In this role, you are the primary point of contact for the customer and provide active travel consultation towards the business customers.

A snapshot of this opportunity

  • Search and confirm travel reservations for the customer

  • Provide travel offers and general travel advice to travelers

  • Strong understanding of a client travel policy to guide and consistently provide consultation to the customer

  • Excellent knowledge and application of travel supplier rules

  • Provide the customer with the required industry information, such as low fares, exchange costs and penalties

  • Fulfill all requests regarding necessary regulations (DOT, TSA, passports, visas, etc.)

  • Supports BCD Travel and client driven initiatives

    How can you set yourself apart

  • Extensive experience in the corporate travel management industry

  • Experience in the entertainment industry

  • Solid working knowledge of the travel industry, policies, procedures and processes

  • Experience with Sabre

  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Ability to work independently, exercising discretion and judgment

  • Demonstrated excellent professional customer service and problem resolution skills

  • Strong problem solving and/or critical thinking skills

  • Responsible for account acquisition, retention & growth Thorough understanding of customer business issues and opportunities so that accounts can be developed to their full potential

  • Understanding of the basic principles of incentives and events and their impact on business success

  • Understanding of destinations, hotels and suppliers that can support customer programs

  • Guide, mentor & support internal teams to ensure that client service expectations are met and adhered to

  • Oversee program pricing and margins to ensure that they meet acceptable profit guidelines Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities

  • Responsible for managing the relationship with existing accounts and ensure that they maintain, renew and grow their business with BCD M&E

  • Responsible for driving the strategy for the development of proposals, presentations, contracts and other sale/marketing-related collateral materials for current and prospective accounts

  • Responsible for constructing solutions and pricing to optimize and comply with BCD M&E's profitability goals.

  • Conduct regular meetings with account personnel to discuss operations and opportunities.

  • Understand the market and business issues associated with accounts to best react to account needs.

  • Ensures client and prospective client databases are maintained and key prospects are contacted regularly

  • Delivers, on a monthly basis, new prospect, sold account, lost bid, and no bid reports to Sales Management via the SalesForce.com CRM tool. Execute account development plans -- providing timely updates to leadership

  • Participate in and plan sales and marketing efforts that generate potential customer/sales leads

  • Effectively qualify new business opportunities to ensure they are within business guidelines and that internal support team resources are efficiently deployed.

  • Meet or exceed individual annual adjusted gross revenue sales objectives

  • Adhere to BCD M&E's T&E policy and remain within outlined budget parameters.

  • Review and monitor monthly financial targets -- make recommendations for adjustments as necessary.

  • Requirements: 5 years of experience in job offered or 5 years of experience in Business Development or Account Management.

  • Search and confirm travel reservations for the customer

  • Provide travel offers and general travel advice to travelers

  • Strong understanding of a client travel policy to guide and consistently provide consultation to the customer

  • Excellent knowledge and application of travel supplier rules

  • Provide the customer with the required industry information, such as low fares, exchange costs and penalties

  • Fulfill all requests regarding necessary regulations (DOT, TSA, passports, visas, etc.)
