The E&APSD Fuel Cell Team has an exciting and impactful career opportunity for a Senior Program Planner.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for creating and managing project plans for New Technology Introduction and New Product Introduction Fuel Cell projects for our E&APS Division. You will work within the NTI / NPI framework to deliver high visibility Fuel Cell programs on-time and to specification by improving the effectiveness of project plans, helping to position Caterpillar to sit at the forefront of the energy transition.
A thorough understanding of project management tools and processes is required. Incumbent will have demonstrated the ability to facilitate programs, lead chartering sessions, develop critical paths, lead integration and compression sessions. Position reports into the NPI Program Manager.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating with program managers to schedule and support program control meetings & compression sessions and drive schedule changes/corrections
Leading update meetings for program level issues/action logs, risk registers/FMEAs, scope change requests/logs, program work plans, program cost tracking and provide workshop planning, execution and follow-up assistance
Creating accurate and detailed schedules including:
Capturing all information, interpreting, and identifying relationships between activities
Analyzing data from schedule updates
Working with project team members to resolve logic errors, explaining changes due to updates, and recommending actions to resolve schedule problems.
Working with engineering, validation, manufacturing & supply chain to develop their detailed activities and schedule
Working with team members to emphasize the importance of the program schedule to be successful in implementing on time, with in cost, and at the required quality targets.
Project Planning Responsibilities:
Creating project plans using Microsoft Project
Utilizing engineering judgement to help the team construct accurate and thorough project plans to achieve key milestones.
Maintaining project plan accuracy via email, 1 on 1 meetings as needed and post up to date plans in Microsoft Teams.
Creating dashboards for NTI and NPI programs that detail project plan date attainment status.
Attending NTI and NPI team meetings to report out on key milestone timeline risks
Coordinating action, with the NTI / NPI Team Leader, to prevent delay in achieving project milestones including resource tracking and management, task prioritization and delegation
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 3 years of experience
3+ years of project planning experience with Microsoft Project
Fuel Cell, electrification project experience
Top Candidates will have:
5+ years of engineering experience in Operations, Design, Performance or Supplier Development.
Validation experience
3 years of experience coordinating high performing, cross functional teams
Microsoft Project Certification

Caterpillar's Resource Industries Sales, Services and Technology (RISST) team is seeking a Human Resources Manager. This role serves as an HR business partner to senior commercial leaders with global organizations and will leverage HR team members and HR shared services support to provide strategic support across these client groups. This role is responsible to ensure adherence to human resources policies and procedures while initiating HR process and program improvements. In addition, this role is an important member of the RISST HR team and ensures alignment and coherence with strategic business and people strategies.
Job Duties:
Actively participate as a strategic partner on assigned teams, ensuring HR is an integral part of the business strategy

Logistics Tech II reports to IRA section manager and will be assigned to Inventory Record Accuracy department to meet customer and company demands. Perform reconciliation of parts according to the IRA processes and procedures
Able to work in Excel spreadsheet to input data and populate reports as needed
Able to Learn Caterpillar manufacturing systems (e.g., Plex and MAMM) for inventory count reconciliation
Complete root cause analysis of defects discovered in the cycle count, audit and reconcile processes
Lead and support Caterpillar Production System Continuous Improvement activities
Escalate issues and the necessary resources to root cause and develop counter measures
Work closely with Management and Team Leads and provide support to other departments as needed
Execute special duties and projects as directed by Section Manager and Team Lead

Job Summary:
This role is to setup, recruit and lead and develop E&APSD orders team servicing demand from US, Canada, South America. Initially it will involve developing core processes in conjunction with the transport and logistics teams, and then leading US ERP testing and implementation prior to go live.

This position is responsible for managing existing external relationships with government funding organizations in the US primarily and assisting in rest-of-world areas. Focus areas include growing government funding for research in advanced engine technologies including hydrogen, methanol and other alternative fuels, and advanced power sources such as fuel cells and battery technologies. The role will also support expanding government funding programs for longer term research and development in emerging technology areas in the machine space such as autonomy, automation, and electrification.
This position will collaborate closely with the relevant internal Caterpillar Business Units to understand their long-term product and technology needs in these areas and propose programs to accelerate development of these technologies using various types of federal and state government funding including US DOE, US DOD, US DOT, EPA, CARB, etc. The individual will be responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with senior strategy and funding leaders in the above-referenced government organizations through regular interfacing, visits for in person meetings as well as attending workshops to provide company perspectives and directions on future funding areas of interest. Coordination with the Caterpillar Government Affairs team will also be a key part of the role.
The position will work closely with the ICS Government Contracts Administration (GCA) team to discuss identify, review and appropriately disseminate new Funding Opportunity Announcements, coordinate internal bid proposal submissions, inform them GCA when new proposals are forthcoming, provide required supporting information and documentation for submissions and ensure those within Caterpillar who apply for government funding are following the documented process steps.

Job Duties
The ECM/ECU platform lead engineer is accountable for managing 1 or more ECM/ECU platforms. This includes leading NPI programs to deploy new ECM/ECUs into production as well as maintain these platforms after launch. Work with ECM product line manager on transitioning new technology projects to new production introduction (NPI) projects

This is a 3 to 5 year development role to grow & develop the technical analysis of manufacturing, supply chain, processes, and leadership skill to permit effective management decisions.
JOB DUTIES: This development role is all about developing the next generation of industry leaders and technical experts. The purpose is to harness your ability by further developing you through rotational assignments and learning opportunities so that you may not only fulfill your career ambition but provide excellent service to Caterpillar and its customers.
This will be an internal developmental rotation position consisting of 12-18 months as a:
Supply Chain Engineer

2nd Shift Section Manager (Shop Floor Supervisor)
The incumbent will rotate roughly every 12-18 months for each position. After successful completion of the program, the selected candidate will be placed in a position within the Minneapolis Operations team.
Specifically in this role you can expect to:
Learn Caterpillar Paving Products operations.
Monitor and improve safety on the shop floor; eliminate any unsafe operations and ensure a safe and clean product environment.
Provide daily PQVC (People/Safety, Quality, Velocity and Cost) support to the shop.
Determine processing needs to assure fixtures, tooling, parts, and methods are provided to meet schedules and production requirements.
Evaluate projects to define desired results and evaluate logical approaches using factors such as cost, personnel yearly usage, equipment, space, etc. as well as other information needed to determine requirements.
Contribute to the effective management decisions in determining the most efficient processes, methods, machinery, tools, equipment, services, and systems needed in the manufacture of product.
Use your knowledge of Lean principle to create standard work and other documentation with a focus on continuous improvement.
Provide direct leadership to a team of production employees.
Train & develop staff, perform time keeping, estimate personnel needs, assign work, meet completion dates, and ensure consistent application of organizational needs.

As a Manufacturing Test Engineer , you will have the opportunity to provide the technical expertise necessary to design, develop, and implement manufacturing systems, complex manufacturing operations and sophisticated machines as they relate to engine testing.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Provide technical support at the various test stands: Main Assembly Leak Test (MALT), Long Block Test (LBT), Engine Function Test (EFT) and Hot Test.
Understand test stand process requirements. Prioritize work of multiple test stands simultaneously, as needed, to meet assembly expectations with a sense of urgency balanced with a strong commitment to product quality.
Compile and perform data analysis to diagnose complex issues and problems to determine root cause.
Analyze engine characteristic and performance trend data to meet customer expectations.
Define acceptance criteria for process indicators.
Communicate technical information effectively with both internal and external process partners.
Lead continuous improvement activities impacting the assembly process and test performance.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing methodology to engage in creative problem solving to address operational issues by taking initiative and driving creative ideas forward.
Work collaboratively and lead both specialized and broad-based projects as they relate to the test stands with internal and external process partners.
Analyze customer requirements and make recommendations for equipment, procedure, or process changes.
Provide specifications and procure new or replacement testing and validation equipment. Implement robust solutions to meet customer requirements.
Design, develop, and implement assembly processes and manufacturing systems, including factory control software, scheduling techniques, simulation, and system application.
Manage capital projects with internal and external suppliers to ensure efficient and cost-effective systems and processes are implemented.
Develop training programs and process documentation for technicians (E.g., Operations)
Develop and document Manufacturing Engineering processes for training and development of Manufacturing Engineers and Engineering Techs
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science or similar Technical or Discipline
3-5 years manufacturing or test related work experience in a testing or manufacturing environment preferably in engine dynamometer tests, engine performance development, or engine component assembly
Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills with a high level of curiosity and investigative mindset with attention to detail
Top candidates will also have:
Diesel engine and/or Leak testing experience
Strong mechanical aptitude
Understanding of electrical systems and schematics
Knowledge of programming languages
Technical project work experience
Experience in 3D modeling (i.e., AutoCAD, Creo, Solidworks)

Experience with safety protocols and risk assessment
