Job Purpose: The Facilities Services Supervisor is responsible for campus housekeeping/janitorial services. This position is also the primary contact and facilitator for maintenance and repair of personal workspaces and common areas throughout the facility. This position will supervise 1-6 direct employees and direct multiple contractors responsible for performing facility services.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Creating and managing janitorial cleaning and beautification schedules for the campus. This includes contract ownership and work direction for janitorial services, carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing, window cleaning, pest control and similar services and direct supervision of Plant Engineering Laborers and in-house facility painters.
Decisions made by the incumbent on projects will impact facility work environments, productivity, operating costs, and Caterpillar's image as perceived by customers, dealers, employees, and shareholders. The incumbent is the direct contact for office space maintenance. Incumbent works directly with security, maintenance, administrative assistants, outside vendors, IT, contractors, and project engineers.
Challenges of this position include: quickly and correctly identifying problems, working with people and facilitating teamwork; clearly communicating project requirements and deliverables; reviewing and recommending approval of supplier invoices; preparing and issuing purchase orders and work tickets; creating on-going lists of unfinished work items, and follows-up ensuring items are completed on time to meet project deadlines, gaining input from team members; and monitoring team's achievement of project objectives, facilitating project completion and closeout.
Management of personnel relocations and documentation of assigned desk locations.
Support of all audio/visual equipment in conference rooms, offices and visitor centers including managing contracts and resources that support this work.
Management and coordination of office furniture and desk accessory requests including budgeting and repair.
Key replacements and lockset repair/replacement.
Audio/visual troubleshooting, repair & replacement including data & power.
Project management skills are required for small remodel and repair jobs. Likely projects include carpet repairs, flooring replacement and repairs, minor office area remodels, wall painting and repairs.
Requires interpersonal skills and communications, also requires organizational and leadership skills with the ability to direct a diverse team of suppliers and specialized professionals. Incumbent must have the ability to grasp complex business processes, interpret facility needs and issues, assist in developing appropriate solutions, and effectively implement at the project and transactional levels.
Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's level degree with 1 years of relevant work experience, OR Associates level degree with 3 years relevant work experience, OR no degree with 5 years relevant work experience.
Understand of shop operations and maintenance procedures.
Familiar with company policies and procedures with a strong department background.
Able to build strong relationships with various stakeholders.
Effective working and communicating with various company and supplier personnel, business managers and well as site leadership.
Ability to communicate and have basic knowledge of functions performed by the skilled-trades personnel.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Direct experience in facilities and maintenance
Creative ability to lay out efficient office arrangements and develop office systems.

Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer III position located in the Franklin, IN facility . This position will have an opportunity to provide the technical expertise necessary to support, design, develop, and implement manufacturing systems and processes, consisting of complex manufacturing operations and sophisticated manufacturing machines.
What you will be doing:
Developing, analyzing, and managing Manufacturing/machining /Assembly Projects
Lead new technology introduction including replacing current machining process & developing new machining processes
Working with multiple departments to ensure material flow, material availability, tooling and quality processes are implemented for successful NPI and engineering change management
Training new processors and developing training programs and documentation for Processors and Assemblers
Leading problem solving activities to address operational issues including: ergonomic/safety, efficiency improvements, process bottlenecks, quality concerts
Working with internal and external suppliers to develop and manage projects to ensure efficient and cost-effective systems and processes to produce quality products
Providing manufacturing technical support in process control and internal certification
Coordinating the purchase and application of machine tools, controls, and related equipment corporate wide to ensure the latest technology is being used to increase efficiency and economy of operations
Designing complex or intricate jigs and fixtures
Designing lifting devices and assembly aids

Job Summary:
The Electric Power Division has an exciting opportunity as a Production Support Specialist position.You will work in an environment that supports excellence. You will lead your team in effort to support continuous improvement. You will also perform Very Early Hour Reliability (VEHR) testing, as well as conduct Vital 5 quality audits on component parts.

Produce and deliver the Production Issued drawings to include -As-Builts- and -QC Copy- with the appropriate water marks in a timely manner to the Operations Team
Coordinate and reissue drawings as required and per the ISO drawing process.
Create the IPQC package for each project

Ensure documentation is complete and accurate
Load and print the wire labels for each project

Perform Made 2 Manage Audits and reconcile hours
Create travelers for jobs in production for Operations Team to ensure accurate labor charging
Scan Red-Lines back to project folders and engineering
Support Aftermarket and Field Service with any documentations printing as needed
Must keep all areas clean and orderly

JOB DUTIES:
Assigned to specialized equipment: i.e. Reach Trucks, Order Pickers
Consistently meet equipment-specific efficiency targets
Utilizing and inspecting heavy equipment including sit down fork truck, pallet jack and overhead hoists
Perform material handling and warehousing functions, Order filling, processing, storing/ picking of parts, materials, equipment and supplies
Facility rearrangement to facilitate receipts of additional material.
Work closely with supervisor and Team Leads to work various location and inventory discrepancies.
Perform random and scheduled inventory and receipt audits as directed.
Accountable for training employees on any process.

Perform above operations on lines such air, hydraulic, lubricating, etc., on products such as quarry machines, strippers, etc.

Previous experience with thread dies, portable drillings and sawing tools, screwdrivers, pipe wrenches, chisels, and other hand tools, jib and overhead cranes, etc.
Previous experience working with steel, copper pipes, tubing, elbows, tees, couplings, unions, fittings, grease, oil, coolant, other miscellaneous hardware, gauges, etc.
Working knowledge of High, medium and low pressure hydraulic and automated lube systems.
Ability to read drawings.

In this role as a Manufacturing Engineer, you will report to the Group Manager and will be primarily responsible for working both independently and as part of a team to maintain and improve processes and systems used in manufacturing. In addition, Manufacturing Engineers function as a specialist and subject matter expert for technical planning throughout the manufacturing facility. Material Handlers pick and kit materials, communicate / respond with material movement to and from both production areas and outside locations in a safe and expeditious manner and to accurately document material movement in support of our heavy machinery production teams.
Other duties include :
Responsible for putting safety first with a goal to prevent all injuries, occupational illnesses and safety incidents. When you are a Logistics Support at Caterpillar, you will be under limited direction and perform a variety of logistic support activities in the areas of logistics planning, materials planning, packaging analysis, or order analysis and other duties as assigned. Change Management Certification preferred
Six Sigma Black Belt Certification desirable
