JOB DESCRIPTION:
Will serve as a Human Resources functional manager in support of Caterpillar's business teams; will specifically manage and contribute to the development and administration of human resources policies and procedures as well as actively assist in the joint strategic leadership of the division. Will conduct confidential employ investigations and assist with management of the global compensation cycle. Will provide direction and guidance to all levels of employees on HR policies and procedure. Will develop and coordinate training, development and promotion to ensure proper and effective staffing, personnel selection and practices, manpower planning and succession planning, skills development, training, policy & practice interpretation and application. Will work to drive change in the space of Talent and Organization Design and Location. This position requires approximately 10% domestic travel.
REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a Master's degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources Management, or a closely related field and 2 years of experience performing business HR management in support of a global leadership team. Position also requires 2 years of experience (1) providing human resources coaching and consulting with high-level management of a multinational organization; (2) holding responsibility for a work unit of professional employees (including providing training, developing, and mentoring); (3) conducting employee investigations and consulting with senior leaders on global compensation planning; and (4) leveraging data and analytical tools (Power BI dashboards, Tableau, Pivot Tables) in support of company business objectives.
Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources Management, or a closely related field and 5 years of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) performing business HR management in support of a global leadership team. Weld technician & robot programmer responsibility for a fabricated component assembly line
Designs, develops, and implements the integration of manufacturing systems including factory control software, simulation and systems application.
Works with operations team on routings and processing of welded components.
Develops Standard Work for welding processes and welded assemblies.
Provides direction and guidance to other manufacturing personnel in a continuous effort to improve manufacturing productivity.
Works with suppliers (both internal and external) in the development of processes, which ensure the most efficient and cost-effective systems or operations to produce quality products.
Determines adaptability of existing corporate applications and prepares feasibility studies for new applications.
Coordinates various existing systems and operations with new systems and operations to ensure compatibility and assists others to modify systems accordingly to implement total package.
Provides leadership in the implementation of new technologies within the factory.
Develops individual presentations on all integration projects.
Performs liaison duties with various functional areas to promote smooth transition of new and revised corporate and plant systems and processes.
This position is responsible for the implementation of minor and major systems and the coordination of those systems with the areas of responsibility.
Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost in performing assigned duties.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years' experience with arc welding with a strong focus on heavy plate welding using the GMAW process
Bachelor's degree
In lieu of Bachelor's degree:2 years as a Manufacturing Engineer 1 or Section Manager 2 OR 6 years of relevant manufacturing experience

Job Purpose:
The Trade Compliance Support Representative is the team lead for Restricted Party Screening analysts (agency employees) and primarily responsible for performing analysis, due diligence and record keeping on potential hits identified through the enterprise sanctions and denied party screening protocols. They will also be responsible for drafting and review of policies, procedures, and screening criteria for the in-house screening team, as well as working with the Enterprise GTS team on activity concerning new and legacy logical systems related to Restricted Party Screening.
Description:
Review screening alerts around regulatory/non regulatory enterprise-wide searches of Caterpillar business partner master and transactional data to determine if hits are false positives or require additional due diligence before a final determination can be made. Review alerts to determine if a true match exists to a suspect name on one or more of the screening lists. The review will include the output and results of periodic systematic screenings and real-time review of online transactions. Position will document each hit researched and provide a written summary of the issues and proposed resolution. Position is expected to perform at a 100% quality rate. This will be done by daily monitoring and review of the mechanical screening system and manual screening requests for which the enterprise is responsible and liable.
Schedule of workflow among team members to review and provide disposition on 235,000 monthly screening hits, on average.
Review and resolution of screening holds on 35,000+ master data records monthly.
Review and resolution of screening holds on 5,700+ transactional records monthly.
Review and resolution of 120+ warranty screening hits per month with warranty services team.
Review and adjudication of second level screening for any suspicious activity/concerns escalated by the screening team via the mechanical system or for manual requests from the Enterprise.
Will work with the Screening Manager, Sanctions Analyst or Operations Manager.
Drafting and review of policies, procedures, and screening criteria for the in-house screening team.
On-going training of team members.
Prioritize and schedule Caterpillar legacy system workflow for screening team to maximize hit resolution productivity.
Utilize guidelines such as all relevant export control regulations, broad policy statements, basic legislation, recent scientific findings, or reports, often ambiguous in nature and requiring interpretation. The incumbent uses judgment to interpret new or revised professional standards and codes, guidelines, policy statements or regulations.
Employee may also be responsible for performing other job duties occasionally as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
Requires a college or university degree OR at least 5 years of experience in screening compliance and export control regulations.
The position requires a self-starter capable of working under minimum supervision. The candidate must be a result driven individual and be attentive to details while maintaining a sense of urgency.
Incumbents have usually gained 2+ years of experience in screening compliance and must demonstrate high levels of initiative, good judgment, and superior communication skills.
Must be able to prioritize and adjust workflow to a constantly changing workload.
Must have a strong sense of accountability and ownership of end-to-end best practices is required.
Requires strong analytical and time management skills, adept at multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
Must be able to identify opportunities for process improvement and formulate suggested changes to work processes or documentation.
Strong documentation skills to clearly articulate alert disposition are required, and the incumbent must adhere to documented controls and standards.
Must have ability to communicate technical and regulatory information effectively with team members and others in the work group and employees in other units.
This position requires the use of SAP GTS.

Duties and Expectations:
As a Test Mechanic for Caterpillar, Inc. you can expect to test finished machines in accordance with Engineering/Quality Control test specifications. Diagnose and repair defective units. You will repair, replace and coordinate calibrations of test equipment. You will find yourself assisting manufacturing engineers developing and proving test procedures and equipment, as well as assist product engineers to set RTD specs and limits. Engage with suppliers to trouble shoot and adjust components to meet specifications. You will respond to line down situations, troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic issues. This may include assembly/rework of production units. VMC programming. Electronically and manually maintain documentation for labor hour records, process work order and production documentation.
On the organizational side you can expect to coordinate and prioritize work to meet production schedules. Take initiative to identify, document, communicate and correct problems, report discrepancies and recommend solutions. Testing heavy equipment regularly outside in all weather conditions. 90% of workday is spent around machines operating at high idle and under high pressure with noise levels of 80db or greater on occasion. The E&APSD Fuel Cell Team has an exciting and impactful career opportunity for a Senior Program Planner.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for creating and managing project plans for New Technology Introduction and New Product Introduction Fuel Cell projects for our E&APS Division. You will work within the NTI / NPI framework to deliver high visibility Fuel Cell programs on-time and to specification by improving the effectiveness of project plans, helping to position Caterpillar to sit at the forefront of the energy transition.
A thorough understanding of project management tools and processes is required. Incumbent will have demonstrated the ability to facilitate programs, lead chartering sessions, develop critical paths, lead integration and compression sessions. Position reports into the NPI Program Manager.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating with program managers to schedule and support program control meetings & compression sessions and drive schedule changes/corrections
Leading update meetings for program level issues/action logs, risk registers/FMEAs, scope change requests/logs, program work plans, program cost tracking and provide workshop planning, execution and follow-up assistance
Creating accurate and detailed schedules including:
Capturing all information, interpreting, and identifying relationships between activities
Analyzing data from schedule updates
Working with project team members to resolve logic errors, explaining changes due to updates, and recommending actions to resolve schedule problems.
Working with engineering, validation, manufacturing & supply chain to develop their detailed activities and schedule
Working with team members to emphasize the importance of the program schedule to be successful in implementing on time, with in cost, and at the required quality targets.

Utilizing engineering judgement to help the team construct accurate and thorough project plans to achieve key milestones.
