Serco Inc is looking for a Project Control Analyst - Entry Level to join our team. You will participate in the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of performance on projects of varying contract type, size, complexity and level of risk for large IDIQ Contract vehicle . The Project Control Analyst is a key member of the program team and works directly with the Program Manager to help define the project's goals and objectives; and recommends actions to improve progress and performance.

In this role you will have significant interface with Program/Project Managers, senior technical staff, as well as other functional organizations including contracts, finance, accounts receivable, subcontract management and procurement.
Key Duties In This Role
Assist with EAC preparation and monitoring.
Assist with delivery order pricing.
Contract P&L forecasting.
Contract specific deliverables.
Project setup.
Assist with month end close activities.
Qualifications
To Be Successful in this role you will have:
HS GED required with 4 years experience.
Bachelor's degree preferred with 0-2 years' experience with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Excel and overall MS Office suite and a working knowledge of relevant software applications .
Excellent organizational skills, able to handle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines.
Must be analytical, possess excellent communication and presentation skills and have the ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
Strong customer service focus.

Position Description
Serco IP Services ,part of Serco North America, is seeking a Data Entry Operator to process patent documents for the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Documents are required to adhere to a detailed technical style guide to prepare them for publication.
The Data Entry Operator will be responsible to type, proofread, and edit electronic documents to support daily production to meet Customer specifications within established quality standards and deadlines. Successful candidates can make significant contributions to the patent industry while working in the growing economy and beautiful surroundings of the Shenandoah Valley in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include :
Correct OCR errors
Transcribe data from source documents
Verify entered data with source documents
Apply composition codes and style rules
Check for compliance with style guide rules
Consistently meet quality requirements
Consistently meet production deadlines
Problem solve and escalate issues that may impact delivery of a quality, on-time product
Participate in team meetings and projects
This position may work with supervisors, peers, quality staff and others within the company to ensure deliverables meet expectations.
This position may assist in training new employees, maintaining work instructions, and recommending changes for improvement
This position typically reports to an Edit Team Supervisor

The work performed by Serco Patent Classifiers supports a contract with the USPTO as well as related commercial patent search and analysis services.
In this Patent Classifier role, you will:
Be expected to determine appropriate classifications in accordance with both U.S. and international patent classification systems through technical knowledge, research, and automated tools.
Have technical expertise in one or more of the following technologies: Engines, Aeronautical, marine and land vehicles, buildings, bridges, roadways, vehicle drive trains, weapons, earth working.
Have exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
Have strong reading comprehension skills and written communication skills.
Have the ability to use Microsoft Office Word and Excel, and work on a computer workstation 8 hours per day.
Learn patent classification, search, and examination processes.
Apply knowledge of classification processes to assign U.S. Patent Classification (USPC) and Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC) codes to complex technical subject matter.
Apply knowledge of classification, search, and examination processes to provide analysis and prepare written reports for patent attorneys and others in the IP industry.
Use automated systems to perform research and classification operations.
Function in a production-based environment with emphasis on operating efficiently and accurately at a significant pace.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Work closely with others in a team environment.
Participate in on-going program training to expand knowledge in additional technical fields and patent services.
This position may be remote. Occasional travel to Harrisonburg, VA may be required on occasion.

In this role you will:
Participate in SE meetings including Configuration Control Boards, Technical Review Boards, Software Control Boards, Radar Design Integration Working Group, Mission Readiness Assessment, and Combat System-Integration design reviews.
Alert and advise program leadership and stakeholders on technical issues, and track issues to resolution.
Support derivation to software requirements; review and accept designs.
Evaluate system requirements for feasibility with respect to the system's software architecture, software deployment phasing, and allocated budgets.
Support recommendations for technical options and provide specific technical guidance on design and implementation to meet project constraints.
Oversee development & updates to current and new software baselines. Ensure that allocated requirements are complete, implemented and tested as part of release schedule. Review and accept production and sustainment build promotions and associated testing as part of ship installation and fleet deployment.

Manage, track, and regularly report on the status of associated Navy software platforms and licenses.

Be well-versed in the defense acquisition process and areas relating to acquisition policy and best practices including acquisition streamlining and be able to apply that knowledge and experience in executing actual programs.
Be knowledgeable in new acquisition practices such as rapid acquisition, DEV/SEC/OPS, use of collaboration tools, and data analytics in support of the program office.
Manage schedules and plans of action related to system acquisition. Support may include program and milestone reviews, budget management, coordination with higher-level acquisition and sponsor organizations under program office leadership, and coordination with Fleet support organizations on behalf of the program office.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Agile software development experience.
Engineering experience involving shipborne and US Navy (USN) systems.
Eight to ten years' experience, preferably with a combined minimum of 15 years work experience in engineering and software development.
Knowledge of defense acquisition principles and practices.
A Bachelor's degree, however, a Master's of Science degree or higher preferred, in an Engineering discipline.
Advanced internal team communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
A current or active DoD Secret security clearance or must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance via sponsorship.

The ideal candidate will assist in the development of the Autonomous Maritime System (AMS) program budgets, schedules and work priorities. Plans, implements, and tracks the progress of unmanned air, surface, and undersea vehicle (UxV) projects. Perform with limited supervision/direction and regularly exercise discretionary and decision-making authority. This position supports a broad portfolio of AMS programs in the Ventura, CA/Port Hueneme geographic region.
The PM will be responsible for managing unmanned air, surface, and undersea vehicles (UxV) projects and related task orders for customers with revenue ranging from $3M - $100M. You will have budgetary responsibilities to include creating budgets, schedules, and technical performance requirements for UxV projects including conducting cost management through continual cost control and review. You will work requirements and operational fulfilment of new sensors, payloads, software, and hardware on UxV projects during various life-cycle stages including prototyping, and RDT&E.
In this role, you will be:
Planning, leading, and coordinating technical engineering and sustainment activities of project staff, engineers, testers, vessel operators, and support staff

The Lead Engineer will be responsible for engineering plans; technology maturation strategies; mission analyses; systems engineering and integration reviews; technical risk mitigation; joint requirements development; and inform acquisition milestones and modernization decisions.You will work with a team of technicians, and engineers supporting RDT&E projects conducting test to including electrical, mechanical and software engineering, for system development, man and machine interface development, test and evaluation, requirements capture, production, maintenance, and system support.
You will be part of a team responsible for highly consequential engagements with stakeholders impacting national security and the defense capabilities of the United States. You will work closely with customers and other Serco teams to deliver quality solutions recognized by DoD and industry as outstanding contributions in engineering program and risk management across the Defense enterprise.
In this role, you will:
Developing System Engineering plans for integration and R&D. Provide USV, autonomous systems, and Maritime Subject Matter
Expertise for R&Dand OT&E.
Analyze unmanned vehicle (USV) system designs, specifications, and technical data to determine whether various systems are ready for developmental/operational testing.
Analyze results from USV systems and capabilities under test/evaluation to ensure performance successfully meets engineering specifications and operational requirements.
Investigate system failures, evaluate corrective alternatives and implement actions to ensure USV systems maintain safe, effective operations and minimize/eliminate potential future system failures.
Develop technical/logistics documentation in support of USV operations, training and sustainment, including user manuals, training guides and system maintenance manuals.
Develop concept of operations (CONOPS) and standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation for USV operations, tactics, doctrine and vehicle deployment
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering disciplate with a minimum of 5 years of System Engineering experience.
An active Secret clearance is required prior to employment.
10+ years of relevant experience supporting DoD/USCG programs
Substantial experience providing technical leadership and technical management of engineering personnel
Experience with Ship and Ship Systems in-service engineering activities
Experience with Control Systems and Autonomy
Experience working with DoD/USCG technical communities.
Additional desired experience and skills:

You will have budgetary responsibilities to include creating budgets, schedules, and technical performance requirements for UxV projects including conducting cost management through continual cost control and review. You will work requirements and operational fulfilment of new sensors, payloads, software, and hardware on UxV projects during various life-cycle stages including prototyping, and RDT&E.
In this role, you will be:
Planning, leading, and coordinating technical engineering and sustainment activities of project staff, engineers, testers, vessel operators, and support staff

You will have the opportunity to shape system of systems development pipelines on a Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) program onsite Naval base Ventura County in Port hueneme Ca. The Sustainment Manager will be responsible for engineering plans; technology maturation strategies; mission analyses; systems engineering and integration reviews; technical risk mitigation; joint requirements development; and inform acquisition milestones and modernization decisions.
In this role, you will:
Provide technical oversight, assessment, and analysis of intensive naval engineering system research, development, test and evaluation (T&E)
Oversee the drafting of program Development Plans, and execution of program work in accordance with said plans
Provide engineering subject matter expertise and mentoring in the set-up of secure engineering development environments
Provide evaluation of and facilitate integration of shipboard components from industry partners, Government Labs, and Warfare Centers
Conduct statutory/regulatory independent technical assessments of programs (e.g., Program Support Assessment (PSA), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), and shipboard engineering focused reviews) to assess the status of engineering efforts as well as risks and issues
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business Management or relevant field with a minimum of 8 years managing engineering programs.
