Relocation MAY be available IF needed and IF you qualify.
There will be approximately 75% travel in this position to GA Power facilities across the state of GA. (Only 25% of this travel will be overnight)
You MUST live within commutable distance of Metro Atlanta, GA as you will be required to attend necessary meetings.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsibilities include developing, communicating, and implementing special waste related environmental programs, guidelines, and compliance strategies for company business units and facilities. This position will be expected to represent the Company before regulatory agencies, external groups, and the public. Responsibilities include project management, training development, obtaining permits and licenses, reporting monitoring results, and performing compliance program reviews and audits.
The position is located in Atlanta, Georgia.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Familiarity with and/or ability to learn and interpret environmental regulations/requirements including Georgia Solid Waste Management Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Recovery Act (CERCLA) including Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA), Georgia Hazardous Sites Response Act, Georgia Hazardous Waste Management Act, Georgia Asbestos Safety Act, and others.
Support efforts to attain environmental permits, licenses, and certifications. Develop cost effective compliance strategies and programs for waste and remediation related regulations and permits, including developing Environmental Guidelines and appropriate communications and training. Specific responsibilities may include duties associated with, supporting ash pond closures, plant decommissioning, hazardous waste management, special waste handling, and other waste related tasks.
Monitor environmental legislative and regulatory activities that impact company operations. Provide interface and input to Southern Company environmental personnel regarding federal or industry environmental issues.
Work with appropriate regulatory agencies and external groups to promote informed, balanced, and science-based regulations and permit requirements.
Support and monitor Company compliance with various environmental programs with program reviews. Make observations and decisions as to the effectiveness of compliance activities and report those observations and decisions to environmental management and business units.
Support personnel with compliance assessments at customer facilities, as needed. Work as a team with other Environmental Analysts, Engineers, and Specialists to develop and implement cost-effective solutions and services for environmental risks.
Develop partnerships with all levels of business unit and facilities management to implement low cost and effective environmental programs.
Support the Company's environmental policies in all areas, including environmental stewardship initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of applicable environmental laws and regulations.
Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills; able to synthesize technical information and communicate in a manner suitable for technical and non-technical personnel.
Ability to work with limited supervision and maintain a flexible schedule which may include non-traditional hours and travel.
Judgment skills necessary to make decisions, solve problems, and implement solutions.
Project and contract management.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
4 plus years of experience in environmental waste and/or remediation.
Experience in interpreting environmental regulations and interaction with regulators.
Familiarity with hazardous waste and toxic substance regulations, performing waste determinations, and coordinating compliance reporting.
Experience in working with interdisciplinary teams.
Background or experience in power plant operations and/or power delivery is a plus.
Environmental Management Information System experience is a plus.

JOB SUMMARY
The overall responsibility of this role is to coordinate and administer compliance program initiatives and activities throughout SPC that promotes an enterprise culture of ethics and compliance. This position leads the Company's compliance efforts in multiple areas, including coordinating with management and functional compliance contacts on a continual basis to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements as well as internal policies. This position ensures that SPC Compliance Program is comprehensive, well-communicated, understood and followed by all employees.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
College degree required
Minimum 5 years' experience in positions with responsibility for legal, auditing, or compliance issues or programs required
Previous experience leading Compliance projects or programs required
Experience interfacing with/knowledge of the corporate compliance structure
Highly skilled at managing multiple assignments with minimal direction in time-sensitive environment
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with peers, management, executives, HR and legal counterparts within Southern Company

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for providing governance, program documentation, setting standards, and providing daily oversight for the compliance program
Responsible for ensuring employees' compliance with regulatory and policy requirements in all departments. Build a strong compliance network within the Company and coordinate compliance efforts with employees responsible for day -to-day functional compliance activities
Responsible for the preparation and submission of accurate and timely mandatory reports and documenting to appropriate internal Ethics and Compliance Council(ECC) as needed
Manage implementation of new compliance requirements, including lead project teams to establish and implement processes, procedures, communications, or technology changes in order to fulfill regulatory and legal requirements
Responsible for ensuring compliance training goals are met. Develop, assign, and conduct employee training necessary to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and Company policies
Implement the Southern Company Ethics and Compliance Corporate Framework within SPC. Responsibilities include coordinating the Quarterly Compliance Officer Disclosure process and preparing reports for executive management.
Maintain accurate corporate policies to ensure they meet SPC's compliance requirements, including writing and implementing new policies as required and coordinating review of policies
Represent SPC at meetings, manage special projects outside the scope of defined duties and assist Compliance Director with administering and coordinating compliance initiatives and activities.

This position is responsible for various Power Delivery standards and policies with a focus on electric distribution. Chief focus areas include materials standards, construction specifications, distribution and power delivery bulletins, engineering practices, distributed energy resource (DER) interconnection technical requirements and acceptance testing, R&D, plant accounting, and marginal cost inputs. This position leads a team of subject matter experts who effectively partner with multiple groups within Southern Company and influence matters at the national industry level. This position represents GPC in numerous SO and industry engagements.
Job Responsibilities
Working across Southern Company to set strategic direction for system design matters within Power Delivery
Leading a team of highly skilled subject matter experts in working with vendors to develop and deploy new materials solutions that support the safe and reliable operation of the electric system
Represent GPC in various SO committees pertaining to electric distribution, DER integration, engineering training, R&D, marginal cost analysis, and the like
Building and exercising influence at a national level within the electric utility industry in shaping the future of distribution system design and operation including but not limited to organizations such as EPRI, SEE, NEETRAC, EEI, IEEE, and various technology industry user groups
Responsible for coordinating with Supply Chain Management on acceptance of new material items, external suppliers, material availability, and material substitutions
Provide budget input, projections, and other financial information as needed on Power Delivery capital and O&M work plans
Develop and support execution of DER interconnection requirements and policies, focusing on those related to DER witness testing
Support regulatory filings such as the integrated resource plan and rate case as well as associated responses to stakeholder data requests. This includes serving as the distribution expert on the GPC Rules, Regulations, and Rate Schedules for Electric Service.

JOB SUMMARY
These positions will report to the Atlanta Rd TMC Supervisor in Metro West Atlanta. Responsibilities include the ability to lead the Atlanta Rd area's line maintenance program, preparing and closing capital and maintenance work orders, coordinating material needs, overseeing maintenance and inspection programs and contractors, entering and reviewing data, coordinating work activities with other departments, patrolling transmission lines, coordinating repairs on transmission lines and associated equipment, attending Planning & Pre-construction meetings, provide workplan direction and technical support for the TMC Line and Contract crews located in their assigned area as well as local outage response leadership. The TMC Line Engineer must have a positive attitude, work well in a team environment, and possess excellent customer service skills for interaction with customers and property owners.
This position will be filled at Level 3-6 Exempt dependent upon the qualifications, skills and experience of the successful candidate. The successful candidate must live within commutable distance of Atlanta Rd TMC or Sands Place OpHQ, Marietta, GA or be willing to quickly relocate. Relocation assistance available if needed.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the day-to-day activities of the Lines team. Support the daily activities of Transmission Line Maintenance crews.
Develop and schedule the TMC Lines Maintenance work plan.
Assist the TMC crews in ensuring that all transmission line work complies with the current Georgia Power Company specifications and standards.
Have no Operational Incidents and achieve SAIDI and SAIFI goals for the year.
Track and operate within the O&M budget monthly.
Track and operate within the Capital budget monthly.
Support TMC Line crews with complex or unique clearance requests.
Support hot stick work as necessary.
Assist the TMC Line crews with the access requirements of a job and in acquiring specialized equipment as needed.
Assist with switching as needed.
Help ensure complete and accurate transmission line data and documentation, including STOMP data.
Review all TMC Transmission Line aerial inspection reports and initiate appropriate action.
Monitor and maintain instantaneous operation information and assist with information gathering on all other operation/lockout events detailed in "post incident" reports.
Investigate all outages/operations per the Patrol Procedure for Bulk Power Lines Operations to discover and report root cause. Utilize foot patrols, aerial patrols as necessary. Evaluate system outages to ensure proper operation of equipment and that methods of restoration were efficient.
Ensure the timely completion of all documentation including Morning Report follow-up, assignment of ULs, ProCard, and WO closeout.
Interface directly with all external requestors.
Participate in TMC Line Maintenance on-call rotation to provide trouble response and outage restoration.
Complete required maintenance of transmission line switches to include routine inspections and repairs.
Support capital transmission line projects for the TMC by participating in planning and pre-construction meetings.
Coordinate and schedule transmission line switch installations.
Assist Line Engineering in analyzing existing line and ROW (right of way) conditions.
Work with Transmission Support to solve technical line issues as well as best practices within Line Maintenance.
Monitor the progress of construction.
Coordinate and assist in performing final line inspections.
Support Contract Transmission Line Crews working for the TMC.
Order materials, arrange outages, coordinate permits, clearances, switching, and traffic control.
Ensure that all work performed by contract crews working for the TMC is completed per GPC standards, on schedule, and within budget constraints.
Verify and track contract crew invoices.
Provide Comptroller with UL estimates at the end of each month.
Work with other TMC Transmission Line Engineers/Specialists to become proficient in the installation and maintenance of transmission line switches and motor operators.
Focus on Safety Excellence. Assist in providing a safe working environment for all Transmission line activities in the TMC. Apply Human Performance tools, concepts and processes to foster continuous improvement in safety performance.
Work with storm teams following major weather events. This may require out of state travel.
Develop relationships with other workgroups within Power Delivery and External Affairs.

Responsible for leading a crew in the installation and repair of below and above ground gas facilities. Responds to above and below ground emergencies and possess the ability to independently manage NOI level emergency situations. Utilizes GIS and other technologies to plan the repair and maintenance of gas main and services. Operates heavy equipment. Provides leadership and direction for crew members. Responsible for completing a variety of tasks associated with the installation, activation, deactivation, maintenance and inspection of gas meters and regulators. Also responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on customers appliances and other gas equipment. Responds to routine and emergency requests for gas service and is responsible for repairing leaks on meter sets. This is a bargaining unit position (IBEW Local 1997) and is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads a crew that responds to emergencies including NOI level emergency management situation
Performs leak repairs and pipeline maintenance.
Utilizes TDW / Mueller MHP tapping and stopping equipment to perform basic level taps and stops during pipeline maintenance and emergency situations.
Performs electro fusion and external heat applied plastic welding on plastic pipe during repairs and maintenance.
Operates and maintains valves to include emergency valves.
Operates heavy equipment and machinery.
Analyzes and interprets risks associated with worksite and regulatory condition.
Efficiently works a route to complete customer and compliance orders in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures and operator qualifications procedures.
Performs service activation, deactivation, and leak repairs.
Performs leak investigation.
Performs basic pipefitting on meter sets (remove meter, install fuel line cut off, replace union).
Coordinates and performs basic operation, maintenance, inspection and repair on all above ground valves to include grease, tighten, operate and inspect.
Performs meter inspections and paints as needed to maintain compliance with atmospheric corrosion.
Performs miscellaneous inspections, as required.
Completes DIMP (Distribution Integrity Management Program) form as required and other necessary documentation of work.
Interacts with customers to answer questions, explain work performed, give instructions for operation of appliances, and promote gas usage.
Identifies abnormal operating conditions and takes appropriate actions.
Actively and accurately captures documentation in the Mobile Data Terminal and RT-ARM.

JOB SUMMARY
The Customer Service Manager is responsible for leading the Customer Care Center's inbound residential customer care teams, comprised of more than 100 employees -- including both service consultants and supervisors -- who operate in a 24/7 environment to deliver world-class service to internal and external customers.

Description
OPERATIONS MECHANIC
The primary function of this role is to provide safe, reliable, cost effective service for customers, and stakeholders. To ensure adherence to compliance related tasks, provide good customer service. This position requires the ability to respond to gas leak emergency orders, investigate, identify, resolve, mitigate, or process for resolution. Part of that task requires being the first responder to incidents and working with emergency responders for local agencies and other entities. At times working in potentially gaseous environments and wearing critical personal protective equipment. Duties include, and not limited to the following: leak investigation, pipe fitting, installing support brackets for but not limited to meter set and risers restoring service to natural gas appliances, assess gas appliance operation and perform safety checks, inform customers of findings and document notification, locating underground company facilities, using small tools, hand drills, hand digging, working in a confined space i.e. [attics, crawl spaces, excavations, constructions zones, rooftops, etc.] Working in residential, commercial, industrial settings, indoors, outdoors, 24 hours a day seven days a week, in all different weather conditions. The ability to respond to after-hours emergency callouts. Good communication skills with internal and external parties, computer, and technology use and higher than average level of proficiency in all areas. Must be able to demonstrate competencies in jobs tasks associated with this role.
Employee must obtain certification as an Operations Mechanic and be qualified in all Operator Qualification tasks.
DISTRIBUTION MECHANIC

This task requires at times, being the first responder to incidents and working with emergency responders for local agencies and other entities. At times working in potentially gaseous environments and wearing critical personal protective equipment. WORK LOCATION
This position will be based out of Birmingham, AL or Atlanta, GA, however candidates living outside of the area may be considered with the expectation that they could successfully telework and would be willing to travel to work and/or field location on a routine (to be determined) and as-needed basis.
Relocation is not offered for this position.
Travel expectations - approximately 25% per year, to include both office and field locations as dictated by business need.
Majority of work can be performed remotely (telework/work from home).
POSITION SUMMARY
This position supports the Operational Technology (OT) Cyber Security group within the Technical Services I&C Systems and Field Support Organization of T&PS. This position supports the Generation Cyber Security Program and NERC CIP requirements.
This position will serve as administrative support for the Southern Kiosk Defender (SKiD) environment and respond to positive detections on the SKiDs. The SKiD is a hardware appliance that scans removeable media for malware. This role will also monitor vulnerabilities for Generation OT environment and provide initial triage to Cyber Security Incident Response Plan activations. A substantial portion of this role is spent documenting and writing reports.
This role will also perform duties ranging from cyber assessments at plant sites focusing on CIP and Cyber SOEs, cyber security reviews for new projects, developing technical documentation, and participating on project teams as needed based on upcoming regulations.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Incident Response Log and provide initial triage for Incident Response Plan (IRP) activations.
Develop SME status for Southern Kiosk Defender (SKiD) management console, architecture, troubleshooting, etc. Respond to positive SKiD detections. Follow mitigation steps as applicable.
Review and provide direction on vulnerabilities within OT environment, as applicable.
Understand the Generation Cyber Security Program and Policies that apply to all Generation facilities.
Understand the NERC CIP requirements for assets containing Low Impact BES Cyber Systems.
Deliver a cohesive and consistent message about the Program, Policies, and Requirements when interacting with customers and colleagues.
Lead site assessments regarding Policies and Requirements. Document cyber assessment in formal report.
Provide technical analysis by conducting Cyber Security Reviews for T&PS managed and plant managed projects.
Develop and maintain technical documentation such as reports, network diagrams, etc.
Participate on project teams as needed to implement NERC CIP requirements.
Monitor IR and SKiD mailboxes and provide prompt response to requests.
Travel Required for position - approximately 25% per year.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems is preferred.
Technical Certifications and/or work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
I&C field and/or plant experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Detail oriented.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to draft technical reports based on assessment findings.
Experience working with audit documentation and processes.

JOB SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for System Administration of the Southern Company computing environment and management of the Field Mobile hardware offerings. This includes:

This position will be filled at an Exempt Level 5. Customer Solutions - Energy Services is an unregulated business within Georgia Power Company. The Energy Services business focuses on customer premise energy conservation projects and energy efficiency upgrades.
This new Sr. Construction Coordinator position will coordinate energy services projects primarily in the MUSH market in Metro Atlanta and north Georgia areas. They will ensure efficient project execution that fully meets customer deadlines and contract requirements. They will manage the schedules, work scopes, and budgets for projects and the performance of all engineering, construction, and safety contractors. This position will also work closely with Solutions Sales Executives and fully support sales efforts by providing technical expertise and contractor feedback and recommendations.

This position provides support for operating issues affecting the reliable operations of the bulk electric system for Southern Company Services Transmission's Energy Management Systems (EMS). This position is responsible for the implementation, execution, and improvement of operational processes to ensure system availability for all computer systems supported by the EMS department and used by Southern Company operating companies' transmission control centers (OPCO TCC's) as well as the power coordination center (PCC) and their respective back-office personnel.
The successful candidate will provide 24x7 operational support for the EMS/SCADA Systems (current Spectrum Power 3/future OSI Monarch) and other tools that support the operational needs of our customers. This role will focus on administration of Unix/Linux servers, Windows servers, and Windows desktop computers that are built and maintained by the EMS department or provided by solution vendors. Additional responsibilities may include use or maintenance of supporting systems such as backup solutions (Networker/Veeam), source code management (GitHub), package deployment (RPM/Yum, SCCM), solution and performance monitoring (Zenoss, ArcSight), and incident or change management (Remedy).

Required Skills and Knowledge:

Summary of Position Duties

Direct personnel engaged in controlling or operating electrical distribution equipment or machinery
Calculate load estimates or equipment requirements to determine required control settings
The Operator must have the ability to troubleshoot and exercise sound judgment related to the service restoration process. This is performed by thorough electrical systems analysis and dispatching of resources such as employees, crews, and equipment to specific customer outage areas. Competent computer skills, ability to focus on the tasks at hand, and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously are required for the position of Distribution System Operator. This is a safety sensitive position and all applicable corporate policies and guidelines must be followed.
This demanding, but rewarding, position requires rotating twelve hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends and holidays. In addition, availability to work outside of normal shift hours during "call out" emergencies and severe weather is required. Candidates must be comfortable working indoors, in a closed facility with no windows, at a structured work station that requires sitting/standing for long periods of time.
Successful candidate will enter the Operator-in-Training program, which consists of structured training classes along with on-the-job training AND must successfully complete the Distribution System Operator-in-Training program within the designated time frame (18 to 24 months) to maintain employment as a Distribution System Operator. Once an operator makes Level B they receive a 7% premium on the first paycheck of each month.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The objective of the Community Development division of Georgia Power's Community and Economic Development Department is to support local communities in building or enhancing a solid, investment-worthy foundation for growth and prosperity to attract residents, jobs, capital investment. The division does so through the provision of consulting and technical assistance related to leadership development, strategic planning, community capacity building, business, and economic development.
The primary responsibility of the Community Development Manager is to provide the foundations for recruitment and retention of jobs and investment for Georgia by engaging in both community development and economic development project work. It requires providing guidance to new business prospects, existing customers, and external partners. This value-added approach to community development is intended to ensure that companies have an adequate inventory of potential sites, buildings, and skilled workforce, and to assist them in assessing potential locations for new or expanded business. Lead strategic planning sessions for local, regional, and statewide economic development organizations.
Lead special initiatives for communities in assigned region.
Develop curriculum and/or other content for local, regional, and statewide organizations.
Facilitate major regional or statewide initiatives like the Georgia Academy for Economic Development, The Georgia Initiative for Community Housing, the Georgia Municipal Association Placemaking Collaborative, to name a few.
Provide professional project management support of new business recruitment efforts and projects.
Provide professional project management support to assist existing businesses with expansion or retention efforts.
Provide region customers access to high quality research, engineering and creative design support. Take responsibility for the development and timely submittal of responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) from communities within your territory.
Be knowledgeable about the region served - its natural and human resources, transportation, and utility infrastructure, advantages for development, industrial parks, available buildings, tax and development incentives, financing programs and other assets.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's Level Degree highly preferred.
Certifications such as AICP, CEcD, CCIM, CMF, EDFP, GCED a plus

Project management, communication (oral and written), facilitation and problem-solving skills to coordinate most aspects of customer's (existing customer, new business project, community, or special project) need and to understand, identify, and meet critical time constraints.

deadlines and obligations.
Candidate must have strong work ethic as job requirements often lead to overnight and early morning/evening meeting and activities.

Knowledge of economic and community development concepts are very helpful.
Ability to propose and develop creative solutions which anticipate client needs and maximize the use of technology.
Strong computer skills across a wide variety of products (word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software) are desirable.
Excellent presentation skills to provide data or information to wide and diverse audiences which may include community and political/elected leaders, company officers, consultants, state partners and the public.

Job Description
The Application Analyst position is part of the Corporate Services Systems - Electric Application Portfolio as part of a team responsible for providing support to Corporate (Physical) Security solutions across the Operating Companies. The position will be responsible for ensuring delivery of timely, quality solutions and support for the Corporate (Physical) Security Business Partners.
Position responsibilities include: Providing functional and technical subject matter expertise for Corporate (Physical) Security application solutions; Performing configuration, integration, testing, and implementation of Corporate (Physical) Security application solutions (inclusive of vendor solutions); Performing problem/root cause analysis and resolution (production support) for Corporate (Physical) Security application solutions; Providing consultation for application life cycle management; Staying abreast of emerging business technology trends and needs.
The Application Analyst must have strong consultative and analytical skills, and the ability to deliver innovative solutions to business problems. The position will require excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
Job Responsibilities
Implement, integrate, and/or support timely, cost effective, and high-quality solutions to meet or exceed Business Partner expectations, using Southern Company approved methodologies and standards
Provide timely root cause analysis, consistent & effective production support and maintenance / enhancements for existing applications

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or another related field is required
Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience working in a technology organization supporting complex enterprise application systems is preferred
Experience with large-scale, vendor developed / packaged applications is preferred
Working knowledge of software development technologies, methodology, tools, and computing infrastructure
Experience with PowerShell is preferred
Experience with SQL Server database queries, scripting, and reporting is preferred
Experience with developing Power BI reporting is preferred
Experience with software development methodologies, including waterfall and agile, is preferred
Experience in application development and support, with .NET framework using C#, is a plus
Must be able to pass Insider Threat Program (ITP) and NERC CIP background screenings
