Caterpillar is seeking a Automation Technology Strategist to help lead the development of technology products for the mining industry focusing on guidance and control products. This role will serve as the Product Architect for the mining Detect, Terrain, Fleet, and Command (L8) product lines. The Product Architect's primary accountability will be to define product roadmaps and product architectures that enable technology product portfolio growth, align with emerging technologies and industry trends, and support Caterpillar machine market and product strategies. The roadmaps shall define incremental product enhancements, aligned with planned NPI cycles and the long term business plan, that enable the migration of the current technology product lines into a comprehensive, differentiated next generation product portfolio. Roadmaps will focus on a zero to five year time frame and apply to both surface and underground mining applications.
The Product Architect will be accountable to collaborate with customers, internal partners, machine product groups, and external partners and suppliers to identify solutions and define site level product requirements. The architect will cascade site product requirements to subsystem/component levels requirements and gain alignment with internal and external partners on subsystem/component strategies. The Product Architect will also work with machine product groups to align technology product strategies with machine product strategies and ensure machine products are built technology ready.
Job Duties
Working with commercial teams, business partners, and customers to understand product needs and to define appropriate technology product solutions.
Collaborating with machine product partners, internal partners, and other parties to communicate the technology strategy and gain alignment.
Applying good business acumen to defining product MGPPs that align with customer needs, focus on the appropriate market opportunities, and are within business constraints.
Understanding and responding to mining industry trends, market mega-trends, and important trends in adjacent markets.
Forecasting and aligning with technology innovation; identifying and responding emerging and disruptive technology trends.
Defining product interoperability strategies and product architectures to support interoperability in alignment with market trends and Caterpillar product strategies.
Collaborating with subsystem and component partners (L2-L4) to align strategies and cascade requirements.
Working with NPI teams to define program technology content and supporting the technical execution within NPI programs.
Understanding competitive system capabilities, growth, and positioning.
Supporting the definition and execution of customer based productivity studies.
Working with product regulators to guide regulatory development and plan for regulatory impact on product strategies.
Providing product CPI and maintenance support.
Mentoring and coaching Enterprise team members.
Building a network with the mining industry and impacting the industry through industry groups and organizations.
The Product Architect will rely on a wide network of resources with diverse technical and cultural backgrounds. The incumbent will take responsibility for their development, continuously learning through experience, professional engagements, and career opportunities.
Basic Qualifications
Accredited, 4 year engineering degree or equivalent.
At least 15 years of experience in a relevant technical roles.
Experience with embedded system development and life-cycle management.
Previous large team leadership experience.
Top Candidates will also have
Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
Prior experience with mining products, technology based products, autonomous vehicle technology, machine automation, guidance and control products, or similar products.
Advanced degree (Masters, PhD) in an Engineering or Computer Science related fields Autonomous or Semi-Autonomous systems.
Experience must include knowledge across all of the major sub-systems of Autonomy - perception, localization, and planning, and how to manage the interdependencies and integration of the sub-systems into the overall autonomy system.
Experience must also include knowledge across the infrastructure areas supporting development of these sub-systems (simulation, analytics, machine learning development pipelines)
Experience with enabling technologies including radio communications, wireless networks, and IT systems.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience as Production Team Lead or EMT 1.

- Understand and identify the 8 types of tool wear and how they apply in tool degradation situations.
- Using gauges appropriately (micrometers, calipers, gauge blocks, bore gauges, pin gauges, etc)

JOB DUTIES:
The IoT Analytics Manager is the hands-on manager who demonstrates significant strategic thinking and leads the team of data scientists and engineers working in Unplanned Repairs Analytics. The team focuses on such areas as various analytics projects starting from ground truth discovery for failure identification to Global Services-related solutions and such strategic projects as BaaSS.
The right candidate will be responsible for marrying Enterprise and Business Unit strategy to the opportunities provided by advanced analytics. The IoT Analytics Manager needs to be an excellent communicator and to have shown clear development as a strategic thinker. The right candidate needs to be analytically expert, with firsthand experience designing, implementing, and deploying analytics solutions. The incumbent needs a breadth of knowledge and experience, with deeper experience in at least two domains such as product development, design, marketing, logistics, purchasing, aftermarket, or manufacturing. The individual needs to demonstrate an extremely strong customer focus, strong leadership, and solid initiative.
This role requires technical expertise to supervise and guide highly technical analytics work, assess technical talent, and guide technical employee development. Hands-on work on select projects will be required. This role also requires a long-range focus on business strategy.

Due to a recent promotion, we are looking to fill a crucial role on the team - an experienced Business Analyst for the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) team, which is integral to delivering on the platform strategy and roadmap in partnership with the AEM Product Owner and Application Engineering partners. This role will be responsible for working stories from the product backlog, building functional and technical design, creating development ready stories that are given to the development team and seeing solutions through to the end, where implemented solutions are presented back to the business whether it be during a sprint reveal ceremony or one-on-one with a particular requestor.
JOB DUTIES:
