Job Description:
This New Product Introduction (NPI) team leader role is on the Medium Vee platform team within Large Power Systems Division (LPSD), with responsibilities for NPI and other product improvement initiatives on the engines used in Track-Type Tractor and Drill applications. The role has integrated responsibilities between a system level engineer (L5) and NPI lead to allow the candidate to be the main liaison to the product group. The lead will be responsible to plan and coordinate resources across the organization to meet NPI deliverables, investigate and deliver product improvements for current offerings and maintain a strong trusted relationship with their perspective industry customers.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Manages large NPI projects to ensure they are on time, within budget, and aligned with the product objectives, quality, and strategy.
Assists in prioritizing NPI projects based on enterprise impact and objectives.
Assembles the business case for project requests - program OPACC.
Identifies training needs for NPI team members and initiates NPI-related development opportunities.
Identifies cost containment opportunities, cost reduction ideas and projects.
Solves problems by determining the best course of action, within departmental guidelines, from many existing solutions.
Acts independently to determine the best way to complete job assignments in order to achieve the desired results.
Creates alignment and visibility to issues through frequent stakeholder updates and alignment sessions.
Monitors product quality metrics and identified areas of focus for continuous improvement.
Monitors and reports on key quality measures; sales volume, capital expenditures, and research and development
Create partnerships with internal customers, which may bridge across two or more work groups in a division.
Builds strong relationships with other departments, industry associations and outside organizations.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of 6-9 years in engine or engine component development (design, manufacturing, validation, product support)
Strong organizational, planning and communication skills are critical as incumbent initiates communication with others outside immediate work group to work on new ideas or to counsel others, etc.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential (desire previous 6 Sigma, CPI, and/or NPI project experience).

Job Summary: Support various accounts receivable management functions and bring timely resolution to customer accounts including but not limited to: regular customer past due accounts, repossession, legal accounts, and recovery activity for Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation (CFSC).
Job Responsibilities:
Collects delinquent active contracts through telephone contact and field visits.
Authorizes and conducts equipment repossessions, which includes authorizing legal correspondence and arranging for transportation and safe storage of the units.
Reports past due results and recommends additions, deletions and modifications to the Potential Credit Loss Report.
Develops and nurtures a strong working relationship with dealers, Territory Managers and customers in an assigned portfolio.
Coordinates timely resolution of customer service issues on past due accounts.
Prepares their individual regular or legal collection past due reports and statistics for submission to management weekly or as requested by management.
May provide timely reporting of repossessed assets or accounts being referred for legal action to other business units as required, including Asset Management and Legal.
May provide status and historical reporting to Customer Accounts staff and management on collection activities and accounts placed for repossession within the department.
Reviews accounts that have been identified as non-collectable to establish deficiency amounts and determine the most appropriate and cost-effective means by which to pursue outstanding accounts balances.
Analyzes the ability to collect on recovery accounts, collects deficiency balances and coordinates recovery efforts through collection agencies.
Collects sale proceeds on private sales.
Contacts customers to identify willingness to pay and negotiate a lump sum balance payment, arrange a payment schedule or negotiate a contract settlement.
Evaluates the customer's credit worthiness if a payment schedule appears to be the best alternative for resolving an outstanding balance. To accomplish this, Dun & Bradstreet and credit bureau reports are reviewed and evaluated. If warranted, an individual asset search is completed.
Provides the customer credit rating on charged off accounts to credit bureaus and other potential debtors.
Serves as an active liaison between CFSC and the collection agencies to answer inquiries and resolve account issues promptly.
When warranted, works with approved collection agencies to recover outstanding balances when direct customer contact has been unsuccessful. Subsequently approves payment schedules or negotiated contract settlement suggested by the collection agent.
Makes recommendations to the Asset Management staff regarding how repossessed equipment should be liquidated.
Monitors and calculates potential loss on accounts with input from Asset Management/CRSI.
Establishes account deficiency through Strict Foreclosure or following the sale of equipment and subsequent collection of sale proceeds from the selling agent.
Prepares standardized transmittal forms for transfer of accounts to legal status.
Prepares documents necessary to write off the account balance following equipment liquidation and sends a notice of deficiency to the customer.
Prepares and files Proof of Claim on bankruptcy cases.
Based upon an analysis of accounts and customer assets, makes recommendation regarding the legal strategy for pursuing outstanding account balances.
Coordinates with the Legal Department to provide information needed to issue judgments and garnishments and pursue litigation.
Performs equipment audits on special accounts and authorizes and evaluates equipment inspections as needed.
Monitors payments received from legal accounts and takes appropriate collection action when a delinquency has been identified.
Monitors suspense payment balances originating from legal accounts.
Performs buyout calculations on legal accounts.
Prepares periodic status reports, summaries, statistics, results and historical reporting to Customer Accounts staff and management on repossession, recovery or legal activities on accounts.
Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.
Understands the Harassment policy of the company and is responsible for its application in all aspects of employment.

Job Summary:
This position collaborates with suppliers to ensure execution to planned orders and schedules, and resolves issues with suppliers to ensure material availability for facility production. The incumbent works with the facility production schedulers and operations personnel to support facility production for all Advanced Power Products and point of use material availability. Ensures alignment of facility inventory accuracy and inventory systems planning parameters with the plan for every part to maintain planning integrity.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Incumbent ensures the timely delivery of materials to the facility, collaborating with suppliers to coordinate deliveries, shipping schedules and work schedules to meet facility production plans. Using supplier collaboration technologies, collaborates with suppliers and operations to plan delivery of material for production.
Actively collaborates with suppliers to perform root cause corrective actions to resolve quality and supplier performance issues. This work may require planning for alternate manufacturing methods.
This position analyzes established parts schedules and production requirements, converting requirements into appropriate piece parts, requisitioning the materials, regulating inventory levels and issuing work orders.
Incumbent manages and performs supplier scheduling and implementation of engineering changes for the efficient manufacture of products and components. This position supports supply chain performance efforts by monitoring and tracking supplier performance metrics.
Incumbent performs work to improve point of use material availability, applying root cause analysis and corrective actions. Provides Material Planning expertise to facility functions in support of improving demand variability, forecast credibility and usability for production planning.
Basic Qualifications:

JOB DUTIES:
This role will be a high visibility, high impact role in the Industrial Power Systems Division covering the 7 to 18L Caterpillar engine range. The incumbent will be responsible for leading work across multiple cross-departmental teams to ensure accurate and timely cost roll-ups and reporting for many different target applications for new engine development programs. This position is responsible for providing direction and leadership to enhance the 3PL capabilities through continuous improvement to meet Solar Turbines' delivery schedules, revenue goals, quality standards and cost initiatives in order to achieve the business plan.
The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, and requires a strong sense of urgency, independent judgment and problem-solving as well as strong excellent communication, planning, prioritization, and follow-up skills.

Key Accountabilities
Logistics
Act as key liaison with worldwide sales organizations, customers, 3PL, suppliers, freight forwarders and carriers, communicating transportation information to ensure on-time delivery, efficiency, and accuracy of shipments.
Provide expeditious guidance for timely resolution of packing/shipping issues.
Monitor transportation services to ensure cost effective and high-quality packing and shipping methods for damage-free shipments.
Coordinate inspections with third party inspectors.
Process Improvement
Work closely with 3PL to identify and develop opportunities for continuous improvement and increased customer satisfaction.
Work with 3PL to reduce and eliminate non-value-added steps using waste elimination and lean techniques
Identify and implement system and process improvements within Shipping & Logistics network.
Identify, track, analyze, and monitor and for all logistics operations for problem resolution while communicating
Quality/Inventory
Support investigation of customer feedback to find root cause and advise appropriate solution to resolve issues.
Assist with cycle counts and order adjustments to ensure inventory alignment. Complete root cause analysis and corrective action for inventory discrepancies.
Reporting
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to evaluate progress, quality, and velocity.
Compile data for standard and ad hoc reporting.
Collect and analyze transportation data using different Microsoft programs to assist operations in problem identification and resolution.
Relation with carriers
Maintain relationships with logistics providers: LTL, parcel, freight forwarders, brokers, and packagers.
Assist in developing transportation strategies and business relationships with transportation suppliers to drive increased volumes and velocity with optimum service levels.
Work closely with Transportation Supply Chain to identify and develop opportunities for continuous improvement.
Relation with customers
Understand customer requirements in order to drive operational excellence to ensure internal and external customer expectations are met or exceeded.
External Customers: large and diverse customer base that includes domestic, international and alliance customers.
Internal Customers: Global Trade Compliance, worldwide sales team, field leadership, supply chain, and other parts distribution centers.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
. Provide technical support through data analysis, problem solving, and CPS
. Assist and provide support to process improvement teams
. Assist and provide feedback to team leaders including action plan follow up, use of 6 Sigma and lean manufacturing methodology and use of CPS
. Identify and track key metrics related to assigned department or function
. Assist with process improvement opportunities, continuous review of plant operations to keep team focused on key priorities and improvement objectives
. Monitor and follow up process improvement initiatives to ensure improvements are sustained
. Perform audits to ensure materials, processes, and tools conform to quality standards
. Assist with the resolution of CPS Continuous Improvement cards
. Follow standard operating procedures and area specific work instructions
. Provide information to supervisors and managers about processes within assigned area
. Assist and facilitate small business team activities within assigned work area
. Investigate and resolve Manufacturing Engineering related line calls
. Assist, investigate, and resolve CI cards issued to Manufacturing Engineering.
. Assist, investigate, and resolve Manufacturing Engineering BIQ defects and other quality improvement initiatives, such as CCN, CIA and CAR
. Participate and support Engineering for Standard Work, SFMEA and PFMEA activities.
. Represent Manufacturing Engineering at Small Business Team and Go & See meetings
. Edit mainline and sub- assembly jobs to enable proper assembly of engines
Basic Qualifications:
. Experience reading blueprints and reviewing 3D models
. Experience in assembly processes, and best practices, test processes and validation to manufacture diesel fuel engines
. Experience with basic inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, depth gages)
. Familiarity using data collection systems such as Quality WorX and Tools Talk
. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook experience
. 2-year degree or 3 years of quality or diesel assembly experience
. Self-Starter
Top Candidates will also have:
. Intermediate level proficiency using ERP/PLM systems such as PLEX and Teamcenter
. Experience with the MAMM system
. Six Sigma/Lean experience as either a team member or a Green Belt
. Quality Experience in a diesel assembly/machine facility
. Diesel assembly experience in a leadership type role (team lead, project lead, Lean lead)
. Experience in leading projects or supervision (direct or indirect)
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

Monday - Friday 3:30pm-12:00am
As a Warehouse Associate at Caterpillar, you will perform a variety of functions to check, receive, and verify accuracy of part locations and quantities. In addition to counting parts and filling orders, you will conduct first line, basic quality assessment of parts for damage and defects.
Please Note: This position will train on first shift for 30 days. Those hours are 7:00am-3:00pm.

Basic Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
At least three months of work experience
Job Duties/Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited to:
Safely perform the material handling and warehousing functions required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
Operates handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing.
Performs housekeeping functions as required
Utilizing heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes
Report defects and need for repairs.
Be willing to use pneumatic tools and/or power tools to crate products and prep them for shipment
Build and construct wooden shipping containers
Utilize tools for the application of paint and rust preventative

Infrequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
Walk, squat, and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willingness to be trained with pneumatic tools
Willingness to potentially be trained on forklift, cherry pickers, etc.
Additional Information:
Positions are 40 hours per week plus overtime (overtime may be mandatory based on business need)
Second Shift: Monday-Friday 3:30pm-12:00am
Starting wage is $15.00 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential
