Utilities Repair Technicians needed at The Large Power Systems Division located in Lafayette, IN. In this role, you will be responsible to mechanically troubleshoot and repair complex domestic and foreign machines and related equipment that perform assembly, torque, and material movement functions in the assembly areas. Applicant must possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair the following types of machines and components: mechanical repairs to utilities, test cells, building and grounds, pump rebuilds, HVAC, boiler operation and assembly maintenance.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Extensive experience in the mechanical and/or electrical repair of machine tools and related equipment is helpful.

  • Must have successfully completed an approved HVAC training program and possess practical experience in the HVAC field.

  • Possess the ability to install, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, precision bearings, HVAC, and a variety of other controllers on the machines in the assembly areas.

  • Example of related equipment: Boiler operation, pumps, P&H cranes and hoists, conveyors, torque tools, washers, ABB robots, paint booth, Test Cells.

  • Applicant should have a thorough understanding of leveling and alignment of machines, alignment of shafts, gearing, welding, lubrication principles, pipefitting, and tube bending.

  • Applicant must be willing to work overtime opportunities to support production demands.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Industrial utilities and repair experience.

  • A background with the ability to troubleshoot and repair large scale dynamometers will be helpful.

  • Applicant must have the ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic systems which may include but not be limited to compressors, valves, etc....

  • Applicant should have proven boiler operator experience.

  • Applicant must be able to read and understand mechanical prints and possess a basic electrical troubleshooting skill.

  • Applicant must possess basic welding and cutting skills and the ability to operate basic tools to complete the utilities controller job.

  • A background with ABB robots will be helpful.

  • Self-starter and self-motivated individual who works well individually in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Candidates for all positions must have the ability to work in a fast pace, medium to heavy duty assembly, technical environment.

  • Work may involve frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for 8+ hours.

  • All positions also require the ability to lift 40 pounds and withstand frequent repetitive movement of hands with a variety of tooling.

This position description is for Level 4 CNC Machinist within the Large Power Systems Division located in our Lafayette, IN facility.

Candidates must have a strong background with experience in boring milling, drilling and reaming. Must have knowledge of CNC programs and be able to make offset adjustments as required.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for production, quality, housekeeping and other related duties associated with the operation and set up of CNC and NC controlled machines, transport material, audit, operate wash tanks and operate some manual operations.

  • Interpret CNC programs Job Instruction Sheet, CMM data, Gageit (gage tracking) and accountable for processes by monitoring Infinity.

  • At times may be required to work overtime to support the manufacturing requirements.

  • Must have the ability to trouble shoot and solve problems dealing with machine, tooling, and program malfunction and solve everyday problems.

  • Must be able to manage time and work well in a team environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment: multi-axis CNC machining experience, ability to program CNC machines with Fanuc, Siemens or other controllers.

  • Strong working knowledge of machining principles; basic SPC, blueprint reading; understanding of geometric tolerances; ability to interpret CMM reports; quality data; and work experience in a lean manufacturing environment.

In this role you will assemble components and perform adjustments on both diesel and natural gas engines. You could also perform assembly work in sub-assembly areas directly associated with prime product engine assembly. In addition, assembly technicians prepare engines for testing, painting and shipping of prime product.

  • Assembly of large diesel and natural gas engines

Basic Qualifications: Applicant must meet ONE of the following criteria:

  • 6 months Caterpillar Logistics Assembly experience- OR

  • Two years manufacturing experience- OR

As a Warehouse Associate at Caterpillar, you will perform a variety of functions to check, receive, and verify accuracy of part locations and quantities. In addition to counting parts and filling orders, you will conduct first line, basic quality assessment of parts for damage and defects.

Shift:

  • Third Shift : Sunday - Thursday, 11:00pm - 7:00am

Starting Pay: $17.30 per hour, $1.50 hourly premium (for second shift and third shift)

Description:

Lead a team of program, project management, and Agile professionals who are assigned to multiple individual programs, projects, or teams. Direct day to day work assignments while coaching, mentoring and helping set priorities. Position requires broad experience in Project Management tools and processes, and ability to: facilitate projects, lead chartering sessions, develop / validate network diagrams, lead integration and compression sessions.

Job Duties:

Direct reports would include Project Coordinators, Program Specialists, Agile Facilitators, and Agile Coaches. Team will be expected to complete complex programs in one or more business sectors and manage programs on time and within budget, while meeting the requirements of the customer. Responsible to coach, mentor, and supervise staff in daily assignments and activities and ensure that professional project management and Agile techniques and tools are used.

This level of leader will have had one or more previous team leader assignments. Previous supervisory experience is not required. Position will support a diverse customer base that includes Cat Digital, RI Services, RISM, CISD, Global Rental & Used, and Job Site Solutions that have differing program management requirements.

The incumbent's team will be focusing on multiple programs in this assignment. The Manager role accounts for 75% of this assignment and the incumbent will have a smaller role of providing direct customer support.

As a manager, the individual will first be accountable for the oversight of multiple program and project managers (15-18) and the projects or Agile teams they are supporting.

Incumbent must be knowledgeable and ensure that all division or department governance processes are followed when necessary (NPI, RBM, S&OP, etc). Additionally, must develop networks and execute a communication strategy to obtain resources and cooperation needed and remove roadblocks so that they can ensure the success of their team. The Opportunity

We have an exciting role open within Caterpillar as the Senior Manager Pricing. This position is responsible for the Resource Industries segment Pricing process, execution and strategy. In this role, you will be a strategic partner to the business General Managers and VPs within Resource Industries, providing business insights for the Commercial organizations and Product Group.

What You Will Do:

  • Manages a pricing team which provides professional guidance and expertise to key business partners. Executes pricing and/or sales variance processes and improvements as well as personnel management.

Job Summary:

This team member supports senior leaders on their internal communications and message alignment; creates employee- and executive-facing communications content; participates in the planning and execution of employee communications programs within the organization; and assists on special projects for the broader function. The team member has experience working in a tech-based environment at a large, matrixed organization. Decisions made by this position are less routine and with intermediate risk issues. What You Will Do:

  • Supporting business leaders in the development of internal communication strategies, message alignment, and communications materials (presentations, SharePoint sites, etc.)

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and leaders and advising on the suitability of approaches for communication efforts.

  • Developing and distributing communications materials, such as written communications, presentation materials, etc. to deliver key messages.

  • Tracking and analyzing metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communications.

The position generally owns several communications vehicles and manages several non-repeating projects, both internally and externally, through completion. Internal communication outlets utilized could include newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, intranet, videos/streaming media, employee meetings, correspondence, special events, news conferences, cascades, etc.

Communications Business Partnership

  • Advises Cat Digital leaders on how communications can support and enable their business objectives, including strategic communications consultation, message development, communications planning, and cross-division alignment.

  • Proactively works with senior leaders to understand business priorities, develop and align messaging, and cascade messaging across channels.

  • Takes into account competing and changing priorities, resources, and time demands to produce plans that are realistic and achievable.

  • Creates visually compelling communications collateral to engage executive and employee audiences.

Content Creation

  • Actively contributes to division editorial planning & execution and supports cascading of relevant business information, including researching and writing articles, planning meetings, and developing presentations.

  • Identifies the proper channels to reach target audiences.

  • Manages editorial projects through the entire lifecycle of an assignment, from planning through content creation and distribution to target audiences

Communications Channel Management & Operations

  • Plans and implements deployment of strategic messaging, according to business needs.
