Overview

The Director of Air Force Operations is responsible for business execution to deliver on customer requirements while achieving company related business and financial goals. Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute operational changes to achieve customer and business goals while improving profitability within FTI's Air Force Market.

  • Participate in the development of a strategy to achieve short and long-term operational and business development objectives.

  • Manage the implementation of business objectives, guidelines, and strategies of the organization, and ensure that action plans or policies are in place to meet those objectives.

  • Monitor operational performance against budget.

  • Manage the development of business requirements including performance metrics related to the customer's mission.

  • Ensure that resources are aligned with the organizational structure that meet business needs.

  • Manage and oversee the implementation of administrative policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Ensure that program teams have appropriate leadership and operating structures in place to ensure the success of the business.

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA in program related discipline preferred.

  • 8-10 Years of progressive experience leading large, complex programs in the federal government environment with revenue of $20M-$50M or more.

  • 5-8 years of experience leading complex DoD Air Force related programs; providing integrated technology solutions to acquisition and operational programs.

  • Secret clearance required; TS/SCI clearance preferred.

  • Directs the execution of a broad functional area, providing leadership for next level management to deliver customer mission requirements.

  • Proven ability to manage and control the planning, staffing, budgeting, and prioritization of investments to deliver company and customer results.

  • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the customer mission and company technology.

  • Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.

Overview

FTI is looking to bring on a talented Systems/Test Engineer to its team. This position will support the B-2 Display Modernization efforts as an expert systems engineering/airworthiness authority and consultant on the systems to ensure design and performance-based specification are met while minimizing life cycle costs.

Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for providing System Engineering and Test expertise in support of test and evaluation activities for the Department of the Air Force.

  • The candidate will provide developmental and operational test subject matter expertise while functioning as an expert in support of aircraft Airworthiness Certification

  • Provide oversight of test planning to support Airworthiness Certification by complying with associated process and procedures

  • Work with program leadership and the assigned technical team to ensure airworthiness requirements are met

  • Extensive developmental and operational test experience to oversee a consolidated and comprehensive test plan

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience with DoD/USAF instructions and policies with respect to Defense Acquisition, Test and Evaluation, and Airworthiness Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field from an ABET accredited College or University.
