Overview

FTI is seeking an associate level Kubernetes and Docker Cloud Developer to support various military and DoD customers. This position requires a developer to work hand-in-hand with analysts, other developers, and customer user groups. The candidate will work with both the development team and its customer to coordinate the on-time development and delivery of solutions for both internal and external customers. Remote/Hybrid working opportunities available for this position.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an individual with current software engineering skills in cloud-native development, architecture and formal software process. Responsibilities will include design, implementation, testing, maintenance and documentation of our evolving cloud framework as well as containerization and orchestration of new and existing FTI software products and tools in the cloud. It is expected the individual will spend substantial time writing containerized code for machine learning and decision support, to be applied to EOIR sensor image processing and other types of AI solutions. Skills needed:

  • 2+ years cloud development experience using Kubernetes, Helm, and/or Docker

  • 2+ years C#, Angular, and .Net & Web APIs

  • Scripting experience

  • Experience working with data stores/databases

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Team player with good communication skills

  • Experience with Machine Learning algorithm development.

    Skills preferred:

  • MySQL, Minio, MongoDB and/or MS SQL Server experience or familiarity

  • C++ and object-oriented design and development

  • Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins

  • Power BI a plus

  • Experience working in an Agile environment

FTI is currently seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer with experience in Digital Engineering (DE) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to support the Space Systems Command (SSC).

The candidate will support the DE efforts/activities and apply systems engineering knowledge to execute DE processes and MBSE methodologies. The candidate will support MBSE product development to support an integrated DE approach. The candidate will be expected to identify and apply MBSE methods/tools to support development and definition of space architecture artifacts using Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and UPDM. The candidate will also interface directly with customers, support development of DE guidance, and implement strategies.

This position requires a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance and the candidate must be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and guide overarching DE strategy for Space Systems Command (SSC) aligned with the US Space Force (USSF)

  • Develop and refine model artifacts assessing organizational system processes, internal/external interfaces, requirements, and issues for SSC

  • Translate documented processes into executable SysML products

  • Execute Meta-model schema decomposition using SysML or other format

  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to identify technical interfaces and capabilities needed in a DE Environment and translate technical data into MBSE artifacts

  • Identify and define organizational/program processes and inputs

  • Consolidate and analyze DE efforts and technical content from multiple sources

  • Communicate timely and effectively with Senior Government Customers

  • Perform technical reviews and assessments to brief all stakeholders

  • Identify top level organizational/program requirements for varied digital artifacts

  • Identify process issues, evaluate alternatives, develop plans, and resolve technical issues with functional areas

  • Leverage FTI small business innovation research (SBIR) analysis methods and tools to enhance engineering processes and improve rigor of Course of Action (COA) assessments

  • Leverage FTI SBIR-developed tools to include but not limited to Integrated Cost as an Independent Variable (I-CAIV), Readiness Assessment Engine (RAE), NormNet Prognostic Health Management, Integrated Sensor Analysis Tool (I-SAT), and the Extensible Load-Adaptive Processing Service (ELAPSE)

Education/Qualifications

  • Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance and eligible to obtain a TS/SCI

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required

  • Master's degree in Engineering strongly preferred with 5+ years actively working as Systems Engineer (background in Space Systems must include Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and DE

  • Must have experience working with MBSE tools (e.g. Sparx EA, Cameo, etc.) and system architecture development

Overview

FTI is looking for a full-time SATCOM Engineer to support the US Navy's Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations organization . The Senior Engineer will be located in Portland, Oregon and will provide engineering and technical support to the customer. Position requires application of general engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate test and training Range instrumentation systems, data acquisition and display systems, and test communication systems. Responsibilities

Perform duties as an engineering team leader or supervisor developing engineering procedures and controls, managing project efforts, and taking the lead in problem resolution. Independently perform advanced, technically complex communications and data quality engineering tasking. Monitor network connectivity and ensure high quality data transmission.
