This is a Sacramento, CA based entry-level position under the direction of Install Team Leader and Service Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with equipment installations and maintenance as required. The candidate will assist with the assembly of equipment and inspect for proper operation, uncrating and moving of equipment into position. The individual will be responsible for driving service and delivery truck to the intended destination to deliver or pick up equipment with the use of a lift-gate. Must also assist other Branch employees and Service Technicians as required. Must be willing to work hours as needed.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • High School diploma/GED or related experience

  • 0-1 year minimum experience in related field.

  • Be able to work with mechanical/electrical equipment safely

  • Basic Knowledge of Welding, Hydraulics and/or Electrical Skills

  • Understand How to Troubleshoot Mechanical Problems

  • Basic plumbing and soldering knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of CO2 and Freon

  • Basic knowledge of moving tools and equipment

  • Customer Service skills- resolving customer issues. ensuring appropriate communication with customers and following up on customer requests

  • Required to manage expense reports and travel budgets.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting 50-75 lbs with or without assistance

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assisting with the prioritization of the workflow throughout the distribution center in order to meet business needs. The Wave Planner will also aid in wave planning, coordinating orders with customer service, operations and transportation, tracking the progress of waves, releasing work to the floor, and maintaining and open line of communication with the operations management team as well as assist in making and clearly communicating key business decisions. Must closely monitor, through the warehouse management system, wave status to prevent bottlenecks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, analyze, modify and execute the Wave Plan to predetermine ship schedules are met for all customers while maintaining a level workload of activity across all shifts

  • Completes the waves in warehouse management system to include fixing wave shortages

  • Completing and sending out hourly report and final report

  • Prioritize daily schedule and create reports as needed to monitor, track and measure performance at all levels

  • Work closely with Transportation and Customer Service teams to evaluate truck loads, fill expedite request, and/or change routing

  • Works closely with inventory teams to ensure inventory integrity when replacement product is needed to fill order

  • Translate projected order forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into outbound production plan with a time-phased output driven by customer required date

  • Work effectively with both ERP and WMS systems to ensure effective order prioritization

  • Calculate order processing lead times based on staffing levels, order mix, VAS requirements, and order required dates

  • Measure and monitor capacity

  • Resolve rejected orders created through the waving process in a timely manner to ensure orders do not age as a result of the rejection

  • Waving territory and international shipments, and assisting with customs documentation and label creation and use of multiple systems (WMS, NAV/ERP, Agile).

  • Keeps work area in order and readily participates in housekeeping duties

  • Supports and maintains a safe workplace, including observing all safety rules

  • All other duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency

  • The person should have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a wave planner in a dynamic distribution environment

  • Ability to apply basic calculations as related to quantities of product picked

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions

  • Must possess visual acuity to read labels, RF scanners and to maneuver throughout facility

  • Good interpersonal skills with emphasis on ability to work in a team environment

Reporting to the Channel Business Development Manager - Parts, the Channel Development Lead builds, maintains, and expands relationships with internal and external partners to support growth in the aftermarket parts sales business. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The FEG Parts business is positioned for strong market growth. The Channel Development Lead will be responsible for supporting and executing revenue growth plans to significantly increase the ITW/FEG parts market penetration. This leader is responsible for profitable revenue growth through existing and new channels utilizing the ITW 80/20 and Front-To-Back (FTB) methodologies. This is a critical role for the parts business and is responsible to provide business results to achieve annual revenue growth. Key deliverables for the Channel Development Lead are:

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Responsible for creation and implementation of business development objectives and strategies. Support the development and track performance metrics for sales channels to create focus and drive continuous improvement. Support service parts financial planning and monthly orders and shipments outlook. Achieve outlook for sales and margin goals. Partners with channel partners to develop relevant, timely and successful sales plans, campaigns, programs, and special promotions to drive parts revenue growth.

  • Drive Strategic Channel Management: Manages joint partner planning processes, developing mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship. Effectively grow the service parts channel network to influence part demand and support business growth with a focus in marketing, training, and product specification. Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis. Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet partners' performance objectives and expectations. Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives for distribution partners. Manage potential channel conflict by driving excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to sales channel rules of engagement. Maintain face-to-the-customer contact to support the distribution network with product, process, promotions, and training.

  • Provide a positive customer service experience for Hobart Parts channel partners: Develop and nurture relationships with channel partners and key customers, establishing productive, professional relationships with key personnel. Ensure appropriate resources are available to provide world-class support to channel partners, aligning with changing requirements and market trends. Develop, recommend, and implement process and system enhancements designed to streamline distribution performance and capability with focus on continuous improvement.

  • Develop and Maintain Distribution Market and Industry Analysis: Support research initiatives to better understand parts competitiveness, market share, and distributor/dealer performance helping to influence development of future products and services and business growth. Effectively research market and industry trends providing critical intelligence for strategic planning. Support the development of a Total Market Potential Model to understand overall market size and available -white space- to grow parts sales within the distribution channel. Develop voice-of-the-customer (VOC) feedback process for channel partners to prioritize tactical and strategic initiatives driving customer focused solutions.

Education and Work Experience

A Bachelor's degree with a minimum 5 years of marketing and sales leadership experience.

Master's in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred, but not required.

Due to continued growth, Hobart Service is looking for an experienced Technical Program Developer/Instructional Systems Designer to join the Field Support and Training team.

Under the general direction of the Director of Training, and in direct coordination with the Service Training Manager create/update training programs for the Hobart Service organization. These include but are not limited to self-paced interactive multi-media programs such as Web-based, E-Learning and Blended programs, including programs to facilitate training, product introductions and distance learning applications. In addition, will design and produce programs using CGI, animations, and video /photography to support multi-media production. This position will work with the Service Training and Service Management teams utilizing Instructional System Design (ISD) methodologies to create best in class solutions for our customers training needs. Work with IT and vendors to create evaluations, reports, and analysis of training effectiveness for the organization.

Responsibilities (80% Core Essential Functions)

  • Designs training projects and performs instructional design and development of both blended and self-paced interactive programs taking account of adult learning principles.

  • Uses critical thinking and problem-solving skills; skills in extracting and assimilating chunks of information working them into logical framework, applying principles of behavioral sciences; systematically searching for related information

  • Utilize instructional design principles or models (e.g. ADDIE, ISD, etc.) to effectively develop courses for new and existing training content.

  • Evaluate and provide recommendations on using new instructional technologies, innovative instructional practices, and new course delivery methods.

  • Design, develop, and author interactive and engaging instructional materials with assessments and simulations using a variety of tools and applications to include, audio, video, animation, narrated presentations, podcasts, webcasts, simulations, and virtual learning environments.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions and use evaluation data to support the learning and development continuous improvement process. Track and trend training/qualification performance.

  • Consults with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify job tasks and knowledge/performance gaps.

  • Recommend designs and develop creative learning solutions that include, but are not limited to, classroom training, eLearning and blended learning solutions.

  • Be knowledgeable in the areas of course design, virtual learning environments, course management, and evaluation systems.

  • Designs and develops print materials including participant/facilitator guides and job aids.

  • Ensure all instruction and training operations demonstrate safe practices.

This role provides oversight to the international IT teams and directly manages the North America IT team to identify and maximize opportunities to use technology to improve business processes, promote the appropriate strategic use of information, and enable the workforce to safely use information and technology. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Alignment :

  • Actively participates with business leadership at divisions and segment in strategy development (long range plan, annual plan, etc.).

  • Applies and drives adoption of ITW IT Guiding Principles (80/20), Frameworks, and IT Sourcing Programs to drive lean and effective IT outcomes in the divisions.

  • Influences team and business leaders through collaboration and active communication.

Talent Management

Drive the assessment, development, retention, mentoring and recruitment of IT talent that will help deliver the strategy of the business.

Optimization of the IT organizational structure and development of the team along with leveraging the right outside vendors as needed to drive results now and into the future.

Provides leadership and vision to the IT organization in a matrixed environment.

Security and Compliance

  • Accountable for ensuring divisions comply with the Corporate ITW Cybersecurity Framework.

  • Actively oversees and ensures that cyber security and risk activities are identified, and the resources deployed are appropriate for the risk level for the divisions and segment.

  • Oversight for compliance of digital systems to digital security and regulatory compliance including SOX where appropriate.

Project Management

  • Management of shared services and segment wide IT initiatives by partnering with IT and functional leaders to deliver results.

  • Accountable for successful implementation of all significant systems projects across the segment through direct project management engagement and continued refinement to support business needs (ERPs, digital marketing initiatives, customer portal enhancements, etc.).

  • Ensure IT spend is well managed, communicated and justified.

  • Oversees negotiations and relationships with outside vendors on critical IT projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • 15+ years' progressive experience working in Information Technology with a minimum of 5 years in a strategic leadership role. Experience at a manufacturing or service delivery company is preferred.

  • Prior experience with ERP systems including implementation and production support. Experience managing cyber security programs and presenting risk and risk mitigation strategy across all levels of the organization.

  • Track record of working with executive teams and ability to present complex ideas/situations in a simplified manner.

  • Strong demonstrated ability to lead and influence without authority.

  • Must be adept at collaborating with others to analyze facts and issues, identify options, and decide and/or recommend a course of action. Must know when to compromise and when to be assertive.

  • Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills; good listening skills; a team player who demonstrates the ability to relate to employees at all levels of the Company.

  • 3 years of management experience

  • 3 years working in a global environment

  • 3 years of experience in the design and implementation of recruiting metrics; dashboard, scorecard, and/or other recruiting performance measurement tools

  • PHR or SPHR

  • Thorough understanding of traditional and cutting-edge sourcing strategies and methodologies including utilization of social media to recruit and expand employment brand

  • Proven advance knowledge and application of HR practices, principles, applicable laws, and regulations.

Job Description

Plan and perform a wide variety of duties to machine, form, weld, assemble, test and modify various parts and components for food machines and assist in related new product development duties as assigned.

  • Work from prints, specifications, sketches, written and verbal instructions and own knowledge. Use a variety of common hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers and precision measuring instruments, Vernier calipers, micrometers and dial indicators. Operate lathe, milling machine, drill press, cutoff saws, band saws, and gas or electric welding equipment as required.

  • Obtain work or instructions and discuss requirements with engineering and other department personnel. Improvise tooling, methods and work set-ups as required for machining, fabrication and assembly of prototype parts and test fixtures.

  • Select normal range of speeds and feeds to perform machining, welding or fabrication operations. Turn, mill, tap and/or bend and form a variety of various types of sheet steel, aluminum, stainless or bar, rod and plate stock. Create new or rework existing prototype or production parts based on project needs.

  • Perform assembly and make and adjustments of parts, and components as required. Install interrelated pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical/electronic parts, controls, or accessory equipment to make proper and/or operational arrangement. Conduct or assist in testing as required. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems. Communicate opportunities with engineering and other department personnel through print markups. Remedy problems within scope of assigned responsibilities. Perform re-work, repairs modifications as required.

  • Coordinate prototype work with outside vendors and machine shops when scope of work exceeds in-house capabilities.

  • Perform other similar duties as assigned.

  • Proven safe work habits.

  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience.

  • 1 to 2 years of trades training, preferably Machinist, or CNC Programming.

  • Associates degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent trade school training preferred.

  • Knowledge of advanced shop mathematics, machine shop practices, procedures, and various machine tools.

  • SolidWorks or other CAD experience is a plus.

  • Familiar with common welding, fabrication, machining, assembly, testing methods and practices.

  • Must have the ability to work from prints, specifications, and written and verbal instructions.
