The Digital Marketing Enablement - Web, Content & Search team is comprised of passionate and capable Product Owners and Business Analysts who are responsible for working closely with business partners to understand how the systems we own deliver value for both internal users, dealers and Caterpillar customers. We drive strategic enablement linked to both short-term and long-term roadmaps aligned to the business needs of our key stakeholders.

Due to a recent promotion, we are looking to fill a crucial role on the team - an experienced Business Analyst for the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) team, which is integral to delivering on the platform strategy and roadmap in partnership with the AEM Product Owner and Application Engineering partners. This role will be responsible for working stories from the product backlog, building functional and technical design, creating development ready stories that are given to the development team and seeing solutions through to the end, where implemented solutions are presented back to the business whether it be during a sprint reveal ceremony or one-on-one with a particular requestor.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Establishes knowledge of client business challenges and priorities to translate into business requirements.

  • Validates solution design including prototyping and configuration.

  • Development of process documentation.

  • Participates in test script creation for new content releases and/or deployments.

  • Helps deliver presentations to clients and management teams.

  • Translate client's business needs into detailed business requirements documents, use cases and systems interaction diagrams.

  • Groom Backlog and create User Stories.

  • Builds UX awareness of business issues; collaborates with UX to establish approved wireframes and mock-ups for solutions.

  • Provides leadership throughout the lifecycles of a project, guiding the understanding the project team has through design and development to ensure project requirements are met.

  • Helps establish project test strategy, methodologies, test plans as well as assist with test execution.

  • Review and approve test plans as required by new content releases or deployments for AEM.

  • Creates end user training materials; demoes to applicable parties.

  • Establish security data classifications.

  • Participates in Agile ceremonies; daily stand-ups, product backlog grooming, spring planning, sprint reveal and sprint retrospectives.

  • Business escalation point for any conflicts or concerns.

  • Assist in managing contracts as needed for consulting or external interfaces.

  • Represent AEM with other areas of the business who use or integrate with this part of the business.

The candidate develops well-prepared action plans for the current year and has a clear sense of what needs to be achieved in the year to come. Position receives assignments that tell what needs to be done and when it needs to be completed. The candidate can change practices and procedures to get the desired results.

Travel will be dependent on the application or process supported but in most cases will be minimal (10% of working time).

Basic Requirements:

  • A college or university degree, or applicable certification plus equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years Business Analyst experience.

  • 2+ years Experience with AEM platform.

  • This position should be familiar with project management methodologies as they will participate in multiple projects representing expertise for the application or process.

  • Job requires highly developed interpersonal skills to deal with sensitive, emotional or potentially controversial situations.

Top Candidates will have:

  • Self-starter who can come up to speed quickly.

  • Ability to thrive with little direction and supervision, makes time for unplanned assignments, and adaptable to changing priorities.

  • Exceptional communication skills.

  • Experience in Agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Mingle, Visual Studio Team Services, Rally, JIRA.

  • Excellent planning, and organization skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify multiple approaches to problem solving and recommend the best solution.

  • Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects of different sizes.

The preferred location is Peoria, IL, Chicago, IL, Cary, NC or Dallas, TX, but remote work within the United States is available for the right candidate.

This position will demonstrate knowledge of hypothesis driven problem solving and problem structuring, integration and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data, excellent PowerPoint & Excel skills, clear and articulate written and verbal communication, and an ability to thrive in ambiguous situations. Good attention to detail resulting in a quality work output, and good stakeholder management skills are also necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • This position requires bachelor's degree, preferably in business, finance, accounting, economics, science, computer science, engineering or mathematics

  • 4-6 years of total professional experience - including 2-4 years in a management consulting, corporate strategy role, investment banking, private equity or corporate development role

  • MBA or Master's degree

  • Demonstrated excellence in analytical, quantitative and conceptual thinking, logic and problem solving

The Role

The SPM Oil & Gas division is currently looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in Houston, TX. As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you are responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records

  • Determines method of shipment

  • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons

  • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers

  • Inserts items into containers

  • Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape

  • Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers

  • Posts weights and shipping charges and affixes postage

  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages

  • Routes items to departments

  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications

  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies

  • Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage work area

  • Manages inventory and the ERP system

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Accountable for coordinating the release, ordering, and procurement of all prove design material, including production parts, attachments and test engines

  • Receive requirements for prove design parts from the design section via Web Prove Design (WPD) and engineering order forms

  • Discuss requirements with the engineering design personnel to obtain mutual agreement on such things as date and quantity required, material availability or material substitutions, design requirements and design changes to facilitate manufacturing, and supplier capabilities

  • Maintain close and continuous contact with suppliers, both outside and at Caterpillar facilities

  • Analyze an average of 150 WPD orders on a monthly basis along with the material movement for an average of 300 part numbers. Responsible to follow material to the Prove Design Crib and instruct the crib personnel regarding the correct disbursement in and out of the crib

  • Responsible for the movement of the material to the end user, including scheduling the necessary transportation and for coordination to get related installation material routed to the appropriate location for testing in a field environment

  • Arrange for and/or deliver new or additional parts as needed. The material could move to another supplier, inspection hold area, the field or the Met Lab, moving many times prior to going to the end user

  • Each coordinator is responsible for a different engineering product client. Value is added through knowing what to do to make the process work efficiently and knowing how to handle situations where the process will not yield the result

  • Also works with Purchasing and Manufacturing to discuss problems relative to timely procurement of parts and materials. Problems may be of a technical nature relating to projects (e.g. can a part be manufactured within the company; can a supplier furnish the parts quicker and/or less expensive, etc.) They will consider the machine burden involved and where available, tooling required, supplier capabilities, lead-time, short lead-time orders, past due orders and print/engineering drawing related problems

  • Actively participate on NPI program teams for procuring prove design material

  • Manage the completion of your own work assignments and coordinate work with others

  • Challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems, which may not be obvious. Solve problems by determining the best course of action, within departmental guidelines, from many existing solutions

  • Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Part Quality, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 + years of technical school and/or an Associate's degree; or equivalent experience

  • Previous work experience in Global Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics or a product design and development group

  • Position requires a four year degree from an accredited college or university in an appropriate discipline

  • 2 plus years of experience in compliance

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Exhibited ability to work on increasingly complex assignments

  • Experience working with different business units, different products, processes or systems

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and IT leaders

  • Experience in IT compliance and/or IT knowledge demonstrated through education
