Position summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented Architect with a minimum of 10 years of experience who is interested in taking an important role in the JMT Architecture group. This position will focus primarily on Federal and Department of Defense projects and clients but may include airfield/airport and transportation/transit projects. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with internal and external clients, demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, and possess the ability to manage multiple projects at one time. As this is a growth area within our organization, the leadership within JMT is committed to assisting with both business development and expansion of the Federal Government Projects group as well as providing the team with the support necessary to enhance their marketing tools, skills, and capabilities.
The candidate will be responsible for performing all phases of architectural work from site and building evaluations and conceptual design through construction administration. Prime technical skills will include a working knowledge of and the demonstrated ability to create construction documents in accordance with the federal Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), GSA P100 Facilities Standards for the Public Buildings Service, as well as building and life safety codes. The candidate should have experience in creating and editing SpecIntact specifications and the utilization of UFC CAD/BIM standard. Lead project teams in development of the aesthetic and technical design and preparation of architectural design and construction documents

Coordinate, prepare, and review standard government form proposals, expressions of interest, technical proposals, and presentations.
Coordinate all phases of the pursuit process from kick-off meeting to production and delivery and proposal closeout.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Coordinate, prepare, and review standard government form proposals, expressions of interest, technical proposals, and presentations.
Coordinate all phases of the pursuit process from kick-off meeting to production and delivery and proposal closeout.
Develop pursuit outlines.
Participate in pre-proposal meetings, kick-off meetings, debriefings, etc.

Generates reports for technical staff on marketing efforts, when required.

The Traffic Data Collection Field Manager is responsible for managing a team of data collection staff. The manager will be responsible for setting up count equipment in the field. Types of data collection include turning movement counts, portable counts, pedestrian and bicycle counts and various traffic studies. Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Inspections of transportation structures (bridges, retaining walls and culverts) may be required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required, as needed.

A career-minded Water/Wastewater Design Engineer, looking for growth and advancement, is needed to join JMT's fast growing water/wastewater consultant engineering practice. The selected candidate will work with a team of experienced project managers and professional engineers working on exciting water distribution / transmission, wastewater conveyance and rehabilitation, and facility designs. Job Responsibilities include:
Work closely with senior engineers to develop construction plans and specifications for various design projects
Assist with development of technical evaluation memoranda
Assist with development of regulatory permitting packages
Prepare engineering cost estimates
Prepare design drawings using CAD and 3D design tools
Review construction material submittals and perform occasional site inspections
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
Candidates must have the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-production office environment, build successful team relationships and maintain positive coworker interactions.
Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with civil engineering principles, hydraulic designs, water and wastewater treatment process design, engineering economics, preparation of specifications and engineering report writing.
The water/wastewater engineer must demonstrate organized practices, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have flexibility to support time-critical report development and production in order to meet demanding schedules.
Required Experience
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering by December 2021, is required.
A passing grade on the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering exam is preferred.

Strong computer skills are required: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, ArcGIS, and MS Project are a plus.

Design responsibilities and task management

Developing scopes of work, developing conceptual designs and preliminary engineering studies, conceiving and implementing field investigation programs, as well as coordination of design disciplines in final design projects
Construction phase engineering services
