As the Junior Forum Coordinator , you will be part of a dynamic team supporting major systems acquisition, research, and engineering on behalf of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make a positive impact on the security of our nation.
Customer and Mission: Serco has engineering and program management contracts supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Support for this OSD customer will involve providing regional and global planning/exercise support to maximize strategic alignment of OSD and Defense Agency capabilities against the needs of the current operating environment in planning, exercises, doctrine, strategy, and opportunity analysis for the Agency, Combatant Commands (CCMD), and other DoD components, in coordination with interagency and international partners, while enhancing mission readiness through collective staff training.
Team and Management Information: You will be part of a team responsible for highly consequential engagements with stakeholders impacting national security and the defense capabilities of the United States. You will collaborate closely with customers and other Serco teams to deliver quality solutions recognized by DoD and industry as outstanding contributions in engineering program and risk management across the Defense enterprise.
In this position you will:
Participate in the planning, and implementation of conferences, workshops, meetings, and forums whether in-person or virtual.
Coordinate all aspects desired meetings in accordance with internal or external customer specifications.
Assist in selecting and negotiating use of appropriate classified and unclassified venues.
Manage logistical arrangements including as required, including transportation, presentation materials, agendas, biographic materials, and hand-outs.
Coordinate speakers and VIP/guest participation and handle correspondence on all aspects to ensure successful

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
3-5 years of experience related to the job description listed above.
Must have a Bachelor's degree or additional equivalent work experience or Military Service may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
Knowledge of military requirements supporting major initiatives; tactical/operational documentation, military systems design or other efforts requiring military operations expertise.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and writing) skills and have a strong command of the English language.
Must have reliable transportation to the Customer Site
Per Customer approval a modified/Hybrid schedule may be offered.

Work directly with Government counterparts to sequence and plan multiple events throughout the year with special attention to conflict resolution and monitoring expert calendars for opportunities.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Top Secret DoD Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
3+ years of experience related to the job description listed above

Support cutting edge Air Force programs as a member of the dedicated Serco-WBB team at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH! As a Senior Software and Computer Engineer, you will be supporting the Special Programs Division (AFLCMC/WAG) at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. (This is not an EPASS contract).
The Fighters and Advanced Aircraft, Special Programs Division develops, tests, and rapidly fields classified Air Force aeronautical capabilities. AFLCMC/WAG conducts studies to identify new capabilities; transitions laboratory technologies to operational platforms; executes demonstrations; and develops, tests, and rapidly fields new capabilities for the warfighter.
In this role, you will be providing bold and innovative computer engineering solutions on multiple programs by working with labs, test organizations, operational users, prime contractors, and subcontractors. In this role, you will:
Develop software and computer engineering strategies in support of the acquisition, development, and sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment
Assess the interfaces and interaction of a computer system's software, firmware, and hardware Includes real-time operating systems and embedded processing for mission or safety applications
Actively participate in software-centric technical reviews and transitioning efforts from traditional methodologies to Agile and continuous delivery
Design workflows and production processes for software capabilities
Translate user requirements into system requirements
Conduct assessments of DoD contractor software deliveries for aircraft / test equipment
Analyze software performance deficiencies; make recommendations for corrective action
Audit DoD contractors for software configuration and control measures and verify appropriate quality accreditation
Evaluate contractor proposed design changes and solutions, perform systems analyses and technological/trade-off study assessments
Review the system design software architecture and interoperability requirements
Evaluate system test plans for software and participate in the conduct of system, subsystem, and component testing; review and analyze test data; make recommendations
Assess communication bus architectures, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), and firmware & hardware layer development
Support development and review of program and contract documentation
Conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A current TOP SECRET security clearance with Background Investigation within the last six years or on Continuous Evaluation. Eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
12 years of relevant DoD, Aerospace, or Defense industry work experience (or Master's degree may be substituted for experience)
Additional desired experience and skills:
Special Access Program or SCI experience
Master's Degree in an engineering related field
In-depth knowledge oDoDoD acquisition software and computer engineering support to include software design, integration, configuration, test/evaluation, and certification
Current knowledge of software development methodology and tools to include Agile and continuous delivery

Position Description

The Navy Marine Engineer will support US Navy shipbuilding program office in Pascagoula MS by reviewing and monitoring production efforts and changes for Navy Ships. This position is contigent upon your ability to maintain your current active Secret level clearance.
The successful candidate will be integrated into the Program Office PMR and Production Officer's support team solving production challenges and overseeing changes to HME ship systems for US Navy ships under construction.
In this role, you will:
Monitor the production efforts of your assigned ship reporting physical progress and any disruptions to ship completion.
Inspect ship during construction to ensure ship specifications and requirements are being met. If not you will document and report the deficiency
Develop and recommend solutions to Navy to correct engineering issues and processes to improve ship construction efforts in terms of cost, schedule and quality.
Investigate areas of production concern, report findings and help develop solutions to help ship return to plan.
Track and monitor installation of equipment and incorporation of changes
Provide information and help develop reports for the program.
Analyze data to identify trends and potential problems to the program.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar. Additional relevant experience can be considered to offset degree requirements.
An active Secret level Security Clearance is required to be considered.
A minimum of 4 to 6 years' relevant experience is required.
Experience in ship construction techniques and methods is required.
Expertise with MS Excel, PowerPoint and other office tools is required.
Knowledge of engineering analysis techniques is required.

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Ashore Program's mission is to design, procure, integrate, install and sustain the systems/equipment hardware, associated firmware, and software required to provide the ability to protect mission-critical assets and personnel from natural disasters, acts of terrorism and other human-caused disasters.
In this role, you will:
Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment including alarms, naval munitions, giant voice, cameras, intrusion detection, emergency operation centers, regional dispatch centers, gates, wide area alert, indoor voice, enterprise land mobile radio, dispatch activities, and support for regional and emergency operation centers as needed.
In addition the FSE trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
Will be relied upon to determine and recommend which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience OR HS Diploma with 4 years experience in the field.
Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance within 90 days of start date.
Must be able to travel locally and long distance as needed.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

In this role, you will:
Perform tire inspections, repairs, and changes in the shop and on the road side for cars, pick-ups, trucks and off-road equipment.
Perform operational and functional inspections, repairs and maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment
Perform inspections, repair and maintenance operations on a variety of powered, non-powered equipment, and vehicles
Ability to work on a diverse equipment set, which includes mowers, cranes, backhoes, trailers, trenchers, bulldozers, excavators, wood chippers, asphalt laying equipment, diggers and pole setting equipment, aerial manlifts, cranes, medium and heavy trucks and mounted/non-mounted attachments.

Perform minor welding repairs when required in a field environment.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide day to day managerial oversight and direction to the Product Line Managers (PLMs) in all aspects of medium to complex projects from inception through completion, in a multi stakeholder environment, on time and within budget.
Oversee effective implementation of business processes requirements, operationalization of policy changes, pilot projects and other consumer outcomes improvement efforts.
Lead Cross functional product line team collaboration and engagement activities.
Provide thought leadership in driving innovation for the existing process and improve operational, financial and process efficiencies.
Lead business process innovations discussions with product line managers and marketplace integration team.
Ensure awareness of all the production and consumer impacting priority issues for the product lines and advise PLMs on the workarounds and associated client communications/ leadership escalations. Ensure priority issues are escalated to the SD Director in a timely manner.
Assess financial impacts of process changes within each product line and escalate critical decision points, risks and mitigation solutions to the SD Director in a timely manner.
Perform document review of White Papers, SOPs, Project Charters and Business Requirement documents (BRDs) across multiple product lines and provide approvals as needed.
Maintain strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders and provide subject matter expertise to clients to ensure resolution of issues.
Monitor and ensure SLA and average handle times are met to drive the improved business and consumer outcomes.
Ensure all client deliverables meethigh quality standards.
Provides regular status updates to the SD Director, Program leadership and client.
Manage team and individual performance to sustain high-performing team.
Responsible for fulfilling staffing needs, hiring and retaining high talent for all product lines. Participate in recruitment and interview process.
Support SD Director in the development and successful implementation of the Service Delivery and program goals and objectives.
Participate in strategy sessions with program leadership, PLMs, cross functional teams and/or client as directed by the SD Director.

Qualifications
To be successful in the role, you will have:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field from an accredited institution with 10 to 12 years of relevant work experience and demonstrated experience in leadership role.
Managed a team of about 20 or more employees, including managers.
Demonstrated experience leading complex, dynamic projects in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated experience with business process re-engineering and management.
Managed multiple competing priorities with short turnarounds
Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology and best practices.

Position Description
JOIN OUR TEAM to assist and prepare over 200,000 Servicemen and women who separate annually from the United States Military begin a new life chapter as a civilian. Many of those who separate from the military have transition plans while others find becoming a civilian a daunting task. The Department of Labor (DOL) Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS) program requires contractor services to support these transitioning Servicemen and women through its highly successful Transition Assistance Program (TAP) that is offered world-wide to conduct job assistance workshops, employment counseling, apprenticeship program placements and employer outreach.
The Employment Resource Coordinator (ERC) supports veteran, National Guard, and Reserve Service members and their spouses' civilian employment through education and support services. The ERC will support the Off-Base Transition Training (OBTT) program efforts by assisting with Memoranda of Agreements and coordination of Brick and Mortar (B/M) employment workshops at select locations other than active military installations.
In this role, you will:
May coordinate virtual workshops.
A high level of coordination in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
Must be able to listen to OBTT participants and assist them in identifying and prioritizing their needs.
Provides screening and referral services and identify and utilize a network of local, regional, and state resources for employment and employment readiness.
Serve as the point of contact for activities in their assigned area of responsibility for all stakeholders, including those from the Department of Veterans' Affairs, Department of Defense, Department of Labor, State Adjutant General offices, American Job Centers, DOL VETS State Directors, and more.
Manages supplies, instructional materials, and office equipment and prepares periodic reports.
Ability to work extended hours, including weekdays, weekends, and some holidays, may be required to address emerging requirements under changing and constrained timelines.
Must be able to communicate effectively, be comfortable instructing and speaking in front of a group, be observant of others, possess the ability to engage an audience, and respond to inquiries independently.

In this role, you will:
Develop, operate, maintain, and administer the Web-enabled I Logistics Database - an Oracle database which contains supply and configuration data on material as well as business applications, and a Microsoft (MS) -dot net- front end that enables system access by fleet users who enter supply and maintenance actions in support of Navy 3M data collection.
Support and/or install software applications/operating systems.
Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
Be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Be relying on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Perform a variety of complicated tasks.
Be able to lead and direct the work of others.

In this role, you will:
Provide technical expertise in the implementation or evaluation of USAFCENT access entry control operations and assist with the protection of property from the dangers of sabotage, espionage, and intrusion.
Participate in access entry control and sensor systems software and hardware implementation, maintenance, testing, and periodic checks.
Assist with identifying performance limits and monitoring concerns; properly documenting outcomes as directed by USAFCENT Force Protection management.
Advise 9th AF /USAFCENT FP on coordination of air base defense, antiterrorism, FP, and physical security support with USCENTCOM, the Air Staff, and host nation forces.
Do physical security site surveys; provide effective and economical recommendations for onsite improvements to the exterior and interior security elements; to include but not limited to, security lighting, intrusion detection and assessment equipment, annunciation and display systems, security communications, or other security measures that protect Government property and personnel.
Be directed to identify, analyze, and resolve broad and complex security concerns.
Staff a 24-hour work center and will be assigned to varying shifts to support 9th AF / USAFCENT operational hours.
Additional roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Notify and assist management, if necessary, with the development of new or revised policies, procedures, and implementation.
Execute and enforce compliance to physical and personnel security requirements outlined in directives, instructions, manuals, regulations, and local policies.
Address alarms and/or telephone/radio calls by determining and taking appropriate action; identified by management.
Assess security controls to ensure security protocols are not compromised; prevent unauthorized access or unauthorized disclosure of information.
Notify management of any policy or procedure concerns, directorate security manager concerns, or personnel issues.
Perform Defense Information Security System (DISS) functions; to include but not limited to security clearance verification, create, modify, or cancels visit requests, and perform detailed report functions.
Conduct periodic reviews of security clearances and credentials; distribute notices of required changes, reports, records, and other documents, as directed. Analyze operating efficiencies and resources; make recommendations for modifications and/or changes to management.
Assist in the development and performance of access entry control functions; credential issuance or confiscation, the explanation of policy, procedures, and the operation of access hardware to other security specialists, visitors, and Government and contract personnel.
Consult with other security specialists to develop protection procedures for Government approval that provide maximum protection without any major interference to the mission; recommend corrective action when or where security requirements are not adhered to.
Operate, monitor, and maintain Video Image Control and Display system (VICADS) architecture and software, operating processes, and store images captured, recorded, and on network video recording and storage devices for multiple facilities.
Assist with Internet Protocol (IP) networking, Windows-based servers and workstations; hardware and software, as well as, Command and Control Display Equipment (CCDE), and security and video surveillance.
Assist in overseeing VICADS robust configuration parameters; alarm point priority assessment, automatic or manual call up policies, automatic pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) presets upon alarm and intelligent queuing logic for multiple alarms.
Responsible for escorting designated personnel into controlled premises; provide an authorized service for 9 AF (USAFCENT) facilities, construction projects and/or installations during operational hours.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Active Secret Security Clearance
High School Diploma/GED
Three (3) years' experience with USAF Automated Entry Controls Systems (Vindicator/Hirsch products) or similar is required.
Experience with VICADS operation, administer, and performance troubleshooting on VICADS video management systems or similar.
Ability to travel = 10%

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Familiarity with SKM Power Tools or other software used to perform load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, breaker coordination, arc flash hazard, and other electrical power system analyses.
Familiarity with Matlab Simulink or other modeling and simulation software and the ability to develop representative time domain models of power converters, motors, generators, etc. needed to perform harmonic analyses and dynamic simulations.

Position Description
Serco is looking for an Electrical Tradesman to join a high-profile and challenging project supporting the US Navy. Electrical Tradesman will be on a dynamic team, supporting our C5ISR system installations. You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco team members to deliver high technology performed onboard U.S. Naval Ships and military installations.
In this role, you will:
Receive technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician, and your work will be reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
Follow blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to fabricate and assemble various electromechanical and electronic assemblies.
Perform work with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within field under general supervision.
Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and you will typically report to a supervisor.
Work onboard U.S. Naval Ships and military installations in an area that is somewhat uncomfortable due to drafts, noise, temperature variation and the like and with equipment.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A High School Diploma or GED and 2-4 years of Shipboard experience installing electronic equipment, ducts, cableways, cables, lagging.
An OSHA 10 certification or able to obtain the certification.
Ability to use power tools, assembling both large scale and intricate mechanical assemblies.
Ability to work with blueprints, assembly drawings and sketches in completing a wide variety of assembly and subassembly tasks.
Experience in the fabrication and precision assembly of various mechanical assemblies.
Applicant must be able to get respirator qualified and wear proper PPE throughout their work shift.
Applicant must be willing to work second shift and willing to work more than 40 hours work weeks.
Ability to work in high heat spaces, climb shipyard dry dock stairs/ladders, work in kneeling position for layout of cable runs under false decking, lift 50 pounds with 80% of work requiring carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 40 pounds for majority of shift while being in a standing, crouching, or walking position.
Candidate must be willing to travel
This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Serco to staff it only with U.S. Citizens, be able to obtain gain access to shipyards (NAVSTA & DBIDS), undergo a background investigation and pass a drug screening.

Executive Administrative Team Support

Serco has an immediate opportunity for you located at the Washington Navy Yard in the role of Executive Administrative Team Support. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.
In this role, you will:
Provide executive level administrative/clerical support to the leadership team while exercising confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
Perform a variety of complex and confidential administrative duties to include composing and typing correspondence, generating reports, and maintaining computer-based and paper files.
Manage calendars and correspondence to include (editing, formatting, and serialization).
Coordinate meeting logistics with conference room scheduling, visitor control, etc.
Additional duties will include:
Acting as POC Liaison, Security Liaison, and Primary Mailroom Orderly.
Coordinating general administrative activities.
Attending Division Director's semi-weekly meetings.
Supporting the recruitment and on-boarding of government personnel.
Act as POC for government personnel travel via the Defense Travel System (DTS).
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A High School Diploma.
At least two plus years' experience.
Strong knowledge of the Defense Travel System.
Strong Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of SharePoint.
A current or active DoD Secret clearance.
