At G2 Ops we have extremely competitive pay and benefits and that is not even the best part. Our culture is what sets us apart from other companies. Here, you will not be another payroll number or a cog in the machine. We provide great value to our customers by working as a team and ensuring every member is set up for success. Our team approach allows for each member to not only provide value with their expertise but also gives them the opportunity to cross train in other areas they have interest in.

Let's talk salary. The salary range for this position based on what we are asking you to do in the role starts at $75k+, based on your experience and qualifications. With company standard annual performance reviews in place, plus on the spot awards for recognition; your performance will be rewarded and recognized, we promise!

So you want to work from home? At G2 Ops, we offer a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our employees and customers. Due to the sensitive nature of the IT environments you will be supporting (discussed below), we are not able to offer fully remote opportunities at this time. With that said, you will have your own desk at our G2 Ops office. We do allow teleworking with prior IT Department and manager approval. Here's the thing, we have worked very hard to create an awesome culture where our employees get to come to a collaborative, exciting office environment and we want you to join the fun!

Still not convinced? We are seeking a mid-level person with a security and IT background to join our security team as a Security Administrator. You will be joining a diverse team of IT and security professionals to monitor, maintain, and improve the security posture of G2 Ops' IT environments, both our company (Unclassified) IT environment and our classified IT labs.

For our company IT environment, you and the team will be responsible for installing, administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting security-related technologies within the G2 Ops enterprise. As a member of the Defense Industrial Base, we are required to comply with the requirements of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), and you be a key team member in ensuring we stay compliant with CMMC. Beyond compliance, you will be responsible for performing security tasks to protect our networks, data, and users: firewall management, security monitoring, vulnerability scanning, incident response, patch management, participating in security simulation events, and the like.

For classified labs, you and your teammates will be responsible for shepherding systems through all steps of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), maintaining the classified labs' security posture, and continuously improving the functional and security capabilities of the labs. You will be serving as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) of our classified labs and will work closely with the Information Systems Security Managers (ISSMs) for all aspects of classified IT management.

The position is a great fit for those multi-talented types that enjoy end-to-end cybersecurity. You will be involved in the planning and administrative side of cybersecurity (policy, compliance, project management, etc.) but also be heavily involved in hands-on security.

What does this mean to you? We are searching for an individual that is experienced (minimum of three to five years) in technical cyber with some experience on the management aspects of cyber in the DoD. We are interested in individuals with system administration experience of Windows networks (Windows 10 and Windows Server) and network/host-based security. Other skills that we are interested in (but aren't requiring out of the gate - so long as you are willing to learn) include: Redhat Linux, Amazon AWS, DoD crypto device management, VMWare, Cisco routers/switches/firewalls, ACAS, and HBSS. Optimally, we would like somebody with hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: DoD RMF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, industrial security, and/or CMMC.

Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DoD SECRET or TOP SECRET clearance. You will also need an IAT Level II certification.

Quick Note: We are seeking full-time employees; the continuation of outside employment shall not constitute a conflict with the Company's interest, including performing work for a customer or competitor.

Benefits

  • 100% company-paid insurance for medical, dental, and vision for eligible employees and family members

  • 100% company-paid insurance for life, short-term (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) for eligible employees

  • 401(K) Plan with discretionary employer matching

With company standard annual performance reviews in place, plus on the spot awards for recognition; your performance will be rewarded and recognized, we promise!

So you want to work from home? Let's be honest, remote work is not always all it's cut out to be. At G2 Ops, we offer a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our employees and customers. Due to the classification level of the projects we support, we are not able to offer fully remote opportunities at this time. We do allow teleworking with prior IT Department and manager approval. Here's the thing, we have worked very hard to create an awesome culture where our employees get to come to a collaborative, exciting office environment and we want you to join the fun!

Still not convinced? We are seeking a seasoned DoD cybersecurity pro to join our security team as a Senior Security Engineer. You will be supporting the cybersecurity aspects of new, next-generation systems being developed by the research and development community for Navy submarine afloat and shore platforms. Our team is tasked with providing end-to-end cybersecurity for these systems, and you will be at the forefront spearheading as a cybersecurity subject matter expert - working directly with developers from the R&D community and submarine fleet stakeholders to 'bake in' cybersecurity from initial design through deployment. You and your teammates will be responsible for shepherding systems through all steps of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and achieving IATTs and ATOs, as well as the Navy's Fleet Readiness Certification Board (FRCB) processes.

The position is a great fit for those multi-talented types that enjoy end-to-end cybersecurity. You are probably aware that most cyber positions stovepipe people into either technical (designing secure solutions, validating STIGs, etc.) or management (creating RMF artifacts, maintaining security POA&Ms, etc.). This position isn't like that - you'll be responsible (along with your teammates) for the entire spectrum of cyber support activities, technical to management, cradle to grave.

What does this mean to you? We are searching for an individual that is functional on both the technical and management aspects of cyber in the DoD, with a focus on RMF. On the management side, you need a strong understanding of RMF requirements and processes and how to navigate them to achieve IATTs and ATOs. This includes creating the documents, reports, and artifacts that go in to an RMF package. We will need to install the systems you secure in the fleet, so experience in FRCB processes is beneficial. On the technical side, we are you will need to be functional on cyber tools (ACAS, SCC, etc.) and processes (STIGs/SRGs, etc.), but we're searching for a person that understands cyber beyond the 'checklist' level and that can work with developers to create not just compliant systems but secure systems.

Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DoD TS//SCI clearance or a current SECRET clearance with the ability to get TS//SCI DoD SECRET clearance (we are working with the R&D community on next-gen capabilities, after all). You will also need an IAT Level II certification.

Quick Note: We are seeking full-time employees; the continuation of outside employment shall not constitute a conflict with the Company's interest, including performing work for a customer or competitor.

Congratulations, you made it all the way to the end of this job posting! We look forward to learning more about you!

So you want to work from home? Let's be honest, remote work is not always all it's cut out to be. At G2 Ops, we offer a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our employees and customers. Due to the classification level of the projects we support, we are not able to offer fully remote opportunities at this time. As a Defense Contractor, we are frequently working with sensitive material, and therefore, we need to ensure where you access your work is secure. You will have your own new, shiny desk at one of our G2 Ops offices, plus the occasional opportunity to work on-site directly with our customers (this is a good thing!). We do allow teleworking with prior IT Department and manager approval. Here's the thing, we have worked very hard to create an awesome culture where our employees get to come to a collaborative, exciting office environment and we want you to join the fun!

Still not convinced? Allow us to elaborate. For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Revenue Staff Accountant. This exciting position will serve as a liaison between different departments and have the chance to work with monthly billings based on our current contract requirements and types. This position will also track expense report submissions and ensure invoices are reviewed and submitted in a timely manner. The Revenue Staff Accountant will be involved in the entire billing process from start to finish and support the monthly accounting close processes.

Our amazing accounting team is responsible for maintaining these aspects, but the fun doesn't stop there. You get to work with managers who want the best for their team, in a fun atmosphere with great benefits and company perks!

What does this mean to you? We have a need for all of the usual suspects as it pertains to Accounting. We are seeking your expertise in all contract types including FFP, CPFF & T&M, with a solid understanding of GAAP, FAR and CAS. The requirements for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, project accounting system experience (Unanet is a big plus), minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in government contracting, and of course proficiency in the use of MS Office applications (but advanced expertise with MS Excel)!

Not sure if you are qualified but have some skills? Apply anyway! Remember that cross training we talked about? If you possess any prior skillsets in revenue recognition methodologies, we should still talk.

Congratulations, you made it all the way to the end of this job posting! We look forward to learning more about you!

Virginia Beach, VA

Job Description

Note: This is not a remote position .

What makes someone choose one company over another? Pay, Benefits, Training, Work Satisfaction, Culture? What if you can have it all!

The salary range for this position based on what we are asking you to do in the role starts at $78,000 and goes up to $160,000, based on qualifications. We'd like to start somewhere in that ballpark and go from there.

Due to the classification level of the projects, we support, we are not able to offer fully remote opportunities at this time. We do allow teleworking with prior IT Department and manager approval. Here's the thing, we have worked very hard to create an awesome culture where our employees get to come to a collaborative, exciting office environment and we want you to join the fun!

Still not convinced? Allow us to elaborate. For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. As Software Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle of next-generation DoD cloud native applications. Our ideal candidate will be familiar in both front-end and back-end coding and produce intuitive and functional web interfaces that are user accessible, cross-browser, and cross-platform compatible.

In this role, you will be part of a team that designs, develops, and maintains web-based applications in high-level programming languages such as Java and/or Python. The environment you will be working on is AWS-based, but AWS development experience isn't required (but definitely preferred). You will be working with a wide range of technologies and have many opportunities to learn new areas: OpenShift, Kafka, Docker, SQL and NoSQL databases, virtualization, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, OAUTH2, AWS Cloud Native Service, and Kubernetes.

To be successful in this role, interested candidates should have at least three (3) years of overall software development experience with the DoD. You should have skills in some of the technology areas mentioned earlier to allow you to contribute to the team, but you're not expected to be an expert on all of them 'out-of-the-gate' - the more important part is that you have an eagerness to rapidly learn new technologies and the capacity to apply your new-found skills. We require a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field).

Next, as we are working for the DOD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DOD Top Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI without issue, and a DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, SSCP).

Not sure if you are qualified? Apply anyway! Remember that cross training we talked about? Even if your primary jobs in the past are Cyber or IT, but you have some Cloud/DevOps experience and want to expand your technical prowess in those arenas, we should still talk.

Congratulations, you made it all the way to the end of this job posting! Thanks for reading and we look forward to learning more about you.

Quick Note: We are seeking full-time employees; the continuation of outside employment shall not constitute a conflict with the Company's interest, including performing work for a customer or competitor.

Facility Security Officer - G2 Ops, Inc.
Posted: May 12, 2022 06:24
Arlington, VA

Job Description

What makes someone choose one company over anther? Pay, Benefits, Training, Work Satisfaction, Culture? What if you can have it all!

The salary range for this position based on what we are asking you to do in the role starts at $75,000 and goes up to $110,000, based on qualifications. With company standard annual performance reviews in place, plus on the spot awards for recognition; your performance will be rewarded and recognized, we promise!

So you want to work from home? Let's be honest, remote work is not all it's cut out to be. How do you feel about Telework? Yes! Now there is a happy-medium. At G2 Ops, we offer a flexible schedule with a combination of both in-office and teleworking opportunities. As an FSO, you know that much of the FSO role requires in-person inspections and face-to-face discussion on sensitive matters, so we are not able to offer fully remote opportunities at this time. Hear us out.

For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motived, team-oriented Facility Security Officer (FSO) . We recently opened a G2 Ops office in Arlington and need an experienced FSO to manage all industrial security functions in that office, including people, the facility, and on-site (in conjunction with the ISSM) labs. This is a 'ground floor' opportunity that will allow you to be involved in every industrial security process from the beginning, but you won't be alone -- you will be the industrial security lead in the Arlington office but will be part of a larger team of multiple seasoned FSOs, ISSMs, and other support staff from our other G2 Ops offices throughout the nation.

Additionally, you will also serve as Office Manager in the near-term - helping administer all of the functions that go with running an office. We have a small staff in our new office but we are continually hiring new people, so the plan is that you will transition to full-time FSO as the staff in the Arlington office grows.

What does this mean to you? If you are an FSO, you're already aware of what goes into running industrial security: working with DCSA, visit requests, managing clearances, safeguarding classified information, performing self-audits, investigating security incidents, providing status reports to leadership, and overall protecting the office and organization. We also have a number of labs under DCSA's purview that will need to be certified and managed.

We're looking for a person that has experience either as the primary FSO or as an Assistant FSO. Ideally, you should be well-rounded in all things FSO, but we can help fill gaps in your knowledge if there are some areas you are less familiar with. Regarding years of experience, the number of years' experience is less important than the breadth of experience and your job knowledge; we need a person that can 'hit the ground running' rather than having a person with a certain number of years of experience.

Lastly, the ideal candidate would already possess an active DOD TOP SECRET clearance , but an active DOD SECRET to start is acceptable. Knowledge of basic IT concepts and security is important and the FSO will need to obtain/maintain a Security+ certification, but it isn't critical that you have this to apply - if you have a good skillset, we can send you to training after you're onboard to get Security+.

Quick Note: We are seeking full-time employees; the continuation of outside employment shall not constitute a conflict with the Company's interest, including performing work for a customer or competitor.

Congratulations, you made it all the way to the end of this job posting! We look forward to learning more about you!

Benefits

  • 100% company-paid insurance for medical, dental, and vision for eligible employees and family members

  • 100% company-paid insurance for life, short-term (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) for eligible employees

  • 401(K) Plan with discretionary employer matching

Our team approach allows for each member to not only provide value with their expertise but also gives them the opportunity to cross train in other areas they have interest in.

Let's talk salary. The salary range for this position based on what we are asking you to do in the role starts at $125,000 and goes up to $155,000+, based on your experience and qualifications. We'd like to start somewhere in that ballpark and go from there.

We are seeking a seasoned DoD cybersecurity pro to join our security team as a Principal Security Engineer.

Congratulations, you made it all the way to the end of this job posting! You now know we are offering signing bonuses for qualified candidates for this position.

Posted: Apr 01, 2022 07:35
San Diego, California

Job Description

What makes someone choose one company over another? Pay, Benefits, Training, Work Satisfaction, Culture? What if you can have it all!

The salary range for this position based on what we are asking you to do in the role starts at $70,000 and goes up to $90,000, based on qualifications. We'd like to start somewhere in that ballpark and go from there.

Due to the classification level of the projects we support, we are not able to offer fully remote opportunities at this time. Hear us out. As a Defense Contractor, we are working on and viewing some VERY highly classified material, and therefore, we need to ensure where you access your work is secure. You will have your own new, shiny desk at one of our G2 Ops offices, plus the occasional opportunity to work on-site directly with our customers (this is a good thing!). We do allow teleworking, but only with prior IT Department and manager approval. Here's the thing, we have worked very hard to create an awesome culture where our employees get to come to a collaborative, exciting office environment and we want you to join the fun!

Still not convinced? Allow us to elaborate. We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to establish and administer classified LAN environments and systems deployed in the cloud. This position will join our San Diego team and report to the IT Manager. The IT Systems Administrator (IT Sys Admin) will be responsible for designing, analyzing, maintaining, and implementing LAN/WAN equipment and networks. You will also develop technical policies and procedures regarding activities of the LAN environments. Additional responsibilities include: monitor and test the plans and backup systems, use and interpret results of SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), configure and operate systems IAW DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), maintain need-to-know when allocating security attributes, installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains server and systems configurations to ensure their confidentiality, integrity, and availability. You get the idea. The short: do you know your networks? Good! Because in this role you will administer server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, network storage, messaging, and perform systems monitoring and vulnerability scans (ACAS / Nessus) and manage scan results.

To be successful is this role, the selected candidate will have 5-8 years' of experience administering Windows/Linux networks plus a Bachelor of Science in engineering, cybersecurity, networking, or computer science related degree. Must be familiar with server software installation and administration, windows Server 2016 build-out and administration, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) build-out and administration, and backup and disaster recovery.

Let's talk certifications. If you have a Security+ certification or IAT II equivalent, you're good. If you have a Linux Operating System Certification, you're good. If you have any of the following certifications in addition, even better: RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Cisco, Network+, CISSP or CASP, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.

Lastly, as we are working for the DOD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DOD SECRET clearance or a Top Secret/SCI Clearance being preferred. Must be TS/SCI eligible to be considered.

  • 10 paid holidays
