Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Senior Parts & Service Marketing Consultant position. This truck engine parts marketing consultant will play a key role in extending the tail of the On-Highway Truck engine business. As the legacy truck engine population ages and the customer base evolves this position must leverage customer data, industry trends, dealer, and independent shop feedback to drive strategic solutions to keep engagement throughout the dealer network. This position will drive commercial strategy through ownership of variance programs, field and dealer network support, and customer focused marketing.
Job Duties:
As a Senior Parts and Service Marketing Consultant, you will serve as the expert responsible for the development and execution of specialized initiatives to drive profitable parts and service revenue. The role of this assignment is that of an individual contributor who has established a reputation as an expert in a specific parts and service marketing field. Assignments/projects are complex and strategic in nature. Must communicate effectively across product, industry, dealer and/or customer audiences to gain understanding and acceptance of ideas and recommendations. Proven leadership in innovation of new or improved ideas/processes is key to this role, along with the execution to the market. Work across various functional business units to achieve parts objectives and work with global partners along reps, dealers, and customers to implement parts marketing activities and drive parts growth.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Serve as team lead for business planning and forecasting process for on-highway truck engine parts
Manage on-highway parts variance budget, national programs, and provide field sales variance consultation to ASRs and Account Managers
Serve as primary interface with industry data sources Polk and MacKay
Manage the on-highway truck sales dashboard for use with ASRs and dealers
Own STU and data integrity across Cat and TEPS dealer network
Define competitive landscape across channels and deliver growth strategies to extend the tail of the on-highway truck engine business
Develop and deliver sales tools and training for solutions to reps and dealers
Mentor team members and ASRs
Drive customer focused marketing strategy in alignment with the Cat Reman Marketing team
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years of parts/product/product support experience
Previous experience working directly with dealers on an ongoing basis
Minimum bachelor's degree education

Description:
Provides technical guidance/support for life safety system including Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) security systems, building take cover/evacuation systems and building access controls in the Americas and other regions of the world. Caterpillar Work Director for various contracted services that perform this work in the Central Illinois area. Responsible for managing an annual budget for these services. Consults with other Caterpillar employees on project work for these life safety systems.
Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
This is a staff assignment involved in the improvement of various life safety systems. Assignments will vary based on experience and will work independently or as part of a team to resolve problems. This assignment will be geared to systems integration and the support services needed to maintain equipment and/or building operations.
Analyzes and recommends current and future systems, procedures, training and equipment needs based upon understanding and communication with users. Determines acceptability of new equipment based on Caterpillar standards and recommends modification or revision as necessary.
Troubleshoots throughout the facility to determine the cause of failure, the lack of efficiency and the need for repair or improvement of systems or equipment. Resolves problems in design and recommends solutions to prevent recurrence of problem. Troubleshooting duties may be specific in nature based on area of expertise, but could include other disciplines.
Coordinates development of a planned maintenance program and prepares documentation to support maintenance frequency and recurring problems. Investigates problems occurring in buildings that are maintenance related and recommends solutions to alleviate the problem.
Work assignments are assigned based on specific background and major projects are divided according to individual expertise, experience and educational background. Coordination between the various disciplines is essential for successful completion of assignment. Expertise may be in electrical, computer applications, mechanical, or construction areas.
Determines building requirements for life safety systems. Assists in the design of these systems to reflect changes in building requirements due to new equipment and/or rearrangement.
Manages outside contractors performing maintenance, repairs or changes to the facility
Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, hazardous materials and ergonomics in performing assigned duties
Work Director for a contract service provider with four on-site technicians in the Greater Peoria area responsible for security integration management. This includes the following life safety systems: fire alarm & take cover building notification, CCTV security and building badge access control.
Consults with various Caterpillar business units (including international business units) on enterprise standards and procedures
Works with project leaders to develop project plans and budget to maintain or upgrade these life safety systems
Manages the Caterpillar owned infrastructure for the two-way radio system in the Greater Peoria area
Responsible for the contract service work provided for fire extinguisher maintenance in the Greater Peoria area
Manages an annual budget (~$750K) associated with these various life safety systems for their own business unit
Basic Requirements:
The education and experience requirements for this position are to meet at least one of the following criteria :
No defined degree with 4 years' relevant experience
Bachelors' or 2-year Engineering Technology degree with 2 years' relevant experience

Job Description
The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for facility performance levels to corporate targets for inventory reduction, increased inventory turns and improved order-to-delivery results. They will lead the facility efforts to develop and implement the Plan for Every Part, Pull material Replenishment and improved throughput efficiency. In addition, they will lead the facility efforts to implement and monitor compliance for supply chain processes aligned with the CPS Supply Chain Process Manual and the CPS Supply Chain Rules. This position has direct reports which include Supply Chain Planning Engineers, Supply Chain Planning Analysts, and Packaging Engineers.
Job Duties
Leads and manages a team responsible for facility deployment of the Supply Chain Planning Process, which develops the Plan for Every Part and Pull Replenishment methods for a facility, coordinating and managing the structure and work plans for multiple, cross functional work teams.
Leads efforts which require the ability to work effectively with facility leaders and governing committees comprised of diverse, multi-functional leaders. Incumbent is responsible for leading collaboration and communications across multiple facility functions, in order to effectively deploy lean material flow plans for a facility, which may include implementing changes to factor floor layout and material presentation to the point of use
Deploys strategic supply chain initiatives and is required to take a facility-wide view of supply chain planning processes and tools. This role requires thorough knowledge and experience with the deployment of pull material strategies and related software applications
Leads facility activities focused on delivering a Plan for Every Part for all active parts. Incumbent is responsible for the quality and effectiveness of the Supply Chain Planning Process for the facility, including standard work, development of the PFEP, data maintenance and usage of PFEP data to drive results.
Sponsors multi-functional facility teams deploying the standard process for determining Packaging and Containerization solutions for as part of supply chain planning. This position governs and supports supply chain teams working with multi-functional leaders and teams, both in and outside of the facility, that may include external suppliers or third party-providers, to design and implement material packaging and containerization processes for a facility.
Accountable for performance against corporate supply chain performance targets, including improvements in Order-to-Delivery time, inventory levels / turns, CQMS Certification requirements, supply chain assessments and overall supply chain performance for a facility.
Lead supply chain team efforts to achieve CQMS or other similar Certifications, and lead and supports supply chain improvements required for certification
Works with other supply chain functional areas to continuously improve material flow plans, focusing on improving inventory record accuracy, waste reduction and increased throughput efficiency, increased velocity and increased inventory turns. Incumbent may be required to work with Global Transportation and Cat Logistics Services to implement transportation and logistics solutions required to optimize the facility supply chain
Provides leadership, coaching, focus, motivation, and encouragement to direct reports. Responsible for coaching, developing and mentoring resources. Incumbent is responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of direct reports, including development, capability building and succession planning.
Basic Qualifications
College or university degree related to Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
Minimum of five to eight years of progressively responsible supply chain job experience
Experience in the development and deployment of Supply Chain processes
Experience with the CPS RIW and Value Stream Transformation process
Experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management and/or Logistics

In this role you may be expected to:
Compile daily inventory reports as well as system audits to reconcile the actual number of parts in the factory with system records.
Ensure that inventory is sufficient to meet build requirements and to communicate potential shortages to material planners.
Coordinate and monitor off-line rework activities.
