JOB DUTIES: The key role of this position is to move from learning and assisting others to contributing independently. At this level, compliance professionals begin providing technical guidance within and between units and other teams. Ability to gather relevant information, compare and contrast data, identify relationships and predict and manage failures is critical. Opportunities include challenging the status quo and championing new initiatives, collaborating with team members and other teams, and keeping abreast of advancing technology and regulations. Decisions may affect the work group or project team, suppliers, multiple units and both internal and external customers.
Individuals may have multiple assignments during their tenure as a Compliance Professional. Assignments may require reviewing the work of other support personnel, provide technical advice to individuals at various levels in the organization and work with another unit or team. Assignments will become more complex and may require assuming a significant role, either as an individual contributor or as part of a project team, with increasing emphasis on analyzing, identifying and applying techniques to solve problems and make recommendations.
Compliance professionals must manage their own development, continuously learning through experience and staying abreast of technology and regulation changes. Key learning should be rounded out during this tenure including knowledge of Caterpillar and competitive product performance and application, understanding of customers' needs, working knowledge of key processes, data analysis and data extraction skills. Project management skills are being honed at this level.
Performs standard assignments that require some interpretation of data and regulations, identification of problem sources, and possible remedial actions.

Basic Qualifications:
Position requires a four year degree from an accredited college or university in an appropriate discipline

The Electric Power Division currently has an opening for a Aftermarket Account Manager - Electric Power on the Large Electric Power Aftermarket Services Development Team. The primary objective of this commercial role is to drive profitability growth (measured through operating profit after capital charge or OPACC) through focus on creating new, updating existing, or increasing engagement with Diesel generator set repair options.
This individual will work with sales execution teams, dealers, and customers to understand functional requirements and opportunities, then work with internal partners to develop business cases around the customer-backed opportunities. Once developed, this individual will then lead the go to market efforts to maximize the impact and engagement with the repair option. This individual will also provide diesel market expertise to support the internal partners and the improvement and refinement of aftermarket insight tools.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Utilize market intelligence, collaboration with sales teams and dealerships, and opportunity data to develop and define needs for repair options, focused on wear & maintenance and overhaul & rebuild repair options for diesel generator sets in prime and standby applications.
Drive alignment with cross enterprise process partners. Articulate customer needs back into objective actions for our internal partners. Review opportunity of aftermarket repair options from internal partners, providing commercial insight.
Drive incremental profitability growth through leadership on aftermarket initiatives with internal partners, focused on the development of new aftermarket repair options, improvement of existing repair options, or increased engagement with current repair options. Prioritize initiatives based on aftermarket growth impact.
Create go to market (GTM) strategies and material, drive alignment with sales execution teams on forecasts and customer value messaging for initiatives to support launch and maximize impact on aftermarket growth.
Consolidate and provide voice of customer, dealer, and market to internal partners or for other aftermarket related initiatives related to upgrades & retrofit repair options and new aftermarket services.
Support aftermarket insight and lead generation enhancement with Diesel market and repair option expertise
Support team, internal partners, and sales executions teams with Diesel market and repair option expertise
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline
3+ Years' experience in sales, marketing, or engineering in Electric Power, Industrial, Oil and Gas, or Marine industries.
Top Candidates will also have:
Experience with working between sales teams and engineering teams, transitioning customer requirements into functional specifications, and building business cases based of market opportunities
Electric Power Diesel market knowledge, sales or aftermarket
Experience with launching products or services
Experience with leading multi-discipline teams
Experience with insight enabling tools such as Jupiter, OLGA, Customer or Fleet 360, etc.

JON DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collects delinquent active contracts through telephone contact and field visits.
Authorizes and conducts equipment repossessions, which includes authorizing legal correspondence and arranging for transportation and safe storage of the units.
Reports past due results and recommends additions, deletions and modifications to the Potential Credit Loss Report.
Develops and nurtures a strong working relationship with dealers, Territory Managers and customers in an assigned portfolio.
Coordinates timely resolution of customer service issues on past due accounts.
Prepares their individual regular or legal collection past due reports and statistics for submission to management weekly or as requested by management.
May provide timely reporting of repossessed assets or accounts being referred for legal action to other business units as required, including Asset Management and Legal.
May provide status and historical reporting to Customer Accounts staff and management on collection activities and accounts placed for repossession within the department.
Reviews accounts that have been identified as non-collectable to establish deficiency amounts and determine the most appropriate and cost-effective means by which to pursue outstanding accounts balances.
Analyzes the ability to collect on recovery accounts, collects deficiency balances and coordinates recovery efforts through collection agencies.
Collects sale proceeds on private sales.
Contacts customers to identify willingness to pay and negotiate a lump sum balance payment, arrange a payment schedule or negotiate a contract settlement.
Evaluates the customer's credit worthiness if a payment schedule appears to be the best alternative for resolving an outstanding balance. To accomplish this, Dun & Bradstreet and credit bureau reports are reviewed and evaluated. If warranted, an individual asset search is completed.
Provides the customer credit rating on charged off accounts to credit bureaus and other potential debtors.
Serves as an active liaison between CFSC and the collection agencies to answer inquiries and resolve account issues promptly.
When warranted, works with approved collection agencies to recover outstanding balances when direct customer contact has been unsuccessful. Subsequently approves payment schedules or negotiated contract settlement suggested by the collection agent.
Makes recommendations to the Asset Management staff regarding how repossessed equipment should be liquidated.
Monitors and calculates potential loss on accounts with input from Asset Management/CRSI.
Establishes account deficiency through Strict Foreclosure or following the sale of equipment and subsequent collection of sale proceeds from the selling agent.
Prepares standardized transmittal forms for transfer of accounts to legal status.
Prepares documents necessary to write off the account balance following equipment liquidation and sends a notice of deficiency to the customer.
Prepares and files Proof of Claim on bankruptcy cases.
Based upon an analysis of accounts and customer assets, makes recommendation regarding the legal strategy for pursuing outstanding account balances.
Coordinates with the Legal Department to provide information needed to issue judgments and garnishments and pursue litigation.
Performs equipment audits on special accounts and authorizes and evaluates equipment inspections as needed.
Monitors payments received from legal accounts and takes appropriate collection action when a delinquency has been identified.
Monitors suspense payment balances originating from legal accounts.
Performs buyout calculations on legal accounts.
Prepares periodic status reports, summaries, statistics, results and historical reporting to Customer Accounts staff and management on repossession, recovery or legal activities on accounts.
Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data.
Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.

The team leader role accounts for up to 50% of this assignment the remainder of the time, the incumbent acts as an individual contributor, bringing technical expertise to the project as well. Team leaders must manage their own development, continuously learning through experience new business knowledge and skill. Program/project management and strong organizational skills are critical.
In this role you will contribute to developing and utilizing cutting edge technology to enable simulation-based testing to perform more comprehensive testing earlier in the design cycle. This enables much lower cost and high velocity iterations in design and results in much higher quality product going to production to serve our customers. As an Engineering Project Team Lead you will lead a team as well as contributing on projects related to developing testing technologies. These technologies include both Software in the Loop as well as Hardware in the Loop solutions, and include autonomy as well as electrification projects.
The team works in a dynamic environment that supports flexible work hours and a hybrid schedule, splitting time between working from home and in-person collaboration in the office in Mossville, IL.

This position is in Caterpillar's Global Sound and Cooling team and is focused on supporting product sound needs. This team is a great fit for people that enjoy being on a highly collaborative team, who like hands-on work, and want a challenging job troubleshooting highly technical issues. The Sound Test \ Validation Engineer works with the product design and commercial teams to set targets, evaluate designs, and create, then oversee the execution of testing/analysis programs to support product development. This includes both current and new products.
The Sound Test \ Validation Engineer will draft, coordinate, and execute sound testing plans. This requires the ability to use data acquisition equipment in field and lab environments, and to posses strong problem solving skills and a basic grasp of machine sound.

The Sound Test \ Validation Engineer is a critical position in the global sound community.
