We are looking for an enthusiastic R&D Chemist intern to join our R&D Innovation team during the Fall of 2021. This internship position will expose the candidate to the concepts and practices of performing Technology investigations, including Market and IP characterization, as well as providing immersion into the field of analytical testing. The position will involve the combination of primary/secondary research, analysis, interpretation, product testing and reporting on assigned topics.
This internship will help you grow your professional skills and broaden your experience as you contribute to the R&D group and our company-wide goals.
What you will do:
Develop key test methods for product attribute testing, with guidance from senior technical team.
Hands-on, creative, Do-It-Yourself mentality required.
Understand the product attribute and deduce a test method for testing various formulas/prototypes.
General lab testing, read samples, and enter data into system as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of experiments or process.
Follow all quality procedures and safety rules.
Lab maintenance of equipment and materials. Work area must be kept in a clean and orderly condition.
Keep updated in the field by reading technical literature, attending lectures, and industry seminars.
What we are looking for:
- Junior or Senior, pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a similar technical field.

As a Field Service Engineer, you are the front line of Diagraph's customer interaction through delivering efficient field support in your assigned territory. With advanced technical and product training, you will further contribute to the success of Diagraph. Enhance customer satisfaction providing exceptional customer service
Travels to customer sites and provides installation, emergency on-site repairs, preventative maintenance services, and training for Diagraph.
Maintain first time fix and field response time customer satisfaction rate at the target rate
Verify that machines are operating at peak efficiency through proper installation and/or setup and testing.
Work as part of a regional and national team to drive profitable revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsible for timely and accurate documenting and reporting of all service related activities.
Provide timely feedback to quality department on equipment reliability and design.
Maintain a satisfactory parts inventory, requisitioning additional parts required to perform normal duties.
Exercise safe working practices and procedures at all times.
Complete detailed and accurate service reports and expense reports within the due dates specified.
Conduct training with customer's employees to ensure an understanding of the theory of operation, proper functionality, and general maintenance of equipment.
Education: Associates Degree in Electronics or related Technical Degree and/or military training required; Bachelors Degree in an Engineering field preferred.
Experience/Skills:
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in field customer service work or a commensurate military experience.

Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical control equipment and circuitry by performing the following duties:

This position with support the integration and optimization of control systems hardware and software associated with capital equipment for the Baked Foods Industry. It includes requirements definition, electrical design and application of motor controls, machine controls, process controls, hydraulic controls, pneumatic controls, PLCs, HMIs and software for same.

Supports Sales by reviewing customer control systems specifications and design premises for compliance, recommends exceptions.

The Software Engineering Summer Intern program with Hobart Weigh Wrap is designed to give students the hands-on exposure to daily engineering operations, projects and research that impacts new product development, manufacturing and design. Minimum Qualifications:

BASIC DESCRIPTION:
The Market Segment Manager, will play a key role understanding customer needs, derived through welding market segmentation strategies. Responsible for conducting process and product training courses for our channel partners, sales team, educators, and end-user customers to improve their individual and organizational effectiveness to sell or utilize the ITW welding products. The individual will lead both individually and as part of a team to develop and update individual learning paths for channel partners and support updating and development of training collateral needed to achieve industry leading results from the training courses.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Welding Process Trainer, also referred as the training advisor for the region, understands the distributors and sales teams' key business initiatives and goals. Establishes strategic training plans to address their needs, plans, confirms, creates, and executes learning opportunities to grow channel partners, end user customers, and sales teams.
Conduct effective delivery of training course content through a combination of methods, including virtual, webinar, video, e-learning, classroom, and hands on facilitation to meet each course's objective.
Regional Trainers are subject matter experts in welding processes, and welding products that work with all ITW Welding divisions to deliver training to Distributors, Educators, and Industrial Customers. Key training attributes include, value proposition, markets served, key features that address customer needs, and product set-up and operation.
Coordinate training sessions through regular communication with the sales team to understand training needs in the market and develop a schedule of courses that fit the needs of the market.
Develop new courses on markets and core products. Collaborate with sales team and divisional personnel to assess formal and informal training needs, determine training objectives, course design, and ensure proper topics and collateral are used during training.
Develop industry leading training materials in partnership with Product Managers and Marketing and Sales Team. Collateral may include multimedia resources and online tools, PowerPoints, pdfs, etc.
Own the customer learning experience, train, inspire, and build brand advocacy.
Manage the training facility to ensure it is equipped to support a safe and positive training experience for customers and visitors.
Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employee work practices.
Partner with other functions to assess and identify training gaps (strengths and weaknesses) and develop a training plan to meet the needs of our business partners
Partner with others to maintain current classroom materials and teaching aids to keep courses up to date with current processes and products.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong communication skills applied when working cross-departmentally and with customers.
Ability to work independently, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once.
Tactful in their approach, can be direct as well as diplomatic. Can handle conflict effectively with high personal confidence and ability to be assertive when necessary.
Knowledge of instructional design theory, learning principles, traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques.

Competency in common computing technologies, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe PDF etc.
Technical aptitude required, and welding experience preferred.

Must be a team player with a positive attitude, high motivation, and solid decision-making abilities.
Travel to regional training facilities to deliver classroom training, 40-60% estimated travel.

Primary responsibilities will include:
Operating filling and packaging equipment according to procedures
Tending to machines that perform various packaging functions such as filling, labeling, packing or closing containers
Responsible for minor adjustments, set-ups, changeovers, loading, maintenance, cleaning and general operation of various filling and packaging machines
Organizing and performing job in accordance with bills of material and routing instructions
Responsible for quality inspection of goods to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications
Completion of all required paperwork for production as needed by MFG procedures

Promoting and following all safety guidelines and procedures, and recommending safety improvements as needed

The PPAP coordinator oversees the production part approval process (PPAP) for products. Duties include obtaining documentation about measurements, conflicting materials, layout and installation requirements for parts, IMDS procedures along, assuring alignment with quality programs and systems. Ensures consistent application of PPAPs and ensures quality systems meet ITW standards and conform to our customer's requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Maintains PPAP and IMDS systems, completing all paperwork as required for tracking and timely submittal, and document control including distribution/removal of obsolete prints, forms, and or work instructions.
Maintains sample parts.
Participate in quality planning/manufacturing/engineering PPAP process reviews, as needed.
Communicate professionally with peers and customers regarding PPAP and IMDS related issues.
Able to interface with customers on APQP, process control plans, PFMEAs, MSA, and SPC.
Coordinates course of action for alleviating and resolving concerns (8d and 5Y's), as needed.
Analyze and verify the dimensional capability of products and processes (Includes suppliers)
Understand Gage R&R's and Capability Studies
Comply with all company Procedures, Policies, Work Instructions, and IATF16949/EMS-14001 requirements.
