This Manufacturing Engineer Manager will guide and develop a team of Planning and Manufacturing Engineers to achieve safety goals, capacity requirements, product cost and quality commitments.
Specifically in this role you can expect to:
Engages in creative problem solving to address operational issues including ergonomic/ safety, efficiency improvements, process bottlenecks, quality concerns.
Work with team to ensure manufacturing processes are effectively documented through work instructions and operating procedures.
Active engagement with design engineering to evaluate current or proposed designs and / or deviation requests to achieve manufacturing objectives.
New capital deployment including identifying opportunities, developing business case, capital implementation and successful production transition.
Understand forecasted demand, conduct capacity analysis, and ensure manpower and capital is in place to achieve requirements.
Guides Manufacturing Engineering and support functions for current manufacturing processes, new process justification and implementation, machines, equipment, tooling, work standards, programming, and technical troubleshooting to provide the most efficient and economical manufacturing of quality products.
Engages in creative problem solving to address operational issues including safety, efficiency improvements, process bottlenecks, and quality concerns.
Work with team to ensure manufacturing processes are effectively documented through work instructions and operating procedures.
Active engagement with design engineering to evaluate current or proposed designs and/or deviation requests to achieve manufacturing goals.
Coordinates all capital projects related to the facility including forecasting, planning, and monitoring projects to completion. New capital deployment including identifying opportunities, developing business case, capital implementation and successful production transition.
Understand forecasted demand, conduct capacity analysis, and ensure manpower and capital is in place to achieve requirements.
To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic qualifications):
A bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory role.
At least 5 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
Demonstrated experience working with manufacturing systems, SAP / SAP ME preferred, and managing business processes.
Significant Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma.
Top candidates will also bring:
Work experience across multiple departments across the facility (i.e., Assembly, Fabrications, Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, etc.)
Working knowledge of Burn to shape, Forming, Machining, Fabrication, Paint, Assembly and Test processes
At least 8 years' experience evaluating process and technical solutions

Job summary:
Caterpillar's Integrated Drivetrain division (IDT) designs, validates, manufactures, and supports mechanical and electric drivetrain components and systems used across the full Caterpillar product line (100hp - 4,000hp).
In this role, you will be the leader of the IDT validation and controls teams at Technical Center - Building G, a 110,000sqft fully integrated testing facility. You will be the senior leader responsible for the direction of a staff of approximately 80 engineers, technicians, mechanics, and leaders to plan, execute, and document drivetrain validation; to design, calibrate, and validate drivetrain control software; and to engage partner organizations within the matrix to ensure excellence in those functions.
You will be tasked to deliver electrification support and transmission software re-architecting in the next 3 to 5 years. Our current electrification initiatives will require the planning and execution of a massive validation effort, including facility upgrades, capital planning, and capital execution; securing and training staff to execute the validation tasks; and managing the timely and successful execution of design and process validation of many new designs. In the same period the Next Generation Transmission Controls project will be re-architecting and recalibrating the transmission software of several machines to ensure optimum mechanical drivetrain control and continued drivetrain performance and differentiation.

What you will do:
Manage all aspects of a highly talented and driven organization of 80 engineers, technicians, mechanics, and leaders to execute all aspects of drivetrain validation and controls development.
Manage and maintain the physical plant of Building G, including the labs, the instrumentation, the shop, and the technical services.
Within the job scope ensure the success of electrification initiatives, including drivetrain validation capital planning and execution, facility footprint management, staffing and training, validation plan design and execution, and matrix partner engagement.
Steward the continued execution of Next Generation Transmission Controls.
Work with Drivetrain platform teams and leaders to understand current and future drivetrain validation and controls needs, ensure facilities, staff, and schedules can meet the needs of the broad drivetrain community, and ensure the continued update and growth of validation and controls procedures.
Review and update drivetrain validation capabilities and footprint, grow leverage of a global workforce, increase the simulation density in drivetrain controls, and ensure the continued growth of analytics in drivetrain validation and controls.
Ensure that drivetrain validation and controls at Caterpillar is and remains globally competitive.
What you must have:
Bachelor's degree in an accredited engineering curriculum.
15+ years of engineering experience with increasing responsibility across multiple component areas.
3+ years of direct managerial experience.
Strong communication, motivation, planning, and project execution skills.
Demonstrated capability to leverage a matrixed organization to accomplish challenging goals.

Previous experience with the validation and/or controls of drivetrain components.
A track record of generating and maintaining engagement from a diverse workforce while achieving excellent results.

Demonstrated success in the management of intensive long term R&D projects, including NPI, CPI, or other projects.

Investigate Logistics and IRA line-down issues to improve Execution team capability
Lead Receiving Dock supplier improvement projects related to ASN grief, SP20 label compliance, unapproved packaging, order quantity mismatches, transportation issues, supplier/warehouse cross-tagging issues, etc.
Manage all fleet capital projects and capital forecasts; lead vehicle rationalization efforts to right-size the fleet and ensure MHE vehicles are assigned to the appropriate need
Run 5S RIWs in the shop to improve safety, cleanliness, footprinting, and area layout
Analyze data to support review of material sourcing decisions, minimum order quantity values, kitting replenishment vs. lineside, and outstanding deviations
Review all Supply Chain metrics Power BI dashboards to look for improvement opportunities
Create a depository and filing method to track all Logistics standard work; make appropriate updates to the standard work and standardize the format
Support all Logistics team member needs on facility transformation projects
Cover Logistics Execution team member areas as needed; also provide training to new team members

As a Distribution Supervisor, you will create and maintain a safe work environment while leading the receipt, processing, packaging, storage, order filling and shipment of parts to Caterpillar dealers, Distribution Centers and Regional Distribution Centers to support the end users of Caterpillar equipment. Reporting directly to this position are Hourly Warehouse personnel along with flexible agency workers.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Supervises hourly personnel to ensure completion of assigned tasks in accordance with established processes.
Ensures parts inventory is received, processed and stored in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
Responds to dealer calls and makes immediate decisions to resolve the issue.
Contributes to the development of an effective work force by engaging and mentoring employees to follow all established work processes.
Provides necessary on the job training while fostering and mentoring team members to help them be successful.
Improves PQVC (productivity, quality, velocity and cost) metrics by taking ownership of the process.
Leads teams working on problem resolution and process improvement.
Maintains high employee morale by ensuring established work standards and disciplines are delivered.
Conducts daily safety meetings to ensures that employees have the proper equipment to perform their jobs safely.
Provides training or counseling to correct any unsafe behavior observed by those who do not follow set work standards.
Incumbent must possess knowledge of contract terms and enforces the language.
Conducts grievance meetings with employees and union committeemen if at a bargained facility.
Prepares and maintains necessary paperwork for hourly payroll utilizing Kronos or other approved time keeping method for approving absences, overtime and attendance.
Responsible for various projects and reports.
Supervises or manages a work unit of hourly employees where planning, scheduling, monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates is required.
Responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates.Limited travel required (

Job Summary:
As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you will improve quality, velocity, safety, and cost metrics by aiding the assigned department in the form of data analysis, investigation, problem solving, and process validation.in Seguin, Texas.
What you will do:
Provide technical support through data analytics and problem solving
Train, coach and provide feedback to the Operations team on the assembly process
Identify and track key metrics related to assigned department or function
Define and optimize assembly process steps and standard work based on best practice
Review assembly processes to keep team focused on key priorities and improvement objectives
Perform audits to ensure materials, processes, and tools conform to quality standards
Submit and assist with the resolution of continuous improvement ideas
Provide information to supervisors and managers about processes within assigned area
Lead and facilitate small business team activities within assigned work area
Respond to engineering related line calls to support the assembly process
Investigate and resolve Manufacturing Engineering defects and other quality improvement initiative

Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Senior Parts & Service Marketing Consultant position. This truck engine parts marketing consultant will play a key role in extending the tail of the On-Highway Truck engine business. As the legacy truck engine population ages and the customer base evolves this position must leverage customer data, industry trends, dealer, and independent shop feedback to drive strategic solutions to keep engagement throughout the dealer network. This position will drive commercial strategy through ownership of variance programs, field and dealer network support, and customer focused marketing.
Job Duties:
As a Senior Parts and Service Marketing Consultant, you will serve as the expert responsible for the development and execution of specialized initiatives to drive profitable parts and service revenue. The role of this assignment is that of an individual contributor who has established a reputation as an expert in a specific parts and service marketing field. Assignments/projects are complex and strategic in nature. Must communicate effectively across product, industry, dealer and/or customer audiences to gain understanding and acceptance of ideas and recommendations. Proven leadership in innovation of new or improved ideas/processes is key to this role, along with the execution to the market. Work across various functional business units to achieve parts objectives and work with global partners along reps, dealers, and customers to implement parts marketing activities and drive parts growth.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Serve as team lead for business planning and forecasting process for on-highway truck engine parts
Manage on-highway parts variance budget, national programs, and provide field sales variance consultation to ASRs and Account Managers
Serve as primary interface with industry data sources Polk and MacKay
Manage the on-highway truck sales dashboard for use with ASRs and dealers
Own STU and data integrity across Cat and TEPS dealer network
Define competitive landscape across channels and deliver growth strategies to extend the tail of the on-highway truck engine business
Develop and deliver sales tools and training for solutions to reps and dealers
Mentor team members and ASRs
Drive customer focused marketing strategy in alignment with the Cat Reman Marketing team
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years of parts/product/product support experience
Previous experience working directly with dealers on an ongoing basis
Minimum bachelor's degree education
