DESCRIPTION
The Distribution Trouble Supervisor will report directly to the Distribution Manager Or Construction Field Manager

Core responsibilities of the position include:
Lead the team in a Safety Excellence environment with a focus on learning and ensuring critical risk plans as well as our STEP observation tools are implemented
Strengthen a culture within the team that is inclusive, builds trust and is continuously improving. This includes ownership of our Diversity and Inclusion efforts as well leadership in continuing to advance our Southern Company -Moving to Equity- plans.
Optimize Troublemen coverage and moving team around Macon Distribution Area when needed, managing capital splits & budgets, covered employee training and development
Ensure consistent approach to repair versus replace decisions, contactor utilization and fatigue management
Enhance customer experience with boundaryless resource allocation, strategic scheduling
Provide employees with regular, constructive performance feedback and support them in their personal development.
Partner with Engineer and Distribution Supervisors to help develop teams in the Macon Distribution Area.
Additional duties include: Partnering with Region External, Region Distribution and Trouble Supervisors, Distribution/ Network, TMC Supervisors, and Engineering Supervisors to ensure customer satisfaction, quality of construction and responsiveness to all customer events are met. The position will be tasked with developing innovative methods to improve processes, drive efficiencies/productivity and implement strategy.
Education:
High School Diploma/Equivalent; college degree is a plus
Experience Requirements:
Seven years of distribution construction and/or distribution experience and knowledge of the construction, maintenance, and restoration of both overhead and underground services.
Extensive Storm Restoration Experience required.
Knowledge of and experience implementing Section "0", Smith Driving System, NESC, Distribution Bulletins, DOPs, Tagging and Switching Procedures, Distribution Construction Standards, DOT requirements, environmental guidelines, and applicable OSHA regulations.
Working knowledge of Memorandum of Agreement, Customer Service Standards, Corporate Compliance Policies and the Code of Ethics.
Performance management experience and/or insightful understanding of the process of setting clear expectations and holding others accountable.
Demonstrated experience or ability to quickly learn applications that include but are not limited to: ARMS, ARCOS TCMS Web, Dist View, JETS, MOBI, Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

The position will be tasked with developing innovative methods to improve processes, drive efficiencies/productivity and implement strategy.
Education:
High School Diploma/Equivalent; college degree is a plus
Experience Requirements:
Seven years of distribution construction and/or distribution experience and knowledge of the construction, maintenance, and restoration of both overhead and underground services.
Extensive Storm Restoration Experience required.
Knowledge of and experience implementing Section "0", Smith Driving System, NESC, Distribution Bulletins, DOPs, Tagging and Switching Procedures, Distribution Construction Standards, DOT requirements, environmental guidelines, and applicable OSHA regulations.
Working knowledge of Memorandum of Agreement, Customer Service Standards, Corporate Compliance Policies and the Code of Ethics.
Performance management experience and/or insightful understanding of the process of setting clear expectations and holding others accountable.
Demonstrated experience or ability to quickly learn applications that include but are not limited to: ARMS, ARCOS TCMS Web, Dist View, JETS, MOBI, Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Basic Function
This position will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks associated with the safe operation of various components and equipment associated with our high-pressure natural gas Storage and Transmission assets. This role will work in a team environment as well as have individual assignments. This role will be required to certify after a designated training period and will become enrolled into the union after 30 days.
SOME BASIC TASKS SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Operate facilities in a safe and efficient manner to meet production/throughput requirements, including starting and stopping of reciprocating and centrifugal engines and compressors.
Repair liquid centrifugal pumps and positive displacement pumps.
Properly, legibly and accurately record all equipment and operational data as required.
Inspect, repair, adjust and reset pressure regulators, relief valves, level controllers and shutdown devices on rotating equipment as needed.
Routinely inspect, operate and grease pumps, valves, motors and bearings as needed.
Repair or replacement of electric motors, shafts, and bearings in overhead cooler fans and in pumps.
Assist in the repair of equipment such as regulators, valves, pumps, gauges, filters, cooler fans, air compressors, air dryers, gas compressors, etc. as determined by physical inspections or scheduled preventative maintenance.
Comply with Company, State, and Federal safety and environmental regulations.
Perform welding and cutting work or any other work necessary in the maintenance of equipment and facilities.
Perform pipe fitting, plumbing, ditching work necessary in the installation or repairs of pipelines.
Replace filter elements as required.
Operate and maintain valves and valve operators of various types and sizes throughout plant.
Accept changes in work schedule, available for shift work, subject to call-outs as required for operations, including short notice/no notice overtime and extended shift coverage.
Performs various duties to maintain the Company's buildings, facilities, equipment, and right-of-ways, for neat and orderly appearances. (Examples include mowing, weed-trimming, cleaning compressors & building, cleaning & routine service of vehicles and lawn equipment, janitorial maintenance of office).
Safely and effectively work to accomplish assigned tasks in a timely manner, including the operation of forklifts, aerial platforms, etc...
Perform asset inspections, including painting and applying protective coatings.
Obtain and document surface wellhead pressures and flows as assigned.
Change surface equipment pressure and flow recording charts as assigned.

Pay: This is a position covered by the collective bargaining agreement between GPC and IBEW Local 84. Union membership is optional. Current starting pay for ALL NEW HIRES is 5740.00 /month or approximately $31.64 /hour. Apprentice lineman who receive job offers will be hired at this rate, regardless of experience/skills. Training and development
Once a truck operator has completed all the proper requirements they will have the opportunity to bid into an apprentice lineman position. Once in this position he/she will undergo an extensive training program that will include a mixture of classroom and on the job training that will include climbing and working at heights up to but not limited to 200ft. This training program will last approximately 4 years. Upon success of the program you will be able to bid on an Lineman position when available.
Additional Information
This position is covered under the Memorandum of Agreement between Georgia Power Company and the IBEW Local No. 84 which includes an increase every six month until you max out in your job classification and a cost of living increase annually. This position is subject to call-out overtime work, scheduled overtime work, and storm restoration response.
Pay: This is a position covered by the collective bargaining agreement between GPC and IBEW Local 84. Union membership is optional. Current starting pay for ALL NEW HIRES is $4,653.00 /month or approximately $25.64/hour. Truck Operators who receive job offers will be hired at this rate, regardless of experience/skills. This rate is non-negotiable.

The Compliance Specialist maintains an in-depth knowledge of current environmental laws and regulations as they apply to the plant and uses that knowledge to ensure compliance with permits and regulations. The Compliance Specialist interfaces with corporate and regulatory agencies and ensures notification to the appropriate agency in cases of non-compliance. Entry level position into Nicor Gas Underground Natural Gas Storage and Peaking Operations Department.
This position will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks associated with the safe operation of various components and equipment associated with our high pressure Natural

WORK LOCATION
This position will be located in either Birmingham, AL or Forest Park, GA (Metro Atlanta), however candidates living outside of the area may be considered with the expectation that they could successfully telework and would be willing to travel to work and field location on a routine (to be determined) and as-needed basis.

POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be managing surveillance programs for hydro, transmission, generation, retrofit, and gas projects. The initial assignment will be supporting Southern Company's Hydro Modernization projects. The Supplier Quality team maintains expertise in manufacturing, welding, coating inspection, and the practical use of quality systems. This expertise allows us to successfully perform quality surveillance of civil, mechanical, and electrical material and equipment. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of manufacturing and fabrication quality systems, an attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage project quality surveillance programs for specific hydro modernization projects.
Hire and manage 3rd party inspectors to conduct inspections at supplier facilities.
Create and manage Project Quality Surveillance Plans (PQSP) for equipment (electrical, civil, mechanical).
Schedule and lead monthly update meetings and other project team meetings.
Communicate with project team members, internal customers, and external suppliers.
Develop surveillance estimates.
Ensure budget goals are managed and met.
Conduct quality and technical capability assessments of supplier manufacturing facilities.
Perform electrical, civil/structural, and mechanical surveillance at supplier facilities.
Perform inspections and determine acceptability of various equipment and material such as generators, turbines, wicket and spillway gates, overhead cranes, switchgear, structural steel, motors, etc.
Review specifications for enforceability.
Review supplier's Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, building construction, or other relevant technical discipline is preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate a plus.
Experience:
Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate multiple competing deadlines, activities, meetings, shop visits, and projects.
A working knowledge of shop operations including quality systems, procurement, equipment/material manufacturing, handling, and shipping required.

WORK LOCATION
This position will be located in either Birmingham, AL or Forest Park, GA (Metro Atlanta), however candidates living outside of the area may be considered with the expectation that they could successfully telework and would be willing to travel to work and field location on a routine (to be determined) and as-needed basis.
This position will require a mix of both field and office work.
Field work can include site visits to suppliers' shops and various work locations.
Some office work can be performed remotely (telework/work from home).
POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be managing surveillance programs for hydro, transmission, generation, retrofit, and gas projects. The initial assignment will be supporting Southern Company's Hydro Modernization projects. The Supplier Quality team maintains expertise in manufacturing, welding, coating inspection, and the practical use of quality systems. This expertise allows us to successfully perform quality surveillance of civil, mechanical, and electrical material and equipment. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of manufacturing and fabrication quality systems, an attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage project quality surveillance programs for specific hydro modernization projects.
Hire and manage 3rd party inspectors to conduct inspections at supplier facilities.
Create and manage Project Quality Surveillance Plans (PQSP) for equipment (electrical, civil, mechanical).
Schedule and lead monthly update meetings and other project team meetings.
Communicate with project team members, internal customers, and external suppliers.
Develop surveillance estimates.
Ensure budget goals are managed and met.
Conduct quality and technical capability assessments of supplier manufacturing facilities.
Perform electrical, civil/structural, and mechanical surveillance at supplier facilities.
Perform inspections and determine acceptability of various equipment and material such as generators, turbines, wicket and spillway gates, overhead cranes, switchgear, structural steel, motors, etc.
Review specifications for enforceability.
Review supplier's Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, building construction, or other relevant technical discipline is preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate a plus.
Experience:
Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate multiple competing deadlines, activities, meetings, shop visits, and projects.
A working knowledge of shop operations including quality systems, procurement, equipment/material manufacturing, handling, and shipping required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Demonstrated ability to develop and grow relationships with customers required.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards to ensure supplier compliance with requirements.
A working knowledge of applicable IEEE, IEC, ASME, ISO, AWS, NACE, ANSI, NESC, AISC, ASTM, ACI, and other codes and standards to ensure suppliers comply with specified technical and quality requirements.
Exhibit a strong understanding of quality culture, quality assurance, and quality control preferred.
Ability to obtain a passport is required.

Travel:
A moderate amount of travel will be required (approximately 50%), including both domestic and international, but the position generally does not involve weekend travel.
Travel frequency and location will be dictated by the specific project(s) supported.
Relocation/Telecommuting:
Some relocation assistance may be available for this position if the selected candidate currently resides outside the Birmingham or Atlanta area.

Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for the execution of strategies surrounding Human Performance (HP) for Power Delivery (PD) at Georgia Power Company (GPC). They will be responsible for leading and coordinating all activities associated with the integration of Human Performance concepts for the objective of improving safety and reliability throughout all aspects of GPC PD Operations. Responsibilities include influencing leaders at all levels of the organization in support of continuing the development of a strong Human Performance culture. This will include analyzing human error events to determine contributing causal factors and working with stakeholders to develop corrective action plans to mitigate reoccurrence. They will lead efforts to increase the formal sharing of events and proactive risk mitigation efforts across GPC, enhancing our ability to sustain our learning environment. This position is responsible for training HP Coaches and providing leadership support to safety initiatives. Job Requirements:
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety, business management, or a related field
