Essential Functions:
We are looking for a driven mechanical engineer to perform research, development, design, and analysis tasks on complex mechanical hardware including precision mechanisms and electro-mechanical hardware, in a program team environment. Program support and technical leadership over requirements definition, concept generation, material selection, trade studies, design sensitivity/optimization studies, preliminary and final design, design documentation, and assembly/integration and testing. Candidate must have experience in 3D modeling, critical HW design and development and the ability to work independently or within a multi-disciplined team environment. We are seeking a Machinist, to join the team at our Culpeper, VA site.
Reporting directly to Manager, Manufacturing Operations, this position sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, precision grinders, etc. to make parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions. These positions interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required and method of setup and arrangement; work with a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; make shop computations; and fit and put together precision parts and determine material, parts and equipment required. This position would be for 2nd shift. 2:30 pm to 12:00 am 9/80 schedule.

We are seeking an Associate Propulsion Materials and Process Engineer to join our growing team near Culpeper in beautiful, rural Orange County, Virginia (about 1.5 hours from Washington, DC). This individual performs assignments under general supervision requiring an application of chemical and mechanical principles, theories and concepts in the propulsion field with a working knowledge of other related disciplines (thermal, structural, ballistics). Responsible for performing (technical), organizing (cost and schedule), and implementing tasks directed by a Technical Manager (Department Manager, Technical Fellow, or equivalent) and providing chemical guidance. Specifies chemical testing, evaluates data, and prepares and presents reports of results are typical of the job function.
