Description
Provide communications consultation and support on a variety of internal and/or external assignments for Caterpillar's IT division. The incumbent is becoming effective as a practitioner, growing the skills sets needed to take on more of a strategic role.
Duties
The incumbent provides communications assistance within the department in the development and production of communication deliverables at the corporate and/or business unit level. The incumbent in this job prepares to take on the role of a more senior communications representative position and will gain an understanding of customer needs. The incumbent assists in the development of organizational change management (OCM) and communication strategies and provides communications consulting to customers, including the cybersecurity awareness team and IT project teams implementing changes impacting end users across the enterprise. The incumbent is familiar with the company's processes, systems and methodologies. Decisions made by this position are less routine and with intermediate risk issues. Challenges include meeting expectations in delivering results, considering alternative courses of actions, making timely decisions, and continuing to build communication skills.
The position also owns or is responsible for communication vehicles, including newsletters, websites, videos/streaming media, etc. The incumbent also manages several non-repeating projects, both internally and externally, through completion.
Typical internal customers include various contacts throughout the enterprise.
The supervisor/manager typically directs the work of the incumbent. The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others. Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, etc.

The Core Autonomy Team has responsibility for delivering operator assist, semi-autonomous, and autonomous technology for mining and construction machines around the world. As a Perception Architect you are responsible for developing automation technologies, which are often used in conjunction with information systems, remote control, semi autonomous, and fully autonomous machine control systems. In this role you will focus on the development and application of perception technology that integrates with perception sensors such as cameras, lidars, radars etc.
Job Duties
Working with Technical Strategists to lead perception development at Caterpillar
Solving Perception problems and decomposing them for the team to deliver
Writing code
Working with the team to manage architecture, software and deliverables from other internal and external teams
Interfacing with other teams to lead requirements discussion be it for a component such as lidar or what data do we need to collect for a machine application
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Computer vision, Robotics, Mathematics or related field
Minimum 10 years experience in the robotics field
Very strong hands-on programming skills in C, C++ and experience in Object Oriented Development

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Oversee management of inventory (FIFO)
Accountable for tracking quality metrics and meeting Safety, Quality, and Velocity goals in work group

Dealer Financial Analysis/Financial Health:
Analyzes confidential financial reports and evaluates the financial strength in assigned region(s). Along with the Finance Manager, assists dealers in financial planning, credit and collections, accounting, cash management, etc. Reports financial trends and problem areas affecting dealer performance and recommends solutions to the dealer, Region Finance, District and Region Managers
Asset Management:
Manages company receivables and administers payment policy to minimize past dues. Assists dealers in confidential continuity planning to analyze the financial impact on the dealership when transitioned to new owner. Analyzes and evaluates proposals submitted by prospective dealer candidates and make recommendations relative to acceptability
Financial Institution Relationship:
Provides assistance to dealers in obtaining affordable financing and flexible credit line arrangements from financial institutions. Analyzes existing lending agreements and participates in negotiations with the dealers and their lenders for mutually acceptable legal documentation to protect company assets
Projects and Supporting Role:
Leads/participates in projects to enhance/automate current dealer financial reporting and analysis. Provides valuables insights to business partners for better decision-making
Other Governance:
Monitors compliance to Dealer Finance Procedures, Sarbanes Oxley Act and Treasury Letters

Contacts customers to discuss and ultimately finalize the sale or return of equipment on finance leases (excluding operating leases). As a Supply Network Specialist II, you are required to provide procurement support to supervisors and manager on all purchasing, logistics and material related matters.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Provides support to Commodity Buyers and Procurement Manager on all purchasing, logistics and material related matters. This includes long term planning with suppliers on a worldwide basis (supplier alliance), participating as a member/leader of commodity teams, Business Teams, Cost Owner Teams, analyzing/resolving quality problems (internal/external, inbound/outbound), interfacing with corporate and other facilities on matters related to computer systems, providing guidance and support for salaried and hourly personnel

Participates in the NPI (New Product Introduction) process and makes recommendations on when new product should be introduced, what changes can be made to existing or new product being designed to lower costs, ways to increase quality and responsiveness to customers, etc. Develops common objectives supporting Product Group cost, quality and on-time introduction of NPI
Basic Qualifications:

As a Senior Parts Order Analyst, you willprovide excellent customer service for external customer and internal needs. This includes managing the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) system, which is the external customer ordering system. To manage customer inquiries throughout North America in regard to availability, complaints and special needs. Internally position is voice of the customer to operations and provides reporting to management members.
