Summary You will serve as a Mail Assistant in the Naval District Washington, Regional Postal Division of Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) of NAVSUP FLC NORVA GF. Responsibilities You will receive, sort, collect, meter postage, process, deliver, and direct the distribution of incoming and outgoing U.S. Mail. You will ensure all incoming and outgoing mail is in adherence with all regulations, policies, procedures and other applicable guidelines and laws. You will examine all mail material for evidence of tampering, damage, compliance with packing and labeling requirements. You will exercise judgement involving intimate knowledge and processing actions of technical and complex mail classifications, subject matter materials, programs, and functions. You will operate various class (C) vehicles, to collect, pick-up, deliver and dispatch all U.S. Mail, Messenger Mail, and Inter-agency Mail. You will load and unload vehicles with mail in USPS containers such as plastic/cardboard trays and tubs, mail sacks, sealed boxes and parcels. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that has equipped me with the working knowledge to perform a full range of mail and filing procedures including receiving, sorting, delivering, and directing the distributing of incoming and outgoing mail. Summary You will serve as a Motor Vehicle Operator in the Supply Management Department, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Management Branch of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO. The duty station is Point Mugu, CA. Responsibilities You will be responsible for transporting hazardous materials within area of responsibility. You will be responsible for following the safest and most direct route to prescribed destination. You will be responsible for completing and documenting pre-operational checklists. You will be responsible for loading and directing the arrangement of cargo. You will be responsible for using a forklift to load and unload cargo. You will operate a tractor trailer and other vehicles on public roads, congested areas, including positioning vehicles and trailers at loading docks, and coupling and uncoupling trailers. You will perform operator maintenance on trucks and assigned vehicles. You will primarily drive routes which include Metro San Diego, El Centro and Ventura County.
