The Building Construction Products (BCP) Division team is comprised of more than 7,000 employees-from assemblers and accountants to marketing professionals and engineers-we work in factories, warehouses, and offices all over the world.

We are responsible for the design, manufacturing, marketing, and support of Caterpillar's line of small, versatile construction machines and attachments for the commercial construction, residential construction, specialty trades, landscaping and agriculture industries. Products include small wheel loaders, compact wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, compact track loaders, mini hydraulic excavators, skid steers loaders, telehandlers, and small track-type tractors.

Job Summary:

BCP is hiring multiple positions to assist in the administration of various human resource services and functions within a facility, Division or Shared Services.

Typical internal customers include the employees at all levels in one or more facilities and/or Divisions.

Develop and recommend solutions to problems of limited scope and complexity and may develop and recommend solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity. The incumbent is challenged to carefully evaluate problems and review a number of possible solutions before selecting one option. Works with process owners and governance Council to ensure correct level of approval is determined for process changes and updated documentation is provided to all service centers.

In a division or facility setting, the job functions could include some or all of the following:

• New employee orientation.

• Liaise with Regional and Corporate Human Resources.

• Interact with and counsel all levels of management, salaried & hourly employees, to assist and resolve a wide variety of personnel, wage/salary and benefit related issues.

Interface with Corporate Human Resources, Compensation + Benefit and Payroll personnel to assist in the administration and support of employee issues and problems in some or all of the following areas:

• Performance Management Process.

• Communication of human resources related material.

• Employee Insights Survey analysis and communication.

• Annual Succession Career Planning process.

• Performance of duties associated with Governmental regulations and internal investigations.

• Administration of payroll, salary administration, time and attendance and Workday related activities.

This position serves as a liaison between the process owner and the service center groups, Corporate Human Resources, Compensation + Benefit and Payroll personnel to assist in the administration and support of employee issues and problems in some or all of the following areas as well as manage process changes, new processes and new customers:

This position is a Category Buyer for procurement of Marketing Services in North America. This role is accountable for executing the procurement strategy, managing supplier performance, relationships, and agreements/contracts for Marketing Services category. The Tracked Products Engineering Heavy Structures team is currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer for Large Dozers. The primary focus of this role is on the development of the D9-D11 radiator guards, bottom guards, and rear attachment with opportunity to also work on blades, push arms, and rippers. This position will focus first and foremost on product and process quality with a zero-defect mindset while also trying to hit program timeline and cost goals. The Senior Design Engineer will need strong communication skills and great interpersonal skills to interact with other engineering teams, the platform team, purchasing teams, and manufacturing teams. Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Create design concepts and drawings of complex structural systems that meet functional and technical requirements, cost and weight goals, quality initiatives, and manufacturing process requirements.

• Direct Reports for this position include Distribution Technicians (Material Storage Controllers), Shipping/Receiving Clerks and Analysts as well as team leads for production areas and consists of full time and agency employees.

• Leads team to ensure material availability meets customer needs and facility objectives through timely delivery of material from internal and external suppliers to both Machine Shop and Assembly production areas.

• Responsible for packaging and shipping processes for outbound parts orders

• Accountable for identification of distribution quality issues (handling damages, proper packaging, correct part number/quantity, etc) as well as feedback process with supplier/warehouse to implement corrective actions.

• Ensures the execution of ordering, storage and presentation of materials to point-of-use, and is accountable for identifying and driving process improvements with teams scope

• This role will utilize strong communication skills as it will build relationships and interface daily with the entire Value Chain including suppliers, Purchasing, operations management in both Assembly and the Machine Shop, Engineers and Engineering managers, Business Resources, Releasing Analysts, Warehousing personnel (internal and external) and other Supply Chain functions.

• Incumbent will utilize various systems that drive material planning, supplier management and material tracking functions including MRP, LOGNET, MRC, Power BI, MTS, and Use of internal and external freight tracking systems may also be required.

• Accountable for tracking and timely resolution of receiving/shipping grief.

• Responsible to lead direct reports through Career Development planning including Career Path mapping, training and opportunities for professional and personal development.

• Formally evaluate performance of direct reports through mid-year and year end evaluation process and address all personnel issues.

• Incumbent will lead the selection process of both full time and agency employees as required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors' degree and 3 years of Supply Chain experience OR 5 years of supervisory experience in a Logistics, Distribution, or Supply Chain related environment.

The Large Power Systems Division in Lafayette, IN has an opening for a Material Requirements Planning Supervisor . Primary responsibility is to supervise a team of Distribution Technicians, and Shipping/Receiving Clerks and Analysts within the Logistics/Distribution Team in the execution of material planning/ordering from Warehouses to POU, outbound parts order fulfillment and inbound material logistics functions ensuring material availability. Responsible for team performance related to timely receiving and shipping as well as supplier collaboration to improve overall service to internal/external customers.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Direct Reports for this position include Distribution Technicians (Material Storage Controllers), Shipping/Receiving Clerks and Analysts as well as team leads for production areas and consists of full time and agency employees.

• Leads team to ensure material availability meets customer needs and facility objectives through timely delivery of material from internal and external suppliers to both Machine Shop and Assembly production areas.

• Responsible for packaging and shipping processes for outbound parts orders

• Accountable for identification of distribution quality issues (handling damages, proper packaging, correct part number/quantity, etc) as well as feedback process with supplier/warehouse to implement corrective actions.

• Ensures the execution of ordering, storage and presentation of materials to point-of-use, and is accountable for identifying and driving process improvements with teams scope

• This role will utilize strong communication skills as it will build relationships and interface daily with the entire Value Chain including suppliers, Purchasing, operations management in both Assembly and the Machine Shop, Engineers and Engineering managers, Business Resources, Releasing Analysts, Warehousing personnel (internal and external) and other Supply Chain functions.

• Incumbent will utilize various systems that drive material planning, supplier management and material tracking functions including MRP, LOGNET, MRC, Power BI, MTS, and Use of internal and external freight tracking systems may also be required.

• Accountable for tracking and timely resolution of receiving/shipping grief.

• Responsible to lead direct reports through Career Development planning including Career Path mapping, training and opportunities for professional and personal development.

• Formally evaluate performance of direct reports through mid-year and year end evaluation process and address all personnel issues.

• Incumbent will lead the selection process of both full time and agency employees as required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors' degree and 3 years of Supply Chain experience OR 5 years of supervisory experience in a Logistics, Distribution, or Supply Chain related environment.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service focus

• Knowledge/understanding of 6 Sigma project management principles.

• Ability to work independently with minimal direction

The Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) has an opening for a Senior Engineer. This position is for a certification engineer with responsibility for emissions certification across rail, marine and genset diesel applications.

The candidate will interface with many organizations within Caterpillar and Progress Rail (a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar), including product application, engine engineering, engine test, as well as outside regulatory agencies to execute certification activities. Certification Engineers also provide vital technical support to product groups during emissions development within engine programs. The candidate will participate in review of emissions regulations and develop new processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
