Description:

The purpose of this job is to prepare, analyze and record various accounting data for proper financial statement processing and to provide functional accounting expertise and leadership both within a defined team and throughout the division. This job helps ensure conformity to company accounting practices and procedures and significantly contributes to division wide process improvements.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

Depending on the structure of the team, this general position could perform any or several of the following: analyze and record direct material purchases and prepare related material variance reports, analyze and record sales/cost of sales activities, reconcile a variety of complex inventory, receivable or payable general ledger accounts, coordinate facility closing responsibilities and related database table maintenance, analyze and resolve problems related to facility direct material invoice vs. receipt imbalances, contribute to indirect inventory accounting, analysis, and journalization process improvements.

• Work Supporting Business Process: Prepare, analyze, and record accounting entries. Reconcile a variety of complex inventory, receivable, or payable accounts.

• Accounting/System Knowledge: Ensure conformity to company accounting practices and procedures. Possesses knowledge required to contribute to division wide process improvements.

Purpose :

To manage the business process development, improvement, and ongoing support of Caterpillar's Enterprise Ethics & Compliance Program within the Division. To manage and provide centralized business resources for business operations to mitigate the risks of fraud and regulatory non-compliance in alignment with Corporate objectives. This position will have dotted-line reporting and accountability to the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer.

JOB DUTIES:

This position is responsible for all Compliance Risks associated with Caterpillar's Enterprise Ethics & Compliance Program.

Consistent with Caterpillar's Enterprise Ethics & Compliance Program, the incumbent will lead the development and ensure implementation of the ethics and compliance program within the Division to include:

• Provide leadership and support to leaders in fostering and enhancing a values-based culture.

• Provide leadership to actively interface and collaborate with all Compliance Risk process partners and act as an advisor to senior management for interpreting, analyzing, using and effectively responding to compliance information.

• Develop and maintain a close working relationship and coordination with the Corporate Compliance Attorneys, the General Manager responsible for Compliance and the Business Manager to ensure effective, efficient and compliant business processes, annual action plans and metrics for the Division.

• Establish and maintain strong partnering relationships with all risk owners in Caterpillar's Ethics & Compliance Program; develop and maintain a close working relationship and coordination with the Office of Business Practices.

• Lead the development and implementation of worldwide controls/processes to ensure compliance with Caterpillar's Code, policies and procedures, and applicable laws by the Division.

• Support in leading the Division's annual Ethics & Compliance Risk Assessment in coordination with the Business Risk Management (BRM) process; identify key compliance risks and how they impact the Division.

• Deliver targeted communications on the Ethics & Compliance Program to the Division.

• Work with the HR Department to ensure completion of required Ethics & Compliance training (Annual Assessment & Questionnaire, required, job role, leadership) within the Division.

• Oversee the development and timely completion of any applicable remediation plans to correct the issues identified through the course of a compliance audit, assessment or OBP investigation.

• Work with the export compliance team and implement processes and resources centrally and regionally to ensure compliance with global trade regulations and U.S. export controls and Enterprise procedures.

• Oversee the coordination of worldwide policies and procedures with those of the Enterprise.

• Provide leadership in developing relationships with the appropriate departments to ensure clear and effective implementation of policies.

• Coordinate with process partners to identify and prioritize key compliance risks to the Division and develop action plans to support the most effective integration of compliance processes.

• Design, develop, implement, monitor, and report compliance metrics to demonstrate Ethics & Compliance Program effectiveness within the Division. Provide reports to senior leaders, to the Office of Business Practices and to Risk Owners as required.

• Serve as a key contact, where appropriate, for Corporate Compliance Audits and Assessments.

• Set the tone on communications and play a key role delivering ethics and compliance learning needs within the Division.

• Participate in process-partner projects to improve overall ethics and compliance as well as culture alignment with Our Values in Action.

• Provide visibility of compliance issues/concerns to the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, Office of Business Practices, Divisional leadership, and Risk Owners.

• Identify process improvement opportunities for providing transparent transactional processes to increase the likelihood of consistent ethical behavior of employees at all levels.

• Coordinate with the appropriate Managers to provide Our Values in Action training to employees and timely training to new employees.

The position's primary customers are internal. The position will require some (approx 20%) travel, as the above-mentioned processes and responsibilities need to be implemented throughout 's global operations.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

The position requires thorough knowledge of the Division's business processes. Broad company knowledge and an understanding of Caterpillar's Ethics & Compliance Program, Our Values in Action, and the Enterprise Policies and Procedures are also required. The position requires a university degree or equivalent experience. In addition, 10 to 15 years of progressively responsible job-related experience is desired. JOB DUTIES:

The Sr. Project Manager is accountable for ensuring successful completion of projects, on-time, within budget, and error-free. The successful candidate will provide legal support on a broad range of pre-litigation and litigated matters involving commercial, products liability, and mass torts litigation. The candidate is expected to be familiar with eDiscovery, legal holds, case strategy, taking and responding to discovery, motions practice, trial experience, and/or appellate practice. This role will work directly with outside counsel on matters, including early case assessments, budgets, and review and management of outside counsel billings. Embedded Product Analytics uses quantitative methods to solve problems for internal and external Caterpillar customers by using data from sensors, on-board models, control algorithms, internal quality systems, and external quality systems. This is the third career level in engineering and represents a shift from learning and assisting to fully contributing to assignments that are broader, more complex, and challenging in nature.

The Analytics, Virtual Sensors and Controls Group develops onboard control algorithms to manage the storage and consumption of power (electrical, hydraulic and engine generated) of complex systems of Cat equipment and engines. Algorithms are typically used in to determine the optimum power distribution in battery hybrid machines, multiple engine systems and mixed electric and combustion powered systems. Our group works as a key technology provider to a wide variety of machine and engine product groups within Cat. Additionally, we develop algorithms to predict component failure over longer time scales (hours-weeks-months) to optimize machine maintenance, prevent unscheduled downtime and minimize customer cost. All of this is achieved by analyzing detailed equipment time series data, understanding the physical systems involved and developing cutting edge models using a combination of physics and data science methods. Typically, models are developed in Python, C/C++ or Matlab/Simulink, depending on application needs, and ultimately deployed either in cloud applications or on equipment ECM's at the edge.

Job Duties

For Caterpillar, digital means using technology to extract data from our machines and engines and transform it into valuable recommendations or -insights,- to help customers make better, more informed decisions and help Caterpillar make robust products with the lowest total ownership cost. Our products generate and process large amounts of data from sensors, on-board models, and control algorithms in real-time creating real-world machine usage information. Additionally, data is generated through numerous quality systems to provide information about internal and external quality defects and external failures. This data represents a rich body of machine information that is highly useful for product development and product improvement once mined, aggregated, and analyzed for actionable insight using embedded product analytics.

The key role of this engineering position is to move from learning and assisting others to fully contributing. At this level, engineers begin partnering with and providing technical guidance within and between units and other teams. Projects typically range from three months to two years. Ability to gather relevant information, compare data, identify relationships, and predict and manage failures is critical. Challenges include challenging the status quo and championing new initiatives, collaborating with team members and other teams, and keeping abreast of advancing technology. Decisions may affect the work group or project team, suppliers, multiple units, and both internal and external customers, and these decisions have significant impact on warranty, total cost of non-quality, customer perception, costs, sales, and the leveraging of technology.

The Supply Chain Planning Engineer 4 is apart of the Global Undercarriage Supply Chain team. You will be responsible for managing the global supply chain for the Undercarriage set of components. Working to both define and improve our supply network to better support our customers. This includes defining sourcing strategies for Prime Products and Aftermarkets for current products and NPI (New Product Introduction), as well as setting up a sustainable and agile supply network that delivers the lowest landed cost at the expected availability to support Caterpillar's growth targets. This role is a key supply chain position and may participate in facility or business division strategy development and target setting.

Responsibilities:

• Leads efforts which require the ability to build multi-functional networks to drive activities across multiple supply chain functions and non-supply chain divisions, such as site Purchasing and Operations

• Work with multiple Caterpillar facilities, Product Group's, Engineering, Machine Business Division and Aftermarket Division to determine sourcing strategy for components in scope to provide the best value to the Enterprise considering cost, availability, and assurance of supply to support Caterpillar's growth targets

• Lead project teams comprised of multi-functional resources, including business division, supply chain planning, global purchasing, operations, Global Transportation, Demand and Orders, Material Requirements Planning and Logistics to support NPI and sourcing projects to recommend optimal regional as well as global sourcing

• Potential to include large projects to strengthen the Caterpillar supply chain and ensure a reliable and sustainable supply to our customer while optimizing OPACC (Operating Profit after Capital Charge)

• Coordinates the long-term capacity planning with facilities to align demand forecast with global capacity

• Works collaboratively with facilities and multiple business division functions to address and resolve supply issues using root cause and corrective action (RCCA) and recovery planning by providing global approach leveraging alternative sources of supply to mitigate supply disruption risks as necessary

• Build and maintain strong credibility by building and maintaining positive relationships

• Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time

Basic Requirements:

• 5-10 years of progressively increasing responsibilities in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering or alternative background aligned with the job description

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, or Operations Management

• Prior experience and knowledge of lean concepts and tools

• Knowledge or and/or experience deploying and using 6Sigma Project Management principles

• Strong Business Acumen and Strategic Attributes; including strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve very complex problems

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Previous experience working with and within a global team

The Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) of Caterpillar has an opening for a Senior Product Support Field Engineer. The position will support complex technical product problem resolution with Caterpillar Dealers to ensure customers receive the product performance, reliability, durability, and availability expected as part of the Cat Brand Promise.

The incumbent is responsible for maintaining awareness and knowledge of large engines (3400, 3500, 3600, C27/32/175 engines series) product problems and support issues, working with various product groups and industry groups on a wide variety of large engine applications including Resource Industries, Electric Power, Oil and Gas, Marine, Locomotives, and Industrial.

• Make regular visits to customer sites and dealer workshops to support large engines
