Senior Software Engineer - Audacy

Job Description

Overview

Audacy is looking for an innovative, results-oriented, passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our Content Services Team. This role will play a key part in building scalable microservices with a focus on event driven architecture. The candidate will contribute to software development including our APIs and back-end services which support our customer-facing platform, including the mobile app, auto integrations, voice devices, and OTT apps.

The ideal candidate is passionate about building effective, high-quality, innovative, scalable products and online service. We believe in self-empowered teams that can take a product from concept to delivery.

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $120,000-$135,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver results on complex projects involving multiple teams across the company

  • Assist with design and definition of business and system-level services, APIs, and cross-platform user experiences

  • Develop APIs and event driven back-end services powering our mobile & OTT apps, as well as APIs consumed by third-party developers

  • Help provide an accurate timeline and scoping estimations on engineering projects

  • Exercise leadership in project architecture & code quality

  • Follow coding best practices and provide feedback on pull-requests

  • Mentor junior engineers

  • Follow agile/continuous integration engineering best practices

Qualifications

More About You:

Required:

  • 5-8 years of experience writing high availability enterprise ready applications.

  • Extensive, well-rounded background in a diverse set of messaging middleware solutions with in-depth understanding of architectures of such solutions. Examples: Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM, OSB Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and operations.

  • Deep understanding of different messaging paradigms (pub/sub, queuing), as well as delivery models, quality-of-service, and fault-tolerance architectures.

  • Familiar with traditional Agile methodologies: such as Scrum and Kanbana.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work across environments and juggle many large initiatives with tight timelines.

Preferred:

  • 3+ years - track record with Kafka technology, with hands-on production experience.

  • Working knowledge of APM vendors.

  • Experience with NodeJS or TypeScript.

  • Experience with Kotlin.

  • Work directly with clients to install and configure Streaming and On Demand software

Overview

Audacy is looking for a Regional Brand Manager to help lead company's Alternative format. You will provide artistic, creative, inspirational and professional leadership for the format as well as local oversight and communication.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Support Senior Vice President Programming and Regional Vice President Programming with brand execution and strategy

  • Schedule music logs for assigned brands

  • Assist Regional Vice President Programming with image campaigns, promotions as needed

  • Assist SVP Programming and RVP Programming with artist and label relations as directed

  • Roll up weekly research for music analysis; Implement music research; Report weekly adds

  • Contributor to social media content

  • On-air talent as needed

  • Additional duties as required

Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Proven ratings and revenue success in the Triple A/Modern Rock/Alternative/CHR format in a Top100 market.

  • Experience in major market programming management and a 4-year degree in related field is preferred.

  • Must have at least 5 years over the air experience

  • Meet and exceed mutually agreed upon ratings and digital goals in a competitive landscape with enthusiasm, and high standards for yourself and those who work for you.

  • Understand how to use station social media to enhance ratings, the brand and audience engagement.

  • Believe in and consistently execute talent-coaching meetings.

  • Be responsible for adherence and compliance to Company program standards and FCC regulations. Lead and demonstrate by example the importance of the relationship between station and the local community.

  • Establish and communicate programming and content goals and vision, and be responsible for the results. Relentlessly creating an environment of constant creation & implementation of dual-purpose ideas that grow ratings and revenue.

  • Work collaboratively with sales leadership, understanding and believing in a sales-friendly environment.

  • Must be self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with sales and marketing and promotions.

  • Comfortable with a dynamic and matrixed work environment.

  • Knowledge of FCC rules, geographical demographics and familiarity with broadcast area required.

  • Familiar with working in a union environment with represented employees.

  • Must be based in New York City (Tri State) area

  • In this role, you will be responsible for an on air day part (currently evenings) and may be required to work other day parts as needed for fill-in.

  • In this role, you will have "over the air "duties hosting a show, you will be required to join SAG-AFTRA.

  • A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check.
