The Client Manager is a lead role in our CAT Parts Order Management responsible for managing the day-to-day logistics services agreement with BCP along with leading the CAT Parts global direct-ship and Dealer Parts Inventory Sharing programs. The Client Manager will lead a global team of supply chain professionals located in the United States, Brazil, and India; who are responsible for the day-to-day supply chain functions for BCP work tools, all direct-ship programs, while also administering the Dealer Parts Inventory Sharing program.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for engaging, training, developing and mentoring all personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates

  • Monitor and manage key performance criteria

  • Accountable for performance of the BCP Work Tools vendor, Direct-Ship Business Process, and Dealer Parts Inventory Sharing Business (DPISB)

  • Participates on behalf of and commits Caterpillar in direct negotiations

  • Understanding competition, pricing position, and value selling of the Caterpillar Parts Network

  • Maintain coverage of key customers and achievement of annual business plan

  • Understand, document and communicate customer requirements, business models, competitive landscape and other market intelligence to ensure awareness of customer needs

  • Work to identify market growth opportunities, new markets, and strategic partnerships to grow the business revenue and OPACC

  • Improvement of Customer/Dealer/Employee/Company satisfaction

  • Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 15 (plus) years of progressively responsible job-related engineering experience

  • Previous experience with at least one of the following: Material Control, Purchasing, Parts Distribution, and/or Inventory Control

  • Previous 6 Sigma and/or Caterpillar Production System (CPS) experience

  • Previous supervisory experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications

  • The ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary for this role ranges from $146,976.00 to $220,464.00. Actual salary will be based on experience. The total rewards package, beyond base salary includes:

  • Oversee & manage the total Talent Acquisition process, strategy & execution across the Resource Industries business. Effectively lead a team of recruiters and coordinators to drive best practices around the recruiting process and deliver top talent to meet key business needs, establishing strategic partnerships to elevate hiring manager and candidate satisfaction throughout the process.

  • Educate and train hiring managers and leaders on recruiting best practices, interviewing techniques, conducting reference checks, candidate selection, compensation considerations, and employee onboarding. Work collaboratively with Division hiring leaders and HR Business Partners to develop and maintain strategic partnerships to enable recruiting success.

  • Maintain and enhance measures of success across the Talent Acquisition team to drive consistent and repeatable hiring results. Manage team performance and identify & develop training plans to build and reinforce recruiter capabilities and best practices.

  • Assess recruiting analytics and hiring metrics to provide key business updates, stakeholder reviews and service level evaluations to ensure execution across key business objectives. JOB SUMMARY:

  • Support various accounts receivable management functions and bring timely resolution to customer accounts including but not limited to: regular customer past due accounts, repossession, legal accounts, and recovery activity for Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation (CFSC).

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities may vary but, may include various combinations of the following.

  • Collects delinquent active contracts through telephone contact and field visits.

  • Authorizes and conducts equipment repossessions, which includes authorizing legal correspondence and arranging for transportation and safe storage of the units.

  • Reports past due results and recommends additions, deletions and modifications to the Potential Credit Loss Report.

  • Develops and nurtures a strong working relationship with dealers, Territory Managers and customers in an assigned portfolio.

  • Coordinates timely resolution of customer service issues on past due accounts.

  • Prepares their individual regular or legal collection past due reports and statistics for submission to management weekly or as requested by management.

  • May provide timely reporting of repossessed assets or accounts being referred for legal action to other business units as required, including Asset Management and Legal.

  • May provide status and historical reporting to Customer Accounts staff and management on collection activities and accounts placed for repossession within the department.

  • Reviews accounts that have been identified as non-collectable to establish deficiency amounts and determine the most appropriate and cost-effective means by which to pursue outstanding accounts balances.

  • Analyzes the ability to collect on recovery accounts, collects deficiency balances and coordinates recovery efforts through collection agencies.

  • Collects sale proceeds on private sales.

  • Contacts customers to identify willingness to pay and negotiate a lump sum balance payment, arrange a payment schedule or negotiate a contract settlement.

  • Evaluates the customer's credit worthiness if a payment schedule appears to be the best alternative for resolving an outstanding balance. To accomplish this, Dun & Bradstreet and credit bureau reports are reviewed and evaluated. If warranted, an individual asset search is completed.

  • Provides the customer credit rating on charged off accounts to credit bureaus and other potential debtors.

  • Serves as an active liaison between CFSC and the collection agencies to answer inquiries and resolve account issues promptly.

  • When warranted, works with approved collection agencies to recover outstanding balances when direct customer contact has been unsuccessful. Subsequently approves payment schedules or negotiated contract settlement suggested by the collection agent.

  • Makes recommendations to the Asset Management staff regarding how repossessed equipment should be liquidated.

  • Monitors and calculates potential loss on accounts with input from Asset Management/CRSI.

  • Establishes account deficiency through Strict Foreclosure or following the sale of equipment and subsequent collection of sale proceeds from the selling agent.

  • Prepares standardized transmittal forms for transfer of accounts to legal status.

  • Prepares documents necessary to write off the account balance following equipment liquidation and sends a notice of deficiency to the customer.

  • Prepares and files Proof of Claim on bankruptcy cases.

  • Based upon an analysis of accounts and customer assets, makes recommendation regarding the legal strategy for pursuing outstanding account balances.

  • Coordinates with the Legal Department to provide information needed to issue judgments and garnishments and pursue litigation.

  • Performs equipment audits on special accounts and authorizes and evaluates equipment inspections as needed.

  • Monitors payments received from legal accounts and takes appropriate collection action when a delinquency has been identified.

  • Monitors suspense payment balances originating from legal accounts.

  • Performs buyout calculations on legal accounts.

  • Prepares periodic status reports, summaries, statistics, results and historical reporting to Customer Accounts staff and management on repossession, recovery or legal activities on accounts.

  • Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.

  • Understands the Harassment policy of the company and is responsible for its application in all aspects of employment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply collection techniques and procedures.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to apply math computation skills including basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Job Purpose:

To own the overall health of the aftermarket business for components under E&APSD's design control including maintaining and growing parts and services related OPACC. Job Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Work NPI projects/programs and ensure all related deliverables with each NPI/NTI gate review are completed. Including long-term forecasts, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis, service level development and inventory planning.

  • Develop a comprehensive parts OPACC strategy for both current and NPI products in collaboration with other enterprise divisions. Including parts pricing, repair option development and go-to-market execution.

This role will help coordinate test requests across the L5 ePowertrain validation engineers as well as our partner L3 and L4 component/system technical leads. This role will then create test plans, utilizing the input collected from the L5 ePowertrain and partner L3 and L4 component/system technical leads. When needed, this role may also be responsible for the build and/or commissioning of a new test rig.

The Sr. Engineering Technologist role may include the following:

  • Coordination and oversight of test rig builds within Caterpillar facilities or at local facilities outside of Caterpillar. In situations when we are working with suppliers outside of Caterpillar, this person will be the liaison between Caterpillar and that supplier as it relates to the specific testing that we are requesting.

  • Performing tests targeted at verifying the performance, durability, safety, and/or communication and controls of the ePowertrain system for a given application.

  • Working with Caterpillar test execution facilities to ensure that tests requirements are defined and communicated and ensure that those facilities are meeting those requirements.

  • Identify test facility needs, request necessary hardware and/or data acquisition. Make capital requests and manage those requests as needed to support the test facility.

Position involves working in a team environment on challenging NTI and NPI programs that involve the integration of electric drive and electric power source technologies into electrification solutions, supporting a team of ePowertrain validation engineers and NPI leads.
