction and market trends (not just identify but also build out prototypes as needed)

  • Working with product management and engineering to ensure speedy development and release on Wavefront

  • Adoption

  • Ensuring rapid time to value by timely and successful user training on existing and new features

  • Piloting POCs and betas as needed to expand usage of Wavefront

  • Proactively review customer consumption to help customers optimize their investment and grow Wavefront business

  • Lead up-sell efforts by identifying additional use cases and positioning new solution offerings to clients

  • Evangelism

  • Development of blogs, opensource contribution, etc - As a trusted advisor to several customers, you will learn about use cases, issues in operations and how to solve them. We expect this knowledge to be translated to blogs, talks at conferences, etc. What skills do we look for?

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex customer relationships in a technology service industry

  • Excellent communication skills, including with internal and external stakeholders and all levels of management

  • Directly support critical customer concerns and deliver workshops to train customers, partners, and the field

  • Proven record of driving issues to resolution with great customer satisfaction

The Work

The hiring manager is the Regional Director for Enterprise West EUC Sales. We operate as a highly collaborative, matrixed sales team including core reps, systems engineers and other specialists all working together to achieve our goals.

Remote: this role is fully remote and located in Washington or Oregon

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

  • Strategically selling the End User Computing (Workspace One and Horizon) portfolio of products and services within a list of large named private sector accounts in the Pacific Northwest

  • Acting as a true enterprise field sales specialist to the VMware core sales team (Client Executives).

  • Increasing customer spending through 'Whitespace' and 'Wallet share' selling motions in PacNW enterprise customers

  • Coordinating sales approach with: PreSales Systems Engineers, Client Executives, Inside Reps, Field Marketing, Professional Services, Channel Management and external partners.

  • Advancing EUC sales opportunities through the entire sales cycle

  • Building pipeline of new EUC opportunities within the assigned named accounts.

  • Accurately forecast license bookings, specific products revenue, PSO bookings and new accounts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis via Salesforce.com.
