The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville (HNC) is designated and responsible for maintaining Electronic Security Systems Mandatory Center of Expertise (ESS-MCX). As such, the ESS-MCX provides world-wide support to the Department of Defense (DoD), other customers in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) commands, and non-DoD agencies to deliver the highest quality ESS projects.
Services provided include planning,engineering, procurement, installation, testing, maintenance for ESS and other related systems as the required. Electronic Security Systems (ESS); physical security and/or force protection measures; automated control systems such as Building Automation Systems (BAS), Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), life safety systems, chemical/ biological/radiological detection/response systems, and Mass Notification Systems (MNS); and other related electronic systems.
In this role, you will:
Provide technical and managerial assistance on all aspects of project management from inception through completion, including engineering, procurement, installation, testing, monitoring, maintenance and service for ESS and related systems on Army bases worldwide.
Manage project(s) and related task orders for customer(s) with revenue ranging from $3 - $15M.
Conduct cost management through continual cost control and review.
Have business development and budgetary responsibilities.
Provide expertise to customers to ensure resolution of issues.
Typically manage a team of 20 or more employees.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
At least ten (10) years of relevant experience in the ESS technology field, including five (5) years of experience in a management or supervisory capacity and five (5) years in the functional area of Army ESS
An active DoD Secret level clearance
A current PMP certification
Ability to travel up to 10% CONUS/OCONUS
A valid US Passport

Position Description
Serco is seeking a Senior Marine Engineer to support several naval and commercial marine acquisition and modernization programs as well as a number of exciting R&D programs. This candidate leads in the planning, design, and execution of ship construction program deliverables to ensure requirements are defined and met according to specifications. Develops and improves design features and is considered as a subject matter expert (SME) in piping and auxiliary machinery systems and as resource for resolution of unique or complex problems. Provides advice and counsel to less experienced engineers and plays a role in overall design and task execution planning.
This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a secret level clearance
In this role, you will:
Design and oversee testing, installation, and repair of complex marine apparatus and equipment. Determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted, as well as sequences and phases of test operations.
Conduct analytical, environmental, operational, or performance studies in order to develop designs for products, such as marine engines, equipment, and structures. Conduct environmental, operational, or performance tests on marine machinery and equipment
Direct the preparation of product or system layouts and detailed drawings and schematics. Prepare plans, estimates, design and construction schedules, and contract specifications, including any special provisions.
Evaluate operation of marine equipment during acceptance testing and shakedown cruises.
Analyze data in order to determine feasibility of product proposals.
Confer with research personnel to clarify or resolve problems, and to develop or modify designs.
Lead in the inspection marine equipment and machinery in order to draw up work requests and job specifications.
Review work requests and compare them with previous work completed on ships to ensure that costs are economically sound.
Maintain contact with, and formulate reports for, contractors and clients in order to ensure completion of work at minimum cost. Coordinate activities with regulatory bodies in order to ensure repairs and alterations are at minimum cost, consistent with safety.
Perform monitoring activities in order to ensure that ships comply with international regulations and standards for life saving equipment and pollution preventatives.
Provide technical and theoretical guidance recommendations to other senior marine engineering staff and support to lower-level staff.
Lead and/or participate in meetings with other marine engineers and customers on ship design issues.
Prepare documentation, reports, and project plans to describe activities planned and accomplished, status reports, letters, memoranda, messages, and contact reports.
Prepare and present formal briefings and staff seminars.
Comply with security procedures in the performance of duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering
10 years of related and progressive experience in Maritime Operations or Engineering. ( In rare circumstances, education and/or experience requirements may be decreased or waived if the individual has an extraordinary educational background or uniquely applicable experience or highly specialized knowledge. )
Must Qualify for, or currently possess, DoD Issued Secret Security Clearance.
Active or Inactive Chief Engineer License
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of marine craft.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Knowledge of government or other contracting environment relating to technical, scientific, and analytic services.
Ability to integrate diverse elements into a cohesive whole.
Shipboard sailing experience is a plus.

As a Naval Architecture Graduate Associate, you will support our Maritime Engineering, Technology & Sustainment (METS) Business Unit which is responsible for industry-leading capabilities in naval ship and submarine design, systems and engineering services, and production support, logistics and in-service sustainment. This complements Serco's other engineering capabilities in shipboard, shore and systems installation and upgrade services to the Navy.
You will join a team that is responsible for a multitude of various design efforts on a multitude of different vessels, on the many different US Navy Programs and Contracts, as well as commercial vessels and systems. In your role, you will be utilizing a variety of different tools and software programs to perform analyses and design studies, possibly involving ship hull structure and/or ship components. You will also assist in preparation of reports to describe analysis and design efforts, being responsible for summarizing results of simulations and design efforts for customers and higher authorities.

As a Senior Manpower Navy Analyst, you will be supporting the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) Air Warfare Division through all phases of naval aviation manpower resource management in Arlington, VA.
Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their OPNAV N98 Training and Manpower Support contract. Our team directly supports the OPNAV N98 staff with administrative and manpower/training analytical subject matter experts.
You will be part of a 13-member team that works closely with the customer, on-site at the Pentagon to deliver quality resourcing analysis. The team has been recognized by the Navy and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program.
In this role you will:
Provide services support to Flag Officer/SES level leadership on strategic manpower related issues such as analyzing requirements and resourcing courses of action, impact of manpower related decisions across the N98 portfolio, and interaction with other OPNAV offices
Develop options for government leadership on manpower related topics such as balancing actions, COA generation, Flag level briefings and presentations, and internal guidance and policy development
Provide analysis on manpower and resource requirements to include PBIS issue development and entry, Intelligent Workbook entries, and costing drills
Qualifications

Serco's Employee Relations Specialist is a key member of the Employee Relations Center of Excellence. You will act as a trusted adviser to resolve challenging issues including complex investigations, conflict resolution and other ER concerns. This role will partner, as needed, with HRBPs, Legal, HR Operations, Security and others to analyze, diagnose and resolve Employee Relations issues in an efficient and effective manner, and provide guidance, counselling and training to managers and employees for policy interpretation and sensitive work-related issues.
In this role you will:
Conduct internal investigations related to EEO concerns and potential code of conduct violations.
Partner with managers and employees to facility positive interactions and effective outcomes arising from ER investigations
Collaborate cross functionally with division leaders, Legal and HR to resolve ER cases and sustain positive employee relations.
Provide detailed case management documentation, executive summaries and time-lines clearly written and with well-rounded recommended outcomes.
Maintain thorough understanding of Serco's HR policies/procedures and relevant employment and labor laws to ensure equitable and consistent resolution of cases.
Engage and execute on projects across Corporate functions where ER expertise and input is required.
Assist in the support of the pilot processes, provide input on metrics, standardization of processes and overall HR quality improvements.
Some travel to company locations and client sites may be required (expected to not exceed 10-15%)
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
Highly accountable ER professional with case management system experience handling complex employee relations issues autonomously from initial contact through resolution.
Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write cohesive emails, summaries and investigations plans/reports.
Ability to build collaborative working relationships and be a conscientious, trusted adviser with employees at all levels, geographies (including international locations), and divisions of the organization.
Ability to handle complex and emotionally charged issues with maturity and composure, addressing situations objectively and without bias.
Passionate about making things better, e.g. improving processes, reducing/removing inefficiencies.
Ability to analyze data, create reports and use system analytics to dig into root cause analyses.
5+ years of related experience - ideally focused on Employee Relations, employment law, or HR Business partner/generalist experiences.
Experience using a case management system and accountability for detailed, documented investigations.
Experience building and using metrics to identify employee relations trends.
Background in HR, Employment Law, or Business.
Bachelor's degree in relevant field (or equivalent years of experience). HR certification (SPHR, etc.) preferred

Research, recruit, and onboard federal, for profit and nonprofits partner organizations into MSEP
Build and maintain relationships with federal, profit and nonprofit organizations, government representatives and external stakeholders
Support event coordination for annual partner event to include collecting and tracking partner registrations, participate in all planning calls, assisting in development of event theme and topics for speakers
Assist with partner agency data reporting processes

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
At a minimum, a bachelor's degree in a field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Operations, Professional Development or related field.
At least three (3) years of experience working with Event Management, Partner Relations, Partner Recruitment, Operational Management, Specialist and/or experience in military programing, partner acquisition, Operations Management related to the job description list above.
At least two (2) years of experience as a Workforce Solutions or HR Specialist.
At least five (5) years of supervisory experience (remote team support is a plus).
Four (4) years of military program or corporate experience
Experience in education, career, human resources, partnership development or employment counseling.
Knowledge of the mobile military culture and lifestyle
Must be a United States (US) Citizen.
Must be able to obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NACI) (Desired - Active NACI)
Additional desired experience and skills:
At least five (5) years of experience working with a military or DoD organization(s), knowledge of military lifestyle through personal and/or professional experience - in depth understanding about the military culture and the command structure.
Military leadership experience is a plus.
Articulates understanding of basic evaluation techniques and use of customer feedback to improve overall program effectiveness/impact.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
A Bachelor's Degree.
A minimum of three (3) years' experience in Disability Claims Management.

Experience with complex claims management in a unionized environment.
Demonstrated passion for benefits administration and a working knowledge of benefits regulations.
Experience skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) with demonstrated experience with relational databases.

Provide detailed case management documentation, executive summaries and time-lines clearly written and with well-rounded recommended outcomes.

Qualifications

Ability to build collaborative working relationships and be a conscientious, trusted adviser with employees at all levels, geographies (including international locations), and divisions of the organization.
Ability to handle complex and emotionally charged issues with maturity and composure, addressing situations objectively and without bias.
Passionate about making things better, e.g., improving processes, reducing/removing inefficiencies.
Ability to analyze data, create reports and use system analytics to dig into root cause analyses.

Establish and maintain routine communications with partner points of contact via telephone, webinars, briefings, events and email

Position Description

This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer a TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
This position is contingent upon customer requirements and/or their approval.
In this role, you willpossess the following capabilities:
Software Systems Engineer with a focus on architecture and engineering tradecraft documentation to include: HW modeling, system power and bring-up sequences, state degradation diagrams, reliability and availability block diagrams, telemetry data flow and collection requirements, interdependency and HW/FW/SW relationship diagrams.
Must utilize systems engineering experience in carrying out functions, including configuration and resource management, quality assurance, and physical and software integration, acquisition, and testing.
Must contribute to the development of System Engineering plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specification, and Interface Control Documents.
Will also need to record and display internally developed solutions through development of deep-dive documents, flow charts, layout, as well as diagrams.
Qualification must include: BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related subject.
Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Unix/Linux based environments, Solid network knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
U.S. Citizenship.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related subject.
10-12 years of demonstrated experience.
Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Unix/Linux based environments, Solid network knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
