This is a Sacramento, CA based entry-level position under the direction of Install Team Leader and Service Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with equipment installations and maintenance as required. The candidate will assist with the assembly of equipment and inspect for proper operation, uncrating and moving of equipment into position. The individual will be responsible for driving service and delivery truck to the intended destination to deliver or pick up equipment with the use of a lift-gate. Must also assist other Branch employees and Service Technicians as required. Must be willing to work hours as needed.
What you'll bring to the table:
High School diploma/GED or related experience
0-1 year minimum experience in related field.
Be able to work with mechanical/electrical equipment safely
Basic Knowledge of Welding, Hydraulics and/or Electrical Skills
Understand How to Troubleshoot Mechanical Problems
Basic plumbing and soldering knowledge
Basic knowledge of CO2 and Freon
Basic knowledge of moving tools and equipment
Customer Service skills- resolving customer issues. ensuring appropriate communication with customers and following up on customer requests
Required to manage expense reports and travel budgets.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting 50-75 lbs with or without assistance
Climbing up to 8 ft with ladder. Working on roofs of building will be required
Extensive driving 5-6 hours/day
Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling
Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet conditions
Will need to be able to travel for overnight and multiple day job assignments.

SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting with the prioritization of the workflow throughout the distribution center in order to meet business needs. The Wave Planner will also aid in wave planning, coordinating orders with customer service, operations and transportation, tracking the progress of waves, releasing work to the floor, and maintaining and open line of communication with the operations management team as well as assist in making and clearly communicating key business decisions. Must closely monitor, through the warehouse management system, wave status to prevent bottlenecks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, analyze, modify and execute the Wave Plan to predetermine ship schedules are met for all customers while maintaining a level workload of activity across all shifts
Completes the waves in warehouse management system to include fixing wave shortages
Completing and sending out hourly report and final report
Prioritize daily schedule and create reports as needed to monitor, track and measure performance at all levels
Work closely with Transportation and Customer Service teams to evaluate truck loads, fill expedite request, and/or change routing
Works closely with inventory teams to ensure inventory integrity when replacement product is needed to fill order
Translate projected order forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into outbound production plan with a time-phased output driven by customer required date
Work effectively with both ERP and WMS systems to ensure effective order prioritization
Calculate order processing lead times based on staffing levels, order mix, VAS requirements, and order required dates
Measure and monitor capacity
Resolve rejected orders created through the waving process in a timely manner to ensure orders do not age as a result of the rejection
Waving territory and international shipments, and assisting with customs documentation and label creation and use of multiple systems (WMS, NAV/ERP, Agile).
Keeps work area in order and readily participates in housekeeping duties
Supports and maintains a safe workplace, including observing all safety rules
All other duties as assigned
Education and Work Experience:
High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
The person should have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a wave planner in a dynamic distribution environment
Ability to apply basic calculations as related to quantities of product picked
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
Must possess visual acuity to read labels, RF scanners and to maneuver throughout facility
Good interpersonal skills with emphasis on ability to work in a team environment
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems in situations where only limited standardization exists
Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality
Meets productivity standards; completes work in timely manner; strives to increase productivity

Reporting to the Channel Business Development Manager - Parts, the Channel Development Lead builds, maintains, and expands relationships with internal and external partners to support growth in the aftermarket parts sales business. The main objective for the Channel Development Lead is to drive increased parts sales revenue while maintaining or growing margin leveraging external distribution channels. The Channel Development Lead is responsible for achieving sales, profitability, and other sales objectives. The Channel Development Lead supports the entire range of aftermarket service parts sales and customer segments to drive growth through defined channels.
This position will require a high-energy, results driven individual that is equipped to take on growth initiatives for the Hobart Service Parts division, develop strategic business plans, and oversee performance and productivity of defined channels to achieve results. Applicants must have proven ability to perform in an environment that supports shared risk-taking, along with the ability to influence business partners and drive accountability through contractual requirements, processes, and relationship building. This individual will drive and motivate distribution partners to establish and implement parts sales growth initiatives, and is responsible for developing, proposing, and implementing strategic partnerships in support of the Food Equipment Group and Division's revenue growth objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The FEG Parts business is positioned for strong market growth. The Channel Development Lead will be responsible for supporting and executing revenue growth plans to significantly increase the ITW/FEG parts market penetration. This leader is responsible for profitable revenue growth through existing and new channels utilizing the ITW 80/20 and Front-To-Back (FTB) methodologies. This is a critical role for the parts business and is responsible to provide business results to achieve annual revenue growth. Key deliverables for the Channel Development Lead are:
Drive Revenue Growth: Responsible for creation and implementation of business development objectives and strategies. Support the development and track performance metrics for sales channels to create focus and drive continuous improvement. Support service parts financial planning and monthly orders and shipments outlook. Achieve outlook for sales and margin goals. Partners with channel partners to develop relevant, timely and successful sales plans, campaigns, programs, and special promotions to drive parts revenue growth.
Drive Strategic Channel Management: Manages joint partner planning processes, developing mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship. Effectively grow the service parts channel network to influence part demand and support business growth with a focus in marketing, training, and product specification. Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis. Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet partners' performance objectives and expectations. Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives for distribution partners. Manage potential channel conflict by driving excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to sales channel rules of engagement. Maintain face-to-the-customer contact to support the distribution network with product, process, promotions, and training.
Provide a positive customer service experience for Hobart Parts channel partners: Develop and nurture relationships with channel partners and key customers, establishing productive, professional relationships with key personnel. Ensure appropriate resources are available to provide world-class support to channel partners, aligning with changing requirements and market trends. Develop, recommend, and implement process and system enhancements designed to streamline distribution performance and capability with focus on continuous improvement.
Develop and Maintain Distribution Market and Industry Analysis: Support research initiatives to better understand parts competitiveness, market share, and distributor/dealer performance helping to influence development of future products and services and business growth. Effectively research market and industry trends providing critical intelligence for strategic planning. Support the development of a Total Market Potential Model to understand overall market size and available -white space- to grow parts sales within the distribution channel. Develop voice-of-the-customer (VOC) feedback process for channel partners to prioritize tactical and strategic initiatives driving customer focused solutions.
Education and Work Experience
A Bachelor's degree with a minimum 5 years of marketing and sales leadership experience.
Desired Education/Experience
Master's in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred, but not required.

SUMMARY
Hobart Service is looking for an experienced Customer Service Specialist. This position is critical to the ongoing success and growth to the heart of our business. The Customer Service Specialist conducts administrative work performed in the local branch including, but not limited to: Accounts Receivable, Accounts payable, vacation tracking and absences, dispatching, providing outstanding customer service, and working with both service and parts departments. Understand 3rd Party Companies/technology platforms utilized by our key accounts to oversee proper procedures are being followed
Perform office management functions as necessary, such as assisting with tracking of consignment, assisting walk-in customers, handling phone calls for supervisor, etc.
Determine competitive pricing strategies to gain market share and achieve revenue goals.

Design, develop, and author interactive and engaging instructional materials with assessments and simulations using a variety of tools and applications to include, audio, video, animation, narrated presentations, podcasts, webcasts, simulations, and virtual learning environments.
Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions and use evaluation data to support the learning and development continuous improvement process. Track and trend training/qualification performance.
Consults with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify job tasks and knowledge/performance gaps.
Recommend designs and develop creative learning solutions that include, but are not limited to, classroom training, eLearning and blended learning solutions.
Be knowledgeable in the areas of course design, virtual learning environments, course management, and evaluation systems.
Designs and develops print materials including participant/facilitator guides and job aids.
Ensure all instruction and training operations demonstrate safe practices.

At least 2-4 years' experience in multi-media authoring/production.
At least 2 years' experience in the creation of training programs for the maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical, or electronic equipment.
Knowledge of Instructional System Design methodologies used in technical course and curriculum development to other developers.
Working knowledge of multi-media interactive authoring software. Experience with Captivate, Storyline, Creative Suite, or related software highly desired.
Expertise in working with a Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Experience in video production and video post-production desired.

The primary responsibility of this position is to setup and operate multi-blade slitting machines to cut and wind large rolls of ink-coated polypropylene or polyester film into smaller rolls as determined by customer specification. Operators are also responsible for quality testing, material handling, data entry and packing duties.

Position Summary:

Position Summary:
Utilize inspection processes and tools to ensure the quality of assembled products and associated components. Run precision measurement equipment and programs to verify part conformity. Track analyze and report on materials, processes and products to ensure adherence to quality standards and expectations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate Quality's role in the Supplied Part Approval Process:
Provide quality-related input during Print Reviews
Perform first article and production batch inspections
Create and maintain Methods of Inspection documentation
Approve supplier QA/QC plans, Gage R&Rs, capability studies
Maintain approval records and communicate results
Lead the resolution of issues relating to nonconforming parts
Work with the Assembly and Engineering teams to diagnose and resolve issues with products, fixtures, and components using root cause analysis and inspection skills to verify dimensional conformance.
Work with Sourcing and Suppliers to resolve component issues, coordinate the prompt disposition and processing of nonconforming parts.
Consistently maintain MRB items and debit memos with reconciliation.
Support the Quality Management System by maintaining all quality-related records and following the procedures necessary to maintain ISO certification.
Inspect and test parts, assemblies and products using CMM and other metrology equipment such (i.e. go/no-go gauges, calipers, spring tester, hardness tester, Micro-Vu optical comparator, etc.).
Design fixtures and methods of stabilizing parts for Micro-Vu and CMM inspections.
Assess supplier PPAPs and MOI documentation for parts and assemblies.
Participate in process audits quality planning and continuous improvement activities.
Observe all safety policies and procedures and participate in the safety program.
Actively seek opportunities to apply ITW Principles of 80/20, PLS, In-Lining, and USa to simplify processes and improve quality.
Execute annual calibration plan for metrology equipment.

Requirements:

Primary Objective:
To apply knowledge and skills of strain gage based transducer theory, operation, construction, testing and measurement to the development, manufacture, and troubleshooting of MTS transducers. An individual will be focused in manufacturing oriented activities.
Major Areas of Accountability:
Manufacture and perform functional tests on standard and custom strain gauge based transducers utilizing engineering prints, work instructions and standard department procedures.
Utilize resources to troubleshoot and solve problems in manufacture caused by design, documentation, processes, materials, and equipment. These resources include, but are not limited to:
Knowledge

Literature
Production Team Lead (PTL)
Manufacturing Engineer or Engineer(s)
Maintain manufacturing records and process documentation.
Transducer-specific manufacturing records (database)
Process instructions
Identify changes to engineering prints
Provide technical support in new product development and continuing improvement projects.
Build prototypes with limited documentation
Resolve technical issues as appropriate for the project, i.e. layout, wiring, fixtures, etc.
Determine processes and techniques to maximize quality, accuracy, and efficiency
Recommend fixtures and assist in their design
Identify process and equipment constraints, recommend and implement solutions
Estimate operation times
Design, manage, perform and document strain gauge and transducer related engineering experiments.
Provide technical support to other departments.
Special strain gauging or calibration projects
Prototype products
Strain gauge and various transducer training
Associates degree or 2 yr Vo-Tech certificate or equivalent military training in Electronics/Mechanics/Hydraulics OR 4 yrs assembly or technical experience in the above including soldering & small-scale or precision assemblies.
Must understand & apply basic electro-mechanical technologies

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and leading the talent acquisition strategy and initiatives to support the growth of the company. Position will drive the staffing activity of the company, including internal, external and college recruiting and lead the talent acquisition team. Create value by anticipating and responding to market trends and opportunities. Translates goals and objectives into action plans and results.
Develop local recruitment and placement policies and procedures including strategies and selection techniques to identify, attract, and hire exceptional employees.
Manage and maintain annual talent acquisition budget.
Provides leadership to talent acquisition specialists. Collaborates across all HR functions to provide talent and establish and refine processes.
Select, appoint, and manage compliance programs and third-party vendors. Manage supplier relationships and ensure vendor performance metrics are appropriate.
Establish processes to identify current and future workforce and talent needs aligned to strategy.
Lead external branding efforts to position MTS as a premier employer for exceptional talent.
Manage special projects in Talent Acquisition, locally and globally. Maintain talent acquisition metrics, delivering information to leadership.
Ensure compliance with all local government laws and regulations.
Responsible for the on-going management and development of assigned employees. Determines staffing and skill requirements to meet departmental needs and implements plans to satisfy those requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
7 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of managing third-party vendors
3 years of management experience
3 years working in a global environment
3 years of experience in the design and implementation of recruiting metrics; dashboard, scorecard, and/or other recruiting performance measurement tools
PHR or SPHR
Thorough understanding of traditional and cutting-edge sourcing strategies and methodologies including utilization of social media to recruit and expand employment brand
Proven advance knowledge and application of HR practices, principles, applicable laws, and regulations.

Plan and perform a wide variety of duties to machine, form, weld, assemble, test and modify various parts and components for food machines and assist in related new product development duties as assigned.
Work from prints, specifications, sketches, written and verbal instructions and own knowledge. Use a variety of common hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers and precision measuring instruments, Vernier calipers, micrometers and dial indicators. Operate lathe, milling machine, drill press, cutoff saws, band saws, and gas or electric welding equipment as required.
Obtain work or instructions and discuss requirements with engineering and other department personnel. Improvise tooling, methods and work set-ups as required for machining, fabrication and assembly of prototype parts and test fixtures.
Select normal range of speeds and feeds to perform machining, welding or fabrication operations. Turn, mill, tap and/or bend and form a variety of various types of sheet steel, aluminum, stainless or bar, rod and plate stock. Create new or rework existing prototype or production parts based on project needs.
Perform assembly and make and adjustments of parts, and components as required. Install interrelated pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical/electronic parts, controls, or accessory equipment to make proper and/or operational arrangement. Conduct or assist in testing as required. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems. Communicate opportunities with engineering and other department personnel through print markups. Remedy problems within scope of assigned responsibilities. Perform re-work, repairs modifications as required.
Coordinate prototype work with outside vendors and machine shops when scope of work exceeds in-house capabilities.
Perform other similar duties as assigned.
Proven safe work habits.
Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
1 to 2 years of trades training, preferably Machinist, or CNC Programming.
Associates degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent trade school training preferred.
Knowledge of advanced shop mathematics, machine shop practices, procedures, and various machine tools.
SolidWorks or other CAD experience is a plus.
Familiar with common welding, fabrication, machining, assembly, testing methods and practices.
Must have the ability to work from prints, specifications, and written and verbal instructions.
